- In the great bank holiday tradition of the seaside summer special broadcast #foulkesandsons recorded an episode in the #summerbar of the @marbellaclubh during which we enjoy some #coleccionvintage #punchpunch straight from their blue and white #ceramicjar
During our metaphysical ramblings we share our first memories of the #marbellaclub ; pay tribute to the #mixology skills of #nelson with a #citrusgarden cocktail ,and take a stroll to see the #ducks
We are dressed in the style of @conde_rudi @mafrocc in a seventies #guyabera I’m in an contemporary interpretation of one from #belbarcelona.

Another fantastic episode ofMessrs. Foulkes in action, delightful. Well I am one of your subscribers who can remember when the Marbella club opened! My late Father and his partners had/were developing the golfing village of Los Algorobos, way up behind the Andalucia Plaza Hotel roughly around 1978/1980
It was at a time when although still very busy, it wasn`t overcrowded by bloody package/cheap as chips tourists like today!
The Marbella Club was a sanctury away from all the would be package holiday types.
Clients both had standards of politeness, dress code, a love of good food and wines and of course would always have a selection of fine cigars. At that time I was roughly late 20's and was smoking my French cigarettes but I did like the odd cigar but not often. What was lovely though was taking in the lovely aromas of my Fathers Cigar usually a Churchill or a Punch, I can`t really remember, had he lived he would have loved your episodes on here, but he never knew how to work his computer, it was just an extra piece of furniture on his desk!
Anyway I haven`t been back there for a very long time probably about 35 years or so, so thankyou for re-alighting such wonderful memories, I even met my first girlfriend at the MC! Thankyou again for a wonderful episode.
