As somebody who has a weak vibrato, if any at all, it's so reassuring to hear Jon say you can sound good without it. I think I focus too much attention on creating vibrato, so I'll try to remember this.

I wasn’t sure what to think of Angela but this song sold it for me. Her raspy, almost gruff voice paired with the breaks that sound like she’s about to cry really sell Lex’s character. A high school dropout with a criminal record, raised as “trailer trash”, trying to take her boyfriend and disabled sister who she practically raised and get out of hell, only for it to be ripped away from her because the world has gone crazy over a toy.
Im thinking people in chat dont realise that improvisation doesnt just mean stuff you came up with on the spot, but stuff actors came up with that werent in the script whilst in rehearsal
“Her protector” typically makes me laugh but this time it SENT ME into fully cracking up for minutes. I needed that, so thank you for the excellent line delivery 😂😂

Thank you for this peek behind the scenes! This is my favorite Starkid musical. The ensemble cast, the darker character driven story, the wonderful harmonies, the lighting, the acting, the killer choreo, it’s all a cut above anything I’ve seen before. This show more than anything motivated me to be a backer for NPMD - got my pledge in the first hour. Can’t wait!
