Our son stepped on rusty barbed wire, and of course he didn't say anything until it was swollen and red with red streaks running halfway to his knee! I looked on line and it said bring to the hospital immediately for IV antibiotics for 3- 5 days! We didn't want that so I kept looking and found the raw potato poultice. I marked the top of the lines with marker so I could see if it went higher- then I would bring him in. The next morning the lines were half the size! It took 3 days before the lines and swelling were gone, but we continued the potato poultice for another 2 days to make sure. Potato poultice instead of IV antibiotics!:)
Wow, that took courage. I don't think I could of done that. We're so punked by all the pro Western Medicine people around us into thinking we're bad parents if we don't use their ways for treatment.

I can confirm what she said about the onion under the feet. My granddaughter kept on coughing all night. I couldn't take it anymore because she kept waking up with the coughing, so i got the onion and put it under her feet, and i kid you not ! Immediately, the coughing stopped and we all went back to sleep.

Thank you, Barbara! My grandma told me that her dad, who was a doctor, recommended raw garlic very often to his patients. He also ate it everyday, never got sick and died peacefully at the age of 97. It is my first option of antibiotic, and I eat it very often, mostly in a guacamole, with avocado, lemon, onion, olive oil, etc. What else could I ask for? My Labrador retriever has a lipoma on the chest that it's larger than a football 🏈. He's 12 years old and his vet doesn't want to operate due to the size and the hours he'd have to be under anesthesia. I looked up if I could use Castor oil on dogs and found out that it's safe. I carefully shaved the area and use a doggy pee pad to put the Castor oil but I also warm it and rub it in the area. Then put the pad over the lipoma and use a heating pad in medium heat. I put it for 45 minutes to an hour and the oil is fully absorbed by the end. In 5 treatments the lipoma has gone down noticeably. He's even laying down to sleep on that side, which he hadn't done in years. ❤

These remind me of home remedies my mom told me about from her childhood, especially the onion syrup. She was born in the 1920s, before antibiotics, in a family of 11. She said they were almost never sick. I'm going to try the caster oil for my fibroids and chronic pain in my neck and shoulder. Thank you madam!

7 days ago I fell and hurt my knee. What I thought was just a scrape got very swollen and hot. I used the potato poultice for 2 days and it works wonderfully. Swelling is gone, healing is in process. Thank you and bless you in Jesus name.
Also make a comfrey poultice. Long ago it was called knit bone and now we hear it called bone fix and bone mend. it will actually heal a broken bone and it also heals muscle and tissue. Healed my knees that had been a problem on and off for several years. I made the poultice and left it on overnight and the next day I was pain-free.

I just love listening to your lectures and the sound advice with such simple ingredients that we can find in our homes. It really takes away the fear that we often have when we get injured or start feeling ill.
A friend gets boils around the rectum quite often. I showed them the video and they put the onion on the boil and after a few hours the boil burst and all the blood and pus came out and gave complete relief. My granddaughter at age 18 months had a boil come up on her little tush. My daughter-in-law put grated potato in her diaper. She did this overnight the first time and in the morning she squeezed the area and got half a cup of pus out. She put more grated potato on the area and the next diaper change the leg was just moved up to take the old diaper off and another 8 ounces of pus shot out. The baby was much better. Amazing home remedy! I started making homemade Castile soap. In each batch of soap I add one bottle of castor oil. As I have only used my Castile soap I noticed that a toenail fungus that I had for ten years or more cleared up. It's gone! The man I work for noticed the same thing! My mother has been suffering from a terrible toenail infection for 30 years or more. I gave her a bottle of castor oil and her toenails are growing out normal! She had gone to doctors and given up hope that she would ever get rid of it. She is so happy with castor oil.
When my daughter was 7 years old, we were walking on the road my grandmother lived on, and she fell and landed on her knees. She got a big piece of a broken coke cola (or some clear soda bottle) bottom where it is thick shoved rather deeply into the edge of her kneecap. I carried her back to the house and cleaned her leg up, there was no way I was going to be able to get that object out of her knee...it was simply too deep. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it when putting a needle gently into the hole. So, we filled a pan with warm water and Epson salt and let her place her knee in the water for 20 min...then dumped that water out and refilled the pan with warm water and peroxide and she soaked that knee again for 20 more minutes. We did that every day for 5 days...and then that huge piece of glass came out all by itself! It was roughly rounded and the size of a dime, and left a hole that we soaked again to clean it out really good. Then we bandaged it for a while, before letting the air heal it. 💕 Natural is always the best way! 👍

I used a castor oil pack on my back. For years I had a place just under my ribs that had a congested feeling. I had tried many things including professional massages to different herbal teas to soaking baths. Last night I made a castor oil pack and left it on my back all night. Today my back feels great! No congestion! Thank you for putting these videos out for everyone to see!
I have suffered from itching from insect bites all my life. The bites usually swell up and itch profusely for at least a week , often disturbing sleep. Sometimes I would apply hydrocortisone cream with some relief, but then it would take longer to heal up. I tried ginger last year. I simply cut a thin slice of fresh ginger root and attach it with a band aid over the bug bite. I leave it on until the ginger is shriveled up. It takes care of the itch immediately and the bites heal up much faster. Such relief! Thank you Barbara! I also had an inflamed allergic rash a earlier this year that would not improve over several months . I applied grated potato poultice overnight and fresh aloe juice in the morning for a couple of weeks and it cleared up.

I come from Poland, and I'm 42, so my grandmother didn't know about ginger and cayen peppers, but any other hearbs, garlic, potatoes, onion, or natural extract healing I still ask my mother what to do in some cases. As an idea for a zero waste, plastic-free, version of the mess-free poultice, one could use a (real) wax cloth instead of the glad wrap. To make reusable wax cloth, use any kind of cotton or viscose weave (canvas, bed linen, tea towel, or something as light as a handkerchief), lay the fabric out on a piece of parchment paper, melt some wax or easier grate solid wax to sprinkle on top, cover with another parchment layer and iron the wax in until all of it has evenly soaked into the fabric. (The wax can be for crafting, food or cosmetic purposes, from a candle, ideally pure beeswax, but stearin or paraffin are also fine and clean options - just notice that gravelights are not, as they contain a dirty composition of reclaimed food fats including animal grease that will spoil at some point if it hasn't already.) These Wraps can be used to cover food, Just like cheesewrap or freezer paper. To Reuse the sheet, wash it hand warm with dish detergent, rinse, dry and iron again between parchment paper both to disinfect the material and to renew the waterproofing. The wraps can last almost forever and finally be downcycled aß excellent firestarters.
That was a great lecture. I read about many of the remedies , as I have done some studies in Medical Missionary. However, I enjoyed watching it again after my intensive studies several years ago. Charcoal has been my form of medicine for years, as I have been poisoned on a few occasions. Now, I do not eat from anyone , no church, no friends. I do not eat at restaurants. Barbara, I heard you on a utube video and search for a new video to watch everyday. I just listened to this one and took notes. I called my brother in law with gout and told him her remedy to try. When my sister and I were eight 910, we developed for some reason boils 1 to 2 at a time. My mother would take a raw potato graded, put it all in 4 x 4, gods pad and tape it directly over the boil. It would bring it to ahead within two days, she would change it of course like once a day I did that with my kids and they had this series and Boyles works great. When I was about 14 I stepped on a rusty nail and limped home with a wet foot. My mother heated some milk and rolled & compressed a piece of bread and wrapped it to my throbbing foot. I woke up the next morning and took it off and wondered what the fuss was about, lol. Charcoal is the best thing for boils - I put a little bit on a band-aid then stick on where the boil/pimple is, leave overnight then the next day the charcoal drains everything out, no scars, no red marks, works every time.
I drink activated charcoal with lots of water whenever i am detoxing, I also use it for inflammation in my stomach.It's definitely handy to keep on hand for numerous ailments. I soak vege's & fruit if i can't get organic food.

Thank you so much for all this precious information you share with us. I also wanted to say that my greek grandma would always crash an onion and place it on my, ever so often, sprained ankles. Just over night the swelling would be gone. Also for my infected tonsills she would wet a piece of cotton with a bit of clear alcohol, add some black pepper and wrap it around my throat. Also worked miracles. Last but not least she would use honey direct spread on the skin of the chest when I would cough a lot cover it with a towel to not stick on my clothes and put me to sleep. @@37enli Hi there. I was very simple really. She used pure alcohol the see-through one. Uses cotton enough to cover the frond part of the throat from tonsil to tonsil and wet it with the alcohol. No need to be dripping wet. Then she'd springle some thin plack pepper on it and place it straight on the skin. Keep it fixed with a scarf lets say and leave it over night. It feels hot but I never got skin irritation of it. Maybe with cayenne pepper it works better but that I dont know. :) Good luck. :)

Did this with my bad knee and applied cayenne and olive oil to make it stringer for the knee. Then lipped on a leg warmer over the knee and the pultice. Can't wait to get castor oil!!!

I can confirm what she said about the onion under the feet. My granddaughter kept on coughing all night. I couldn't take it anymore because she kept waking up with the coughing, so i got the onion and put it under her feet, and i kid you not ! Immediately, the coughing stopped and we all went back to sleep.
How exactly did you do it? I tried with my baby but I didn't work (and stunk the whole house out) 😭
I try for my son he has nose running and caught , I apply onion on his food at night the smell is not good but after 5 night he is healing.Now it almost a year he don’t cough any more .Thank God for give us vegetable for good medicine .Also thank you Barbara .
Thank you, Barbara! My grandma told me that her dad, who was a doctor, recommended raw garlic very often to his patients. He also ate it everyday, never got sick and died peacefully at the age of 97. It is my first option of antibiotic, and I eat it very often, mostly in a guacamole, with avocado, lemon, onion, olive oil, etc. What else could I ask for? Sometimes people forget that we are part of nature, and that most, if not all, solutions for our problems can be found in nature.

Such a blessing to find. Been discovering EGW teachings about avoiding medicine, healing in natural ways... As a doctor, I feel completely and utterly helpless if someone tells me to treat someone without the use of drugs. How to do that??? I prayed so much over the last few weeks for God to show me practically which natural remedies are part of His healing methods, since there are so many false "natural" options too. In South Africa, for instance, cannabis has become so popular and is also legal. Natural is not always healing, so I was pleading for truthful answers.
God is answering me with these videos. Please share more. Don't stop. I will seek out all of these lectures and drink them in. Thank you and may God guide us in these crisis times to follow HIS ways.

My husband did a castor oil compress 2 days ago for his back lower bone..He was in pain. after the compress his pain went away. He was amazed.
My Labrador retriever has a lipoma on the chest that it's larger than a football 🏈. He's 12 years old and his vet doesn't want to operate due to the size and the hours he'd have to be under anesthesia. I looked up if I could use Castor oil on dogs and found out that it's safe. I carefully shaved the area and use a doggy pee pad to put the Castor oil but I also warm it and rub it in the area. Then put the pad over the lipoma and use a heating pad in medium heat. I put it for 45 minutes to an hour and the oil is fully absorbed by the end. In 5 treatments the lipoma has gone down noticeably. He's even laying down to sleep on that side, which he hadn't done in years. ❤

These remind me of home remedies my mom told me about from her childhood, especially the onion syrup. She was born in the 1920s, before antibiotics, in a family of 11. She said they were almost never sick. I'm going to try the caster oil for my fibroids and chronic pain in my neck and shoulder. Thank you madam!

7 days ago I fell and hurt my knee. What I thought was just a scrape got very swollen and hot. I used the potato poultice for 2 days and it works wonderfully. Swelling is gone, healing is in process. Thank you and bless you in Jesus name.

Also make a comfrey poultice. Long ago it was called knit bone and now we hear it called bone fix and bone mend. it will actually heal a broken bone and it also heals muscle and tissue. Healed my knees that had been a problem on and off for several years. I made the poultice and left it on overnight and the next day I was pain-free.
Barbara is truly a Gift from God. I have had a few ops etc and if I had 'discovered' Barbara back yonder I probably would have still had some organs etc...Now I know and will do right. Thank you Barbara for your divine wisdom.

I have been applying a castor oil compress on various areas of my torso, where there are symptoms that indicate the need. I also use cayenne pepper as my preferred first aid choice for TIA/stroke symptoms. It's GR8.. 10 minutes after the symptoms settle, " Oh the lawn needs mowing." And away I go and I'm fine.

A friend gets boils around the rectum quite often. I showed them the video and they put the onion on the boil and after a few hours the boil burst and all the blood and pus came out and gave complete relief.
My granddaughter at age 18 months had a boil come up on her little tush. My daughter-in-law put grated potato in her diaper. She did this overnight the first time and in the morning she squeezed the area and got half a cup of pus out. She put more grated potato on the area and the next diaper change the leg was just moved up to take the old diaper off and another 8 ounces of pus shot out. The baby was much better. Amazing home remedy!
I started making homemade Castile soap. In each batch of soap I add one bottle of castor oil. As I have only used my Castile soap I noticed that a toenail fungus that I had for ten years or more cleared up. It's gone! The man I work for noticed the same thing!
My mother has been suffering from a terrible toenail infection for 30 years or more. I gave her a bottle of castor oil and her toenails are growing out normal! She had gone to doctors and given up hope that she would ever get rid of it. She is so happy with castor oil.

When my daughter was 7 years old, we were walking on the road my grandmother lived on, and she fell and landed on her knees. She got a big piece of a broken coke cola (or some clear soda bottle) bottom where it is thick shoved rather deeply into the edge of her kneecap. I carried her back to the house and cleaned her leg up, there was no way I was going to be able to get that object out of her knee...it was simply too deep. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it when putting a needle gently into the hole. So, we filled a pan with warm water and Epson salt and let her place her knee in the water for 20 min...then dumped that water out and refilled the pan with warm water and peroxide and she soaked that knee again for 20 more minutes. We did that every day for 5 days...and then that huge piece of glass came out all by itself! It was roughly rounded and the size of a dime, and left a hole that we soaked again to clean it out really good. Then we bandaged it for a while, before letting the air heal it. 💕 Natural is always the best way! 👍

I used a castor oil pack on my back. For years I had a place just under my ribs that had a congested feeling. I had tried many things including professional massages to different herbal teas to soaking baths. Last night I made a castor oil pack and left it on my back all night. Today my back feels great! I have used the “Health Through God’s Pharmacy” book for remedies for many years. These are a wonderful addition to those remedies. Thank-you.
I have suffered from itching from insect bites all my life. The bites usually swell up and itch profusely for at least a week , often disturbing sleep. Sometimes I would apply hydrocortisone cream with some relief, but then it would take longer to heal up. I tried ginger last year. I simply cut a thin slice of fresh ginger root and attach it with a band aid over the bug bite. I leave it on until the ginger is shriveled up. It takes care of the itch immediately and the bites heal up much faster. Such relief! Thank you Barbara!
I also had an inflamed allergic rash a earlier this year that would not improve over several months . I applied grated potato poultice overnight and fresh aloe juice in the morning for a couple of weeks and it cleared up.

I recently tried the onion juice and onion under the foot and it helped my little one with her terrible cough.
Garlic is truly an antibiotic. My midwife made me sit in warm water with crushed garlic and salt for a few weeks, after my delivery and it healed my bottom without any antibiotic.
Please explain to me how I can make mix up and measurement of the garlic and salt and how many times in a day please thanks l will appreciate it, never heard of that before

I really, really love to watch Barbaa. She reminds me of my grandmother 😍. She knew almost all this old natural medicine. I come from Poland, and I'm 42, so my grandmother didn't know about ginger and cayen peppers, but any other hearbs, garlic, potatoes, onion, or natural extract healing I still ask my mother what to do in some cases. From 3 days or more even I started using ricinus oil for my belly/ constipation, and I'm waiting 😂I'm sure it will work. As an idea for a zero waste, plastic-free, version of the mess-free poultice, one could use a (real) wax cloth instead of the glad wrap. To make reusable wax cloth, use any kind of cotton or viscose weave (canvas, bed linen, tea towel, or something as light as a handkerchief), lay the fabric out on a piece of parchment paper, melt some wax or easier grate solid wax to sprinkle on top, cover with another parchment layer and iron the wax in until all of it has evenly soaked into the fabric. (The wax can be for crafting, food or cosmetic purposes, from a candle, ideally pure beeswax, but stearin or paraffin are also fine and clean options - just notice that gravelights are not, as they contain a dirty composition of reclaimed food fats including animal grease that will spoil at some point if it hasn't already.) These Wraps can be used to cover food, Just like cheesewrap or freezer paper. To Reuse the sheet, wash it hand warm with dish detergent, rinse, dry and iron again between parchment paper both to disinfect the material and to renew the waterproofing. The wraps can last almost forever and finally be downcycled aß excellent firestarters.

That was a great lecture. I read about many of the remedies , as I have done some studies in Medical Missionary. However, I enjoyed watching it again after my intensive studies several years ago. Charcoal has been my form of medicine for years, as I have been poisoned on a few occasions. Now, I do not eat from anyone , no church, no friends. I do not eat at restaurants.
The Book Back To Eden is also a good book to have. It should continue to be in great circulation. This is the Blue Print God has given to His people for healthy living.

When my sister and I were eight 910, we developed for some reason boils 1 to 2 at a time. My mother would take a raw potato graded, put it all in 4 x 4, gods pad and tape it directly over the boil. It would bring it to ahead within two days, she would change it of course like once a day I did that with my kids and they had this series and Boyles works great. Thank you for all this home remedy advice. I follow you now every day.

When I was about 14 I stepped on a rusty nail and limped home with a wet foot. My mother heated some milk and rolled & compressed a piece of bread and wrapped it to my throbbing foot. I woke up the next morning and took it off and wondered what the fuss was about, lol. I should have asked but I was not that type to so here I am 40 years laters and finally know the science of what Mother did to take care of me. Thank you Barbara for all this valuable information. When I was a child my mother used to pour salt into a sock down towards the toe area and enough to make a small ball to cover the ear. It was so comforting..
Charcoal is the best thing for boils - I put a little bit on a band-aid then stick on where the boil/pimple is, leave overnight then the next day the charcoal drains everything out, no scars, no red marks, works every time.
Does it need to be activated charcoal? Or just the ordinary ?
I drink activated charcoal with lots of water whenever i am detoxing, I also use it for inflammation in my stomach.It's definitely handy to keep on hand for numerous ailments. I soak vege's & fruit if i can't get organic food.

Vitamin stores and grocery stores and pharmacies sell it. Its easy to find. Good luck. My dog ate a bowl of grapes (can be deadly). Gave him several charcoal pills, he was perfectly fine.

I agree natural remedies work better than drugs in many cases, but there is a difference between "natural remedies" and lies targeted at vulnerable groups

I also wanted to say that my greek grandma would always crash an onion and place it on my, ever so often, sprained ankles. Just over night the swelling would be gone. Also for my infected tonsills she would wet a piece of cotton with a bit of clear alcohol, add some black pepper and wrap it around my throat. Also worked miracles.
Last but not least she would use honey direct spread on the skin of the chest when I would cough a lot cover it with a towel to not stick on my clothes and put me to sleep. In the morning honey and cough would be vanished.

I was very simple really. She used pure alcohol the see-through one. Uses cotton enough to cover the frond part of the throat from tonsil to tonsil and wet it with the alcohol. No need to be dripping wet. Then she'd springle some thin plack pepper on it and place it straight on the skin. Keep it fixed with a scarf lets say and leave it over night. It feels hot but I never got skin irritation of it.
Maybe with cayenne pepper it works better but that I dont know. :)

I had a catarrh few days ago, I haven't watched this video then but I have always listen to Dr Barbara Barbara talk about natural healing, I quickly took a piece of ginger and chew it, and slept off, by morning, the cold and catarrh are gone

Did this with my bad knee and applied cayenne and olive oil to make it stringer for the knee. Then lipped on a leg warmer over the knee and the pultice. Can't wait to get castor oil!!!
Castor oil is fixing my nearsightedness and my cataracts. I use a drop in each eye every night!

Fractures should heal in 6weeks. Pain is usually due to inflammation in the tissues.
Comfrey contains a growth stimulant which can boost healing in the tissues. Castor oil may help.
