When she performed the same song at that live Hawaii concert, her voice was noticeably strained, shakier and off pitch because she was forcing the baby voice. It's sad that she basically destroyed her voice to fit the image her record label wanted for her.

I love her voice. It's so soft and sweet. She might not have a big voice but what shes got she uses well. There's lots of different kinds of singers and sometimes hearing people scream and belt a song gets a little annoying. It's nice to hear just a smooth straight forward voice like Britney's without all the over singing. It's not necessary sometimes.

I honestly can't understand how with all the money she has, she won't afford a good vocal coach. It's very clear she has the VOICE somewhere in her, she just needs someone to teach her how to use it in a proper way. Then she'd have no fear performing life. She wouldn't be so scared of it. But it's obvious she has natural talent.
She could use one but she honestly doesn't need one. It's the Way she sings now that's different. Her natural register is a deep low register which we can see on MMC and Star Search but once she signed on to Jive, she's been using the baby breathy voice which is not her natural register an which is why she has a hard time singing live. She may need a coach to bring back the deep register but who knows if she still has it. I'd like to know who came up with the idea to have her sing that way.
