Hey friends, thanks for stopping by to check out the video. I don't think I made any errors in this one, but I'll check back and make corrections if I did. Leave comments and I'll respond when I have the time. Thanks again! -Joe Hindy
I was caught up by the caption "everything" anticipating you will also discuss the "error" Google says on this update. If you may, kindly also help to share those "error " thanks ♥️
@@JaimeJrSilao-gr8on I didn't have any errors, and I used the beta on a Pixel 6 for 4 days. But, I did say it was a beta and that there were bugs. Seems like a bunch of people are getting different ones. Can't show or explain a phenomenon I didn't experience, bud. Sorry.
If there's one true feature I want is for apps notifications and calls and SMS sounds to be a seperate toggle. For the volume button maybe making it a system wide toggle but the apps noti can be turned on and off in the settings. I just want to receive calls without letting 300 notifications from apps nag me about a "sale".
Animation while scrolling recent apps is so flat and card is too big that we can't see nearby app icons. Either make it Samsung like recent app or OnePlus recent app view except removing"select" and then add "clearall" option.
I have a question, I remember reading and seeing vids about that the screen doesn't dim properly when it gets darker outside, have they tackled that issue properly with android 13?
My s22 ultra went in for repair as well. May I ask what your issue with the device was? My device kept increasing my tethering data on t mobile even though everything was toggled off and I never use this feature. Switched phones to pixel 6 pro and it didn't effect tethering data usage, so issue was with s22. Samsung claims they found nothing wrong with the device and shipped it back. Now I have to check into it again.
I show it in the video, but my front facing camera like detached itself from the screen causing dead pixels. I get mine back tomorrow. New FFC and new screen.
@@paragpatel3441 I hope so too. I just got mine back today and it's as good as new. Thank goodness. I definitely don't think the Pixel 6 is a bad phone, but having to run a dev preview as a daily driver (and then the beta after it came out) was...fine, but not optimal lol.
Maby not. The galaxy s10 lite will 100% get Android 13 and maby Samsung is generous an will give the update to the normal s10. (Almost same model, same chip)
Haven’t been here in a minute but just want to say thanks for the Samsung back in 2016. Was supposed to get the note 7 but we know what happened with that lol
I'm hoping that we can get some improved battery life. It's shameful how much longer an iPhone lasts than a Galaxy S22, despite having half the battery size.
Android 13 won't change battery life most likely Fuchsia OS might change battery in a couple years Sad how apple gets 30% better battery life in a 15% smaller cell though 💀
@@UnknownuserhtpsWell 13 is supposed to have that whole TARE credit system, so I'm hoping that will help. Fuschia ain't coming to phones. They've already released it for other form factors without a peep.
All banking apps I've used and even Snapchat have this "hide" in recent apps screen for quite a while, not sure what this A13 change is actually for. For example snap and revolut make the screen completely white while browsing recent apps. It used to be really easy to screenshot snap chats from there without people knowing. You could even expand it to whole screen by dragging down and take a screenshot (without lifting your finger; so snap still used to think its in background)
It is most likely an OEM feature (specific to your phone brand), as I just tried this on my Pixel 6 literally after I read your post and it does not hide anything. I actually closed Snapchat when I was shooting b roll yo avoid showing it on video. But, OEM features are where most new Android features come from, so it doesn't shock me that some phones do it.
@@TheJoeHindy well I'm on oneplus 7t pro, android 11 beta (too lazy to wipe to go to back to stable) and I guess that's interesting find to be oem specific (or maybe it's launcher specific? I'm using the default one), because for revolut it was happening ever since I use it, back when I was on A10. However, snap didn't do it at first when I upgraded to A11, but after a certain app update.
@@TheJoeHindy also forgot to clarify the hide happens only if you're in a chat with someone or looking the snap they've sent. It doesn't happen if you're on all chats screen or in the camera. At least that's how it is for me right now.
@@tiltedbybox6118 it's likely the specific launcher. But this is how Android evolution works. OEMs come up with good ideas, Google puts it in Android, and that frees up the OEM to come up with different ideas.
Why they always gotta tinker with stuff that doesn't matter, but if they change it it makes it so you have to relearn stuff. Fix stuff in the background and leave the fluff alone.
I guess brightness is a bit of a stretch. But for that I suppose I'm missing the single Swipe access from iOS to both brightness, volume, and other quick settings; without having to click a button or swipe several times
There are many methods to move your brightness to the bottom of the notification pull-down, as well as browsers with address bars on the bottom (for example, Firefox defaults to the bottom).
Just curious, what phone is everyone using? I've been a regular user of the Nexus and Pixel lineup but went with Samsung S20 FE because my Pixel 4XL broke. I kind of regret it because I can't even change the keyboard and it seems more buggy.

Ah yes, the update everyone has been asking for... The media bar sperm.
Welp, can't unsee that one. Bravo, lol
I thought I was the only one who noticed that loll
Well done good sir ...👏👏
Sperm bar
To be honest, I have been waiting for it since I/O last year. 🤷🏻♂️
I'd love to see a battery life test. Run it a few times on 12, update the phone, then run it a few times on 13.
Maybe in this version they will finally let us set the notification and ring volume separately....
It does not. I checked for ya.
@@TheJoeHindy thanks for checking. A shame, I have to choose between missing calls and having my phone ding every 30 seconds. Great
Dumbest thing ever. My old Galaxy had a separate bar for each sound and you could adjust as you like.
Doubt it
I haven't slept and its already 5:05AM i need to get up at 6🥺
Loving the visual tweaks. The progress bar looks dainty.
Im so glad that you posted this buddy! @@@ worked as promised!
holy sh!t its Joe Hindy!!! Bruh I grew up watching your apps and games video. What a legend
Heres one thing google needs to work on which is app stability with banks
I think android went a little overboard with the android 12 notification shade, especially the brightness slider
As an iOS user this looks pretty good!
I'm guessing that as an iOS user everything looks good 😅
@@77Relax not really, android still needs smoother animations and much better optimization to look good

Why not undo your mistake from A12 and bring back SEPARATE wifi and mobile data toggles from quick menu?
I wish that file access could be granted on a per-directory basis. Or at least the ability to grant access once at a time.

Just got Android 12 this week on my OnePlus... And it's quite bad
I need to get costum rom because the A51 probably doesn't support it
Portland, JAMAICA in The Building !!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought Bluetooth LE was already in Android.
Wonder how android 13 is going to look like on Samsung

Not yet. You're not outdated til the full release drops. This is just a beta.
I hope they get rid of all the bugs.
I need and want the wifi toggle back, not an extra step menu, im not the only one, its annoying, and work arounds dont work and widgets suck
how is the 13 beta?

Pixel 5a and Mi 11lite
