diy art video for beginners- Seahorse artwork- batik painting

A quick diy art video for beginner artists- this was a fun seahorse artwork made using batik painting techniques. The seahorse was painted using soy wax and then dyed using fiber reactive dyes. You can do this on any natural fabric and even on cotton clothing.

This piece used soy wax and fiber reactive dye. You can get soy wax and a tie dye kit from craft stores for similar but simpler results.

How do you remove wax ?

Soy Wax can be rinsed in very hot tap water believe it or not- otherwise I prefer to boil it off.
