I know how you feel being stuck. I've had bursts of energy setting up my classroom, but somedays I just sit and think about everything that needs to be done!
If you can find a tiny dollar store plastic basket or bin to fit inside that magnetic holder, you can still use the holder for the cards. Or even an acrylic drawer divider that’s the same size to fit down inside it. Just something to provide a flat bottom with about a two inch lip on the inside is all you need. Basically a sleeve that fits inside the holder.
I love how clean and bright your room is! How did you make your skirt for your table? How did you attach the white shelves under your dry erase boards?
Thank you!! I actually have to re-skirt my little table (I removed the fabric to wash it this summer, so it will be in an upcoming video), but basically my friend taught me to use a heavy duty stapler (ordered on amazon) and you just tack the fabric around the edge of the table. Be sure to do pleats every so often so it has room to move and isn't too tight. The shelves under the board are plastic gutters that I screwed into the wall on each end and middle! 🤗
Thank you for being here!! 💜💙🩵💚💛🧡🩷 I am actually just using a monthly planner that I got for $3.99 at Walmart! I don't need the weekly view this year because we are doing all digital plans and a shared template for small group plans. If I was going to use one though, I would buy the cheaper generic Erin Condren planner from Target rather than the more expensive personalized one on the website. 🤗
Can you tell a little more about beanie babies in that wooden cart? I gave each student one the year of Covid teaching so they could have a reading buddy and then let them keep it at the end of the year. How do you use yours? I’m assuming they don’t keep them either. I still have plenty left😂 What do you store in the lower bins of that cart?
What else do we do with all of these beanie babies, right?! 🤣 I have them keep one in their book bin as their reading buddy, and they can pay classroom money to change it out whenever they want! The lower bins have plastic containers with various manipulative toys, play doh, markers, etc. that they use as morning kits when they are all done with their morning routine. Students can come in anytime between 7:10 and 7:40, so some of them get there right at 7:10, get their morning routine done, and have a lot of time left. It is nice to have something they can do. :)
I love the filing cabinet hack you did with glueing magnets onto it, and no need for steamer and call it good!!!

Classroom looks awesome. Fun environment for the children to learn. Good luck this year!
Thank you!!! We are definitely enjoying it! 🌈
You could probably glue some of your boarder to the magnetic shelf to block that gap so the cards wont fall out!
That's a good idea! I was thinking use astrobright paper / cardstock to close the gaps.
Your classroom is huge! I love your positivity btw.
Thank you so much!! It is definitely my happy place!
Love your vlogs! I hope you continue through the school year!🩵🩷💜💛🧡
Looks great!
Thank you!! 🤍🤗
