What I love about Bowen is that he never looks like he’s reading off his cue cards. He worked hard to get here and he ain’t takin’ any of this for granted! And it paid off. Supporting him 150%.
How many times do we have to have the discussion that reading off the cue cards is normal because the script changes a lot.

I mean, I wouldn't say tall girls get bullied in school but I do think they're considered kind of out of the norm and maybe get less positive attention from boys unless they're also very attractive. On the hierarchy of biological traits that put you at a disadvantage, being a tall, thin white girl ranks pretty low. Just the average height and shorter and attractive white women have it better socially in school (just not for modeling, sports, and even for careers, taller men and women are more likely to be hired and promoted).

He's not new he's been showing up in sketches for the last year or more.
David Harbour's arms look like the safest place on Earth.
Bowen Yang is breathing new life into SNL. He is an example of what a performer should be: generous and giving and not wondering/asking the audience for approval, if they are worth it. He exudes self-confidence and has taken his place. I think that is what bothered me with Jones, Villasenor, etc...they were so wobbly.

"Wobbly" is a good way to put it. I think they're quite limited and know it. Kate McKinnon is an attractive white person, so she has some inherent privilege, yet she often steals sketches because she commits fully to playing every kind of character, even ugly/gross ones and plays against type. I look forward to the range of characters he'll hopefully portray with a similar fearlessness.

About time Bowen Yang got to prove himself in a live sketch-was beginning to think he was gonna be pushed to the background.
They always ease new cast members in. Same happened with Heidi and Chris, but both did well and started getting more roles in sketches each show. There's also the matter of pissing off other cast members if they're not being written into many sketches while new cast members are.
I feel like I’ve seen a pretty average amount of him so far. Don’t remember how many sketches he’s been in so far, but I know I’ve seen him a bit because he always stands out to me. He’s great.

Bowen Hang and Ego Nwodim are becoming my favorite. I hope they stick around. The last few shows have been pretty good: I particularly liked the Chien Bow with Bowen and Mid-Day News with Ego. Fresh and funny!

His stand up isn't really remarkable, not bad but I think he stands out more as a sketch actor (SNL) compared to his stand up. His acting is both good and funny.

When old dude said that acting was too hard so he decided to do the soul cycling. And a lumberjack cut his leg off. When he said my leg grew back that was my favorite part. That was so funny. He’s so crazy. I could actually see his leg going back as he was saying it like that.😂😂❤
