This was a great video to watch! I am very happy I found your channel. I live on the east coast and I really want to move to New Zealand once I finish my studies here. Thank you for taking the time to make this!
You forgot to talk about 1. New Zealand is considered as a no 1 no corruption country. 2. People are loyal 3. When your wife said about whether then you manipulated her to compare it with the snow that its just one step away from house in canada but you both know the complication of having snow in winters. Even we all know NZ temp. Is far better than Canada. I'm not trying to say Canada is not a good country even though both are good in their own terms but I have talked about basic facts that everyone must know.
Nice Video folks. I am a retired Canadian who travels to NZ and Aussie during our winter. I find NZ to be very similar to British Columbia in their geography. Lots of mountains and coastline. If you want to compare the size of the 2 countries you can fit almost 4 NZ's in the province of British Columbia. One difference I also noticed was the design of many NZ homes which are often poorly insulated. As well, Kiwis (New Zealanders) usually do not have heating inside the house and use Duvets on the bed to keep warm at night. So, in general you are greeted by a cool or cold house in the morning in NZ. One Kiwi mentioned that sometimes you can see your breath in the house in the morning. I laughed and said this would be a 911 emergency in Canada. Cheers ;-)
Thank you so much for your input which is absolutely true about the heating in New Zealand. When we lived in New Plymouth, we only had a small heater for our room during winter and kept ourselves warm with duvet, blankets, layering... That's why we were so surprised to see how good heating system is in Canada during our first winter in Toronto 🙂
Thanks A A for the information. I travelled to Sydney and Perth during spring time so I didn't really experience the winter there. By the way, Melbourne is on my list to travel after the pandemic for sure.
What it comes down to is that Canada has a very much larger economy. New Zealand will never be able to compete with that sort wealth . Also Canads's international Border is with the USA, the world's largest economy, Canada most important trading partner.

When you say “Free” healthcare, education etc I assume what you mean to say Is that you have public “fill in the blank service”. All supported by your tax dollars.
Thank you Nathan. Yes we do know those are public services from our own pocket as taxes. However, from an immigrant's perspective, it is "free" compared to what we had in our home countries. We did pay taxes, medical bills, tuition fees... at the same time.
@@Albertarealestate1 Yes. However NZ depends on two main industries. Farming which will not be affected by shutdown. What about your other major industry called tourism? It is a major component of your economy. I toured NZ few years ago, and this is something I noticed.
I meant NZ succeeded curbing the spread of Covid-19 due to their "isolated" geographic location. Yeah tourism industry is definitely affected severely by the pandemic everywhere but at least kiwis are free to travel domestically I believe. Anyway its also another story as we are residing in Canada now 🙂
Hi Swaran, both countries offer public-funded/universal heathcare (your tax money) to its residents/PRs and citizenships - certain temporary foreign workers are also eligible. You do not have to pay hospital bills but you have to pay for prescription.
Move to Vancouver and you be ten minutes from the beach or live on the beach front . Also on the East side of Canada we have the Atlantic ocean and you can live there too if you prefer the beach .
Thanks Raymond. We just tried to compare in general as we were never too far away from the beaches New Zealand as an island 😊 anyway we would love to travel to see the beach/ocean here.
Hi Swaran, I think there are job opportunities for mechanical engineers as the occupation is on NZ's long-term skills shortage list. For example, some part of Christchurch is still under construction which needs mechanical engineers.
It would be hard for us to give you advice as we don't work in engineering field. However, we can see that there is labour demand for qualified engineers in Canada as well and the pay would be depending on the cities/provinces. If talking about immigration aspect for engineers, I think Canada may give you an advantage on that.
Hi Jayandra, education.govt.nz states that education is free for children between 5 and 19 at public schools. But please feel free to correct us if we are wrong 🙂

Kia ora Frank! New Zealand is a true paradise, isn't it? ☺️
New Zealand, No sneaky Liars
Thank you for your comment!

New Zealand is expensive. NZ is isolated. NZ is the size of a postage card.
It's undeniable NZ is quite small and isolated but on the other hand it was also their advantage during Covid-19 pandemic 🙂
@@Albertarealestate1 i do not deny NZ had certain advantages
@@Albertarealestate1 Yes. However NZ depends on two main industries. Farming which will not be affected by shutdown. What about your other major industry called tourism? It is a major component of your economy. I toured NZ few years ago, and this is something I noticed.
I meant NZ succeeded curbing the spread of Covid-19 due to their "isolated" geographic location.
Yeah tourism industry is definitely affected severely by the pandemic everywhere but at least kiwis are free to travel domestically I believe. Anyway its also another story as we are residing in Canada now 🙂
@@Albertarealestate1 luckily both of us are living in Canada. Tourism is affected in Canada however not a critical factor of the economy.
Nice one guys,
We are in the same position, right now living in Nz but with the difficult of the PR here thinking about Canada. ✌️✌️
Thanks Una. We hope everything will work out for you!
hi guys!!! what about health care in both countries
Hi Swaran, both countries offer public-funded/universal heathcare (your tax money) to its residents/PRs and citizenships - certain temporary foreign workers are also eligible. You do not have to pay hospital bills but you have to pay for prescription.
@@Albertarealestate1 I have heard that the amount of attention people get at the hospitals is average in canada

lol I love these guys :D
Any reliable agency in nz going to canada ?
Hi Amber, sorry we did not use agency in NZ for our Canada PR. The one helped us was from India - Balli is from India 🙂
The sound is a little weak
Sorry Amir, one of our first vlogs but thank you for your feedback ☺️
Move to Vancouver and you be ten minutes from the beach or live on the beach front . Also on the East side of Canada we have the Atlantic ocean and you can live there too if you prefer the beach .
Thanks Raymond. We just tried to compare in general as we were never too far away from the beaches New Zealand as an island 😊 anyway we would love to travel to see the beach/ocean here.
To be honest - Canada wins overall❤️
I want to know how to get PR in new zealand
Hi Daniel, it will depend a lot on your background, skills,... I suggest that you should talk to a licensed immigration consultant in New Zealand.
Lovely couple
Thank you 😍
Hy guys i wanted to know about hows the mechanical engineers scope in new Zealand .
Hi Swaran, I think there are job opportunities for mechanical engineers as the occupation is on NZ's long-term skills shortage list. For example, some part of Christchurch is still under construction which needs mechanical engineers.
@@Albertarealestate1 when compared to canada which would be a right choice for me . Thank you for the response from your side ☺️
It would be hard for us to give you advice as we don't work in engineering field. However, we can see that there is labour demand for qualified engineers in Canada as well and the pay would be depending on the cities/provinces. If talking about immigration aspect for engineers, I think Canada may give you an advantage on that.
@@Albertarealestate1
Hello how are you doing
I don’t think NZ has free education
Hi Jayandra, education.govt.nz states that education is free for children between 5 and 19 at public schools. But please feel free to correct us if we are wrong 🙂
Kia ora
Kia ora from Canada ☺️
What job do you do in Canada so you want so much money in 3 month

Good. I wait for love from you 💝💖
Lake beach vs (Piha or Muriwai) beach. NO comparison. Guys amazing video.
Thanks Varinder! For me NZ beaches are the best 😄

@@Albertarealestate1 I agree with you. Miss NZ.
The music is too loud, and i can hardly hear you both, and i have the volume up all the way to full.
Music is only in first 10sec and yes it is high comparatively, thanks for the input. We will make sure to adjust the pitch from next time.
