I've been learning a lot from you guys. What I didn't notice is before winter I changed my petrified valve cover gaskets because my plug valleys were filling up with oil. I was happy. But what I didn't know is about that VVT seal. I kept smelling oil odor all winter. I took my valve cover off today and I noticed that is where I am leaking oil. so i ordered a new valve cover gasket set that comes with those two VVT seals. Now the utterly most important thing as in more important than your 2nd child is when removing the valve cover don't man handle it and get frustrated because those wires in the back are sorta holding it down and for gods sake don't yank on it like I did. Why? Well all winter i drove with my check engine light on, engine missing, codes to the left, codes to the right. Well I did what others did and I bent one of those VVT tabs on the back of the camshaft. I don't know if i am one lucky S.O.B. or not but I bent the skinny one and today I bent it back into shape and I have no drivers side cam position sensor check engine light anymore. So happy. Just not happy I have to remove. the covers AGAIN to replace those VVT seals. But well worth it.

Holy crUD! Batman! Can imagine difficulty keeping gaskets *in place* while jockeying cover back into position. That last hidden bolt -- unbelievable! KUDOs to you guys -- but you've talked me out of the job!

Hey there, thanks for the video. Just a simple question really, I have a blown head (valve on #3) on this side. Do you think it would be possible (not easy but possible) to get the head off without dropping the engine?
