    It’s about TIME someone came out to discuss the SU! financial rewards and help with learning how to run a successful business!! Thank you for your honestly, and great tips! My hats off to you to help demos across the country! It’s really NICE to know that you care even if we are not in your down line. AGAIN, THANK YOU!

    Wow, Wow! In my 14 years as a demo, I’m FINALLY getting some REAL training and explanations. SU should be providing this type of detailed info. Thank you for taking the time to be everyone’s Upline... because many of us out here do not have one!!

    Wendy, I rarely make comments on these things but I have to in this case. I think you are absolutely necessary and congratulation to you for doing this. This is exactly the kind of information that anyone who is getting into crafting as a personal hobby or as an on-line business need. I have a fairly good business mind and I am very well organized but I am not confident about getting into these types of on-line businesses because there is so much that is basically unknown. Most important, you are making it very clear, this is work. You have to be responsible for your actions and you have to be willing to do the work to make the profit. Yes it is all true for any business but many of these on-line systems seem to give the impression it is a get rich quick thing and don't emphasize that it also takes a lot of work and good organization. Looking forward to see more. Oh, by the way, I am a 72 year old retired man!

      Hi John,
      I appreciate you taking the time to comment. It has become incredibly clear to me that so many people really have no idea how much work goes in to running an online business. It's been an adventure sharing all these things. I have mostly wonderful comments on my videos and I am SO happy that they are helping people. That was my goal. To help people understand the ins and outs and if they want to pursue a business to give them a direction to head in.
      Unusual for me to have a fella comment on my videos :) Thanks so much!
      Wendy

    Well I’m not a SU demonstrator and I watched this as info to see what it was really like financially. I realized that this is really great info and your book would be great for any small home based business, especially if you’re just starting out. Thank you for being willing to put it all out there...seeing your numbers in both your videos truly helped with understanding it all. I’m going to share this out with a few friends I think would benefit from it. Thank you for sharing EVERYTHING!!!

    Thank you for sharing all this info with us, it is really helping not to get overwhelmed by starting as an demonstrator. I think it helps a lot to hear how long it took you to make a profit, to not get easily discouraged and stay motivated.

    This is very informative, but at the same time overwhelming. If I were a new demonstrator and wanted to sell and grow a business, this information is very much needed. Thank you for explaining how everything works. And I agree, this should be under Stampin’Up university umbrella as a staple.❤️👍🏼

    Thank you for doing these videos. I love my upline; she is creative and generous, but she doesn't really keep track of expenses or budget. I'm starting out and want to at least break even. I use Dave Ramsey and envelopes for personal expenses and tried to approach SU the same way. What you have provided is how I think, and it will help me keep from overspending. I'm anxious to see all your suggestions for new demonstrators who don't yet have a sales base to cover all the expenses you list. I'm grateful for your openness and willingness to spend time on new demonstrators.

      @@WendyCranford I want to use SU products and can buy them from a friend who has been very successful developing her business. I'm also interested in products from other companies and more interested in the craft rather than the business. Several frustrations in a row--products running out, impossibility of getting into OnStage Local, for example--made me think that I'd prefer life as a customer. As you mentioned in the video, I'm so thankful for the intangibles that SU has led me to--including finding some delightful youtubers to follow!

    Hi Wendy, I came across your channel while researching Stampin Up as a business online. I love these financial videos, thank you so much. I know you have a disclaimer about not being a finance/ tax pro but hopefully my question is more on the generic side. If I were interested in joining as a demonstrator to get a discount on products to stock up for six months or a year before I really dig into selling to others, do I have to include any/ all purchases on my taxes? I’m assuming yes and that’s what holds me back from joining. You mentioned paying quarterly and having an accountant so I’m guessing your business is completely separate from your individual taxes. I know my best bet is to consult an accountant. I’d probably have to get an EIN and pay an accountant to keep all of that separate. I did read over the Independent Contractor Agreement and you’re on your own as far as these financial questions are concerned. Anyway, I appreciate you sharing all you did about the financial aspects. I haven’t seen anyone else come remotely close to what you’ve shared and it’s immensely helpful. Thanks and have a great day!

    • @WendyCranford
      @WendyCranford  5 років тому +2

      Hi Melinda, First and foremost just join! LOL.. If you like the products you get a discount even if you never do anything more. But if you do want to run a business it's a great one to do. You do not have to submit taxes unless you earn more than $600 a year. In which case SU will send you a 1099. Also, if you are doing something that collects money you would need to claim that if you are making an income. But if you are just getting the discount you do not need to file taxes. I hope that helps you! And if you don't already have a demonstrator picked out I would love for you to join our team: luvinstampin.com/join-my-team

    Hi there! Me again! You’re probably going to hear from me a fair amount. Like I said I’m new (January) but what I didn’t say is that my upline does not do any training or anything ☹️, so I’m on my own!
    Ok, for the question, lol. I have been using Vertical Response for my emails (like to send out my monthly newsletter) and they go into everyone’s junk folder! Even those that have already read one before. Does yours do that? I’m so bummed because I already paid for 1 year. Blarg.

    • @WendyCranford
      @WendyCranford  4 роки тому +2

      The junk mail thing happens quite a bit. You have to tell people to white list you on their email. This means their email service recognizes your email and allows it into the inbox. IT's a problem we all have.

    Why pay for SAB when you can get them free and you aren’t charged tax and shipping? That’s a loss of money. And at $250 you would have received an additional $25 in rewards if you ordered in January. And your purchases from January thru March go towards your SAB rewards for all SAB sales January thru March.

    • @WendyCranford
      @WendyCranford  5 років тому +3

      Hi Beth, Thanks for your question. I think you have a great point. Great way to save money is to not purchase something you can later get free. However, if you're a business demo and you're selling, especially online, it's extremely helpful to have products in advance so that you can create samples, videos, etc before the release of the product. Often times by the time everyone has the product you are missing the boat on getting the info/ideas to people in advance as a lot of people have already shown the product. It's definitely food for thought. :) Hugs Wendy
