This is a concept album. There are not many cute elements, but the result is very satisfying to listen to. The lyrics of this song were written by SU-METAL. She has done a very professional job here.

Great reaction. Any live pro-shot videos for songs from this album will be from Makuhari Messe (BABYMETAL Returns) in January or PIA MM in Yokohama in April (BABYMETAL Begins) - those were the shows shown on Wowow or that have been released on DVD/BluRay.
The channel that made the compilation usually lists all the shows used in the description, as you thought.
Momoko still wasn't a member when this album was recorded, but from the second night (Clear Night) at PIA she has been mic'd up and singing.
Su-metal has writing credits for the lyrics in this song for the first time. She heard the demo and liked it so much, it reminded her of 'Road of Resistance', that she said she wanted to write the lyrics ... which is what happened.
This was the first single released, so it made sense you would watch this first. I would suggest that as this is a concept album (10 alternative versions of BABYMETAL from 10 alternative planets or realities) from here on you should watch the rest of the songs in the same order as they appear on the album rather than the order in which the singles were released.

It is a concept album, they haven't changed their style or their direction (some of these songs are 5 years old), but they may have just done something different for this album. Kobametal has even said he is not counting this as their 4th album but as something that sits somewhere between BABYMETAL as it was and the new BABYMETAL as it was revealed at the end of BABYMETAL Begins, Black Night on 1st April.

BABYMETAL BEGINS - CLEAR NIGHT
7:37 the choreography is tied to the lyrics, so if she sings the lyrics in her head, she knows which moves to make.
This album is the most 'samey' album, not in a bad way. As a concept album is more coherent, but still less coherent than most other artists. The tone is a bit less kawaii and more serious too.
It's also meant as a sort of side-project, to clear the table of any old songs which still needed to be used on an album. Giving the 'new Babymetal' with Momometal a fresh start.
So this album is NOT a Momometal album, this was released just before Momoko became Momometal. They actually did it pretty much on the same day.
The Queen is now going above and beyond lol I can't wait for more songs written by her.

Kind of wish they would perform this on their current tour. I seems like a good song to amp up the crowd. Not that they need to as they already amp up the crowd with many other songs but this wouldn't hurt to keep it going. 🤘🦊🤘
Yeah, me too. I would have most liked to have heard IDZ and Divine Attack. But like you allude to, it’s a great show so no complaints. Now that Momo is officially a member I’d like to see new Black Babymetal songs to allow them all a rest and perform a few more songs. But even if it doesn’t happen, my favorite concert ever.

I love this song from the very first time I listened to it. And that's very rare on me. Well structured, elegant, cool drum & bass parts, nice symphonic touch, some heavy riffing and, of course Su's amazing vocals. To me, this is the perfect comeback.
Notice that Su-metal is credited among the song writers of the lyrics for the first time. That's a really big achievement and (in her own words) a dream to her. So, I'm extremely happy for her and so proud.

The “pose”. Gets me every time. Su is a complete badass. Great song. Great reaction. Saw them do this live earlier this year. A pure adrenaline rush. Amazing group.
I think songs from this album would be intersting for as EDM producer, but mainly a studio version. So there is a dillema :D

@@Marty-Metal The energy must be even more unreal being there, yeah I can see we would need to see them forever lol, did you get to interact with them? In all clips I see people get very close to the girls and they do a lot of fun stuff, really sweet.
Nice reaction. During this leg of their Babylok tour. It's been really hard to catch a Su-metal death stare. Su looks like she is having the time of her life on tour. Momoko looks overjoyed. and Moa looks hungry. lol. I only wish the kamiband guys would wear the makeup from time to time. so, we can see their facial expressions as well. The Other One has some great songs on it. This songs lyrics made me feel a few things. One that they felt a certain way about the covid lockdowns. And the second that Road of Resistance felt like they were inviting us to go along with them. This song feels like they want us to take our own Road of Resistance and they will be supporting us this time. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
That's a beautiful perspective of the lyrics, glad SU is following her songwriter goal and while in BABYMETAL 🦊🤘🏼

This video contains a compilation of footage from Babymetal Returns - The Other One, which took place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on the 28th and 29th of January this year, and Babymetal Begins - The Other One: Black Night & Clear Night which took place at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama on April 1st and 2nd. I traveled to Japan for both these concerts and they were absolutely mindblowing. Babymetal live is great, but Babymetal live in Japan is next level.
I know that some people are a little put off by the lack of cuteness on The Other One, but as someone who appreciates the metal side of their music the most, I think its an incredible album and they have been knocking it out of the park with the live performances on the world tour. I'd be fine with it if "serious Babymetal" was the direction they chose to go in going forwards, though I don't think it will.
This one is actually my favorite album TYLR (my second favorite is Metal Galaxy), for several reasons lol and interesting stuff that happens in the composition, I love how compact the songs are in this album as well. Mirror Mirror and Metalizm are very interesting composition wise so I can't wait to watch your reactions to this album.
Su is really a great song writer for the first time!
Moa keeps time to Su-metals vocals rather than using a click or counting, this is why you often see her singing along with Su. A really good example of this is in the ToTD video just before the little ragtime thing they do you can clearly see Moa singing and Yui counting

Totally agree that they are incredibly in sync. But Momo wasn't really that new anymore at this point. The compilation takes footage from concerts earlier this year and Momoko started being an Avenger in 2019. So she already has like 4 years under her belt with BABYMETAL
Momoko is not new Yes she's a new member but she's not new to Babymetal she's been touring a performing as a backup dancer with babymetal since 2019 prior to becoming an official member
She is both not new and new, she is not new in the 'dancing department' of Babymetal, but she is also so new as full member that she wasn't included on this album yet.
And then she grew up in the same hotbed of artists that was Sakura Gakuin!!!

I’m a little surprised you tripped over the compilation channel name. Maybe this will help; Kuro - Kitsune (Fox) - Sama (God, or top of the hierarchy). The site has many of the best compilations. As Grington300 pointed out, most of this was from the PIA concert, but also includes the Makuhari Messe concert. I was at the MM performance and wish I could have gone back for the PIA concert, but it’s expensive traveling halfway around the world.

It still has cool effects! And you see SU recalling it when she open her arms towards the end!
The album sure feals a lot less Kawaii, and I was scared at the beginning. But after the full album was released, I fully enjoyed it!
Since this is a concept album, I would also suggest you to go in Order, and start from "Metal Kingdom"! It's an awesome show intro!!

I see at least 2 venues Makihari Messe Tokyo (first 2 concerts held there in January) and PIA Arena Yokohama (April 1 & 2).
Suzuka actually has credit for writing the song lyrics for Divine Attack.

So many great LIVE song/performances from this album such as Monochrome LIVE, Metal Kingdom LIVE, Maya LIVE, The Legend LIVE (Metalizm is actually one of my least favorites).
This song slaps! MOA and MOMOKO are stunning doing such choreography, SU T-pose and that synth going nuts. I just love this song, I found very interesting it has that feel of Classical music style and I hope to see more of that in future albums, it would be so cool 🦊🤘🏼
I would highly, and I mean highly recommend that you listen to the song "Shout Baby" on the first take. It's an incredible performance that I feel like you would really appreciate.
If I had 5 seconds to talk to Su I’d simply say “Divine Attack” with a 👍🏼👍🏼
Great reaction TYLR, although was a little disappointed you didn't start from the beginning as you have done with the other albums. Really think you should just go in order but thats my own opinion. I'm also surprised you didn't actually mention how Su's voice actually sounds more mature in this song than in even the last album! It's such a difference in my opinion. For the song Monochrome, one other reactor actually did all 3 versions of Monochrome in a row, although might have been different days, I can't remember now, and we all dubbed him as inventing a third trilogy which we named the Monochrome Trilogy. So that is something you might be interested in also doing. Essentially its just doing the 3 different versions of Monochrome. The MV, the live, and the F1rst Take version.
Finally, even thought you will eventually finish reacting to this album there's STILL more Babymetal stuff you can and really SHOULD react to that reactors haven't reacted to in a LONG time so it will probably be a nice change for us followers, but you have, of course, the Sakura Gakuin stuff, but there's also the Nendo Tests that you should react to at some point too, I KNOW you'll have a lot of fun with those as those are "tests" that were given to the Sakura Gakuin girls which feature also, Moa, Yui, and Su, along with the Avenger girls, which will, of course, include Momoko. They're fun, they're silly, and they're funny, and they're very cute. They also give you a bit more of an idea of the girls' personality outside of Babymetal which is pretty cool considering how private they tend to be outside of Babymetal. You also have the Suzuka graduation speech with Moa being Moa, and the Sakura girls organizing a surprise graduation gift for Su, and many more things. So yeah, you still have more for your journey so don't worry about being sad that you finished because you haven't :)
Sakura Gakuin is so fun, the BM guide would be cool as well for a reaction.
I would love to see him react to SG but I doubt that he will, as most reactors also either avoid or dismiss SG altogether. First, it's not metal. Second, it's too childish for some (not me). Third, IF reactors Do react to SG, it's usually only out of curiosity and will only react to SG if it involves Su, Moa, and Yui, and will totally disregard the other members, and thus miss some of the best SG content because of a Babymetal bias. Which is unfortunate. I don't think he'll ever do SG.
@@AldoGuerraALDO-METAL Why? lol Now that you've talked about it he might actually do it, he seems very open about content, also I've seen more than 5 reactors who did quite a ton of SG stuff not only SU, MOA, YUI they have like an entire playlist like Metal Maffia for example. It's just that SG is quite big as well it can end up being confusing at some point.
@@BeccaVinesz I don't know...I can tell somewhat. By the fact that he is very selective with who he responds to or comments on, if he comments at all. Those reactors that do react to SG more, are more open minded and usually correspond to comments and get into discussions with viewers. Like Mettal Mafia.
