They may be .001” different but the ninja is showing what the actual kwikset manufacturer recommends. Be interesting to measure the cuts with calipers from each machine to see if the difference is + or -. From watching your videos I’ll say I like them both but I don’t do enough to justify those expenses. Used to be with buying a machine the justification was that it could be paid off in 2 yrs. Portable is another factor. I find myself looking more for mechanical cutters that don’t require power but sidewinders aren’t gonna have that option. Btw, I work with real lasers in a factory, and idk why they call that method of key cutting laser cutting🤷🏼♂️. Wonderful video, thanks for sharing!
The thing is the ITL book Specifically states 1000 bigger can you believe it than the ninja and if you, measure with calipers, you can adjust the ITL to be exactly what there book says I don’t know I trust ITL they went into great research seeing what measurements work best with different cylinders, manufacturers so I’m thinking they figured their measurements were better than the factories that’s just what I’m guessing but their book is definitely 1000 bigger Wow can you believe it and the measurement is 1000 is bigger. If you set your ITL machine with the right parameters to match their book the ITL book and mine is set exact so they were 1000S. Off From each other and that little smart cylinder didn’t catch it that’s so funny.
Yeah, why do they call that laser I guess because a laser while cutting drags the line and you know these are key guys were talking about not much thinking goes into the nomenclature
@@doorandlocktips I’ve heard it was because laser was the name of one of the popular first versions of the CNC style cutters. Sidewinder is another name I’ve heard as well. My little pos xcan is called a high security key machine (even though it’s not) but I usually refer to it as a side milling machine. It was a waste of money but was only $125 so not that much of a loss😂.
@@odinslockllc that’s funny I wasted a lot more trying to do things the big boys do and never use the stuff most of it’s a waste of money don’t you think

@@doorandlocktips not really a waste, more like having the tools for “future opportunities”…
