We didn't have the polarizing attitudes at that time. We now have one group saying complying with mandates and taking vaccines are why they won't end, and another group is saying defying the mandates and not taking the vaccines are why new variants are appearing and we have to lock it down across the globe. I don't care which one is right, but it's inevitable that one side will either convert or die, and it's a toss-up on which group will be doing that by the end of this.

My dad was an alcoholic abuser. He wanted a boy and he let me know this on a pretty regular basis. Im now 66 years old and have medical issues as a result of him not wanting to spend his poker money on me. He never once told me he loved me. I had a crappy, miserable childhood. I went without the most basic of necessities. I wore hand me downs and I was an only child. He got clothes from his friends that were pretty much rags by the time I got them. I had to fend for myself starting at 7 years old, as thats when my parents began leaving me home alone. I am now 66 years old, so this was a time when there really wasn't much reaction from childrens services. My dad died several years ago. His obituary never mentioned that he had a daughter. I was finally able to forgive him, but not for him. It was for me, and it was so I could begin to heal. I am thankful for your comedy. Laughter has always been my saving grace. It helps me deal with the chronic pain I have dealt with for over 23 years. Thank you, Christopher Titus, thank you for making me laugh.
This was my first introduction to Christopher Titus. I remember recording it off of Comedy Central, and I kept it on my DVR as long as humanly possible because I wanted to watch it over and over and over again. And now, all these years later, I can recite huge chunks of nearly every special from memory, I quote Titus in job interviews and podcasts, and people wonder what flipped the switch in old Rebecca Thistle. One day he took us to the park and grabbed a hand and dangled each one of us over a 300 foot ledge. Scared me shit less. Crying screaming. That's ABUSE. I've been having trouble sleeping due to anxiety, I'm looking for a 2nd job in these Covid times, but I just had a good night's rest. I started watching this show and fell asleep laughing. Every time I woke up worried about bills, I would restart the show at the point I had fallen asleep previously. It's 6:30 am, and I had 8 hours of sleep. Thanks Titus!

I'm not saying whether I agree or.not, because that's not my point --- I'm saying that I deeply respect & appreciate the passionate conviction that he puts forth here... ...the fact that he's also hilarious is just icing on the cake. In ancient Greece, there was a wise man who proudly declared himself to be a "gadfly". Whether we agree or disagree with him, as a nation, we are in desperate need of many more gadflies like Mr. Titus, to goad us into thinking more about where we are going.
I am 60 years old today, and I think he is one of the greatest comedians ever. A lot of people can make you laugh, but the best comedy is when someone tells the truth in a way that you hadn't thought of yourself. They make you actually think, instead of just going about your day accepting things that are, just because they've always been that way. Do I agree with everything he says, no, but that is what makes us individuals. Just because someone says something that I disagree with, doesn't mean that suddenly I don't give what he/she said any consideration. Today, more than any time in my life, people think that just because someone has a view on a topic that I don't agree with that now I must hate them and do anything to ruin their life. Part of truly being an adult is tolerating other peoples views. True tolerance is when you may disagree with someone, but you still treat them with respect. No one is all bad or all good. We all have good AND bad inside of us. It seems to be human nature to want ourselves to be given the benefit of the doubt when we do something questionable, but with others we look at what they do or say in the worst possible way. They always have sinister motives and we are above any suspicion. With ALL of us, the truth is somewhere in between. Love Christopher Titus!!

I thought Burr's material was brutal until I heard of Titus. Can't get enough of these two. Except for podcasts; I'm still too lazy to listen to those. Almost completely stopped watching movies - my attention span has gone DOWN :-/

Hey Titus why is it that I meet guys with the attention span of a fly?? They cannot stay on topic for a simple 2 minutes. They are unwilling to speak about anything about themselves but are all into my personal business. One dude told me his nickname, never told me where he lived nor what his occupation was, nor his exact age, and was shady about his relationships, yet he knew everything about me. I've meet so many men like this, but you are so brilliant and so outspoken. Are you a genius? Are you unique? You have so much talent. I long to have intelligent communication with someone like you. Where are these good men?
He's so right about the younger generation. I have worked at the same company for about a decade. I've seen more than 100 Millennial/Gen Z workers come and go. About 5% are good, hard workers. 15% are just OK, nothing to write home about. 40% might be good or ok if they could put their phones down long enough to do any work. The last 40% seem to think they should get a paycheck just for showing up and not doing anything whatsoever. Of course they'd think that. They've spent their lives up until now getting trophies just for showing up. Why would work be any different?
I've always said that "Anyone who wants to be a politician, should never be allowed to be one " ( ulterior motives) . That's exactly why you should be President. You don't give a damn about the parties, just the people AND , you understand what's going on in the world. What more could someone ask of a President. I know you don't want to be one, but as I assume your dad would say..."Suck it up and DO IT". That just might be my hope.

One day he took us to the park and grabbed a hand and dangled each one of us over a 300 foot ledge. Scared me shit less. Crying screaming. That's ABUSE. You're lucky... cuz I'm sure you don't have a nightmare once in a while...but 55yrs later I still get nightmares of falling into a black abyss. I've been having trouble sleeping due to anxiety, I'm looking for a 2nd job in these Covid times, but I just had a good night's rest. I started watching this show and fell asleep laughing. Every time I woke up worried about bills, I would restart the show at the point I had fallen asleep previously. It's 6:30 am, and I had 8 hours of sleep. Thanks Titus!

I am 60 years old today, and I think he is one of the greatest comedians ever. A lot of people can make you laugh, but the best comedy is when someone tells the truth in a way that you hadn't thought of yourself. They make you actually think, instead of just going about your day accepting things that are, just because they've always been that way. Do I agree with everything he says, no, but that is what makes us individuals. Just because someone says something that I disagree with, doesn't mean that suddenly I don't give what he/she said any consideration. Today, more than any time in my life, people think that just because someone has a view on a topic that I don't agree with that now I must hate them and do anything to ruin their life. Part of truly being an adult is tolerating other peoples views. True tolerance is when you may disagree with someone, but you still treat them with respect. No one is all bad or all good. We all have good AND bad inside of us. It seems to be human nature to want ourselves to be given the benefit of the doubt when we do something questionable, but with others we look at what they do or say in the worst possible way. They always have sinister motives and we are above any suspicion. With ALL of us, the truth is somewhere in between. Love Christopher Titus!!

I was fortunate enough to see you in a tiny club in DC seated against the front of the stage within feet of you.. and then got to talk with you for like ten minutes after the show. It was amazing getting to meet you. I hope I get to see you live again soon!

Hey Titus why is it that I meet guys with the attention span of a fly?? They cannot stay on topic for a simple 2 minutes. They are unwilling to speak about anything about themselves but are all into my personal business. One dude told me his nickname, never told me where he lived nor what his occupation was, nor his exact age, and was shady about his relationships, yet he knew everything about me. I've meet so many men like this, but you are so brilliant and so outspoken. Are you a genius? Are you unique? You have so much talent. I long to have intelligent communication with someone like you. Where are these good men?
He's so right about the younger generation. I have worked at the same company for about a decade. I've seen more than 100 Millennial/Gen Z workers come and go. About 5% are good, hard workers. 15% are just OK, nothing to write home about. 40% might be good or ok if they could put their phones down long enough to do any work. The last 40% seem to think they should get a paycheck just for showing up and not doing anything whatsoever. Of course they'd think that. They've spent their lives up until now getting trophies just for showing up. Why would work be any different?
I've always said that "Anyone who wants to be a politician, should never be allowed to be one " ( ulterior motives) . That's exactly why you should be President. You don't give a damn about the parties, just the people AND , you understand what's going on in the world. What more could someone ask of a President. I know you don't want to be one, but as I assume your dad would say..."Suck it up and DO IT". That just might be my hope.

Update.... I'm a psychotherapist who left the profession as I knew it.... I've never been more impressed. thank you. My humblest thank you. My new goal is to be a catalyst for people living therapeutic lives and not a life in therapy. Thank you for sharing your story without the crutches.
