Last year I hiked the Appalachian Trail, a distance of almost 2000m in five months and three days. Hiking that distance and over some very steep ascents and descents, hikers are always looking for ways to cut their weight. As you can imagine, ounces count, so many hikers have this knife. It is an all in one - small knife blade, tweezers, file, scissors but most importantly, a nail clipper. Mine shows a lot of wear and is the traditional red. I'm going to start looking for a white model. Thanks for the review.
This was the SAK I went with! I usually carry a dedicated folder, and have a Skeletool nearby. What I wanted was something that could fill in a use not already covered, and I often feel I notice my nails needing clipped where I can't do anything about it, then forget once I can at home. I was already looking into standalone thin nail clipper designs, and loved having something to get the scissors, file, and other tools all in one. I do wish it came without the knife though it would be an excellent little tool for traveling but the blade keeps it non-tsa safe. If I'm not traveling I'll have a knife, so wouldn't need it here. 🤷♂️
Looking at the white scales reminded me, I’m looking for bright scales for a few of my SAKs. I’ve dropped a few and lost them in the grass when I’ve been out camping. So which bright colour is best. White, yellow, silver transparent? I’ve seen the bright yellow StayGlow glow in the dark, but not in the UK. Ideas and opinions please! Bless y’all!👍🏼
@@gabecollins5585 I was told I couldn't bring my Gerber multitool that I always have on me to the UK because it had a knife in it and I wasn't aloud to carry a knife while there. I googled it and google says it is illegal unless you have a " good reason".

That's awesome
you do know that 2000m is only 2km, right?
@@birds-eyeview1314Thank you, it was suppose to reflect 2000 miles. My abbreviation was terrible.
Weight reduction by cutting nails? Awesome... Hehehe, just kidding.
Thought the hell!? I could cary 200 fullsize machetas 2000 meters. Then i saw he corrected to miles lol. @@birds-eyeview1314

Thanks for sharing brother 🔥🙏🏻
Fantastic little tool…
Like you mentioned, ideal for a wash-bag…
Sad to see so many models being discontinued!!!
Fantastic review, cheers Slippy 👊🏻
Couldn't agree more!
Ambassador is (was) the best i have in compact when traveling. Wish is come back in line.
Great video. An unusual model that you don’t see often.
Many thanks!
What a cool tool to have when traveling, I loved it.
@@Leonardo-cz6rf I like the idea of it for travelling as well but since I almost exclusively fly with carry on luggage it's basically useless :(
100% is
I’ve had one for a few years. I hope they survive the knife cuts from Victorinox. Those clippers are better than most others out there.
They are great
My favourite one ! I have this and the minichamp alox on the keys everyday !
Awesome
There is just something about white cellidor that I really like! That is super interesting about the sharpening choil on the nail file.
I totally agree!
I have a Wenger Nail Clip with the contoured evo scales and it is probably the most used SAK i have ever owned.
Awesome
That's a really neat SAK, one I've not seen before...🤔Thanks for sharing, take care my friend and Cheers!
Thanks, you too!
An interesting little thing for your collection. And as you say, ideal to put in a wash bag.
It really is!
Looks like these are still available in red over here in the US. Another discontinued model that could disappear soon. Thanks, Slippy.
Thanks for watching John 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video, my favorite Victorinox knife is the Alox Farmer 👍
Awesome
A pretty handy one. I've been wondering how these were. Thanks for the video! Hope you are doing as well as possible brother.
Thanks, you too!

Check out Etsy for aftermarket scales, they offer 3d printed and glow in the dark 🙏🏻
@@SlipjointSawyer many thanks!
Hi. Does this use the smaller size tweezers and toothpick like the ones in Classic SD? Or the big ones in the 91mm?
Larger
Very cool piece, buddy!👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi, thanks for this. Would the scissors cut hair well? I mean facial hair not giving myself a haircut lol.
Yeah, they work okay
Are the scissors and good for trimming your nails? - I think that would be the intended use - Nice1 slippy ✌️
It works okay, prefer the clips
Blade longer on this then sd model? Thx for review
Yessir
I EDC this model and a Leatherman Rebar.
Excellent 👌🏼
Thanks- is this one currently available- I couldnt find it on the site?
They're currently discontinuing the whole Delemont range 😔
Discontinuing? I guess I was lucky, I bought one about two weeks ago.
Is it possible to bring that in airports on my handcarry?
No, it's got a blade
That basically defeats it's purpose:(
Any good for thick old man toe nails?
😅😅😅
@@SlipjointSawyer wait til your sixty and you will understand 😯
Wait I thought I couldn't have a pocket knife in the UK? Have I been misinformed?
What 💀

You're allowed a knife less that 3" blade and non locking
Oohh that’s a lil cutey ❤
Thanks Will
