We had measurements for the ones in the closet and knew those would fit, the ones under the bed we thought we would put up above in our closet but once we got on the ship they actually didn't really fit there but we were really lucky that they fit perfectly under the bed. As the old expression goes, I'd rather be lucky than good. 🤣🤣🤣

I agree with the other posters - you two are adorable. My husband and I retired about 8 years ago when we were in our early 50’s. It’s fun to see people of a like age out having fun and visiting so many new places!
We think travel Keeps Us young active and keeps the Mind sharp as well. Hope you get out and travel along as well!😀

I just found your vlog and am enjoying your journey. I've started at the beginning (packing) to just follow from there. I also use a spreadsheet after almost losing a piece of luggage from a Royal cruise one time. I was asked to complete a form with what was in the luggage!!!!! Thankfully, the piece showed up and I didn't have to finish trying to remember every single item. That taught me a lesson and I have a packing list and checklist of everything that I take. It goes along with me in my carry on, on every cruise. If anything is lost again, I know EXACTLY what was in the particular piece. Serenade is one of our favorite ships and hope that you're having a fabulous time. I can't wait to catch up with you!

Hi! My husband and I are preparing for his first cruise, my first in many years. He got a glimpse of the World Cruise itinerary, and the “bug” bit him hard! So that’s on our Phase 2 Bucket List now. cascading hooks work with virtually any hanger to create vertical rows to hang clothes from. This decreases the amount of hangers on the main rod giving you double or triple the amount of space, according to the brand.
We tried this and I didn't really work for us. But a few people in the ship did use them and they liked them

The Luggage Forward option is absolutely worth the cost for this type of long cruise. There are times that I've been wanting a service like this, I'll remember their name.

Looking at the hangers, I've seen multi level hangers e.g. many pieces of clothes in one space
We tried that, but in the end physics wins out even when they hang lower the thickness is still quite a bit. There's also a limited amount of space on the top and bottom. So they didn't quite work for us. However I do know some people that use them and they did like them

Picardan has been around for much longer than 4 years. Avon has had it as their ingredient in their Skin So Soft bug repellants for more than a decade now.
Sorry if we miss spoke yes it has been in the US for a decade or so but in Europe longer.
Just booked a world cruise on HAL. Love your ideas. How did you know the height of the shelf in the closet or size of the shelves so you could purchase the right size storage bins?
We took a cruise in Alaska on serenades sistership, so we knew it was almost identical in the cabins. And we had our same room on the sistership.

Gratuities were included in the cost of our cruise, and any additional tipping on top of that is at our discretion.

You would think that a boat that size would have little stores where you could buy a pair of tennis shoes or things that you would need on this trip.
It has a gift shop and I think they do sell flip-flops, T-shirts, and such but no tennis shoes.
I noticed you listed Catholic missals.......are they going to have mass on the ship?
They had mass on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day with a Catholic priest they brought in. We were told mass would be held on the ship on Easter as well. Other Sundays, we just watch it on UA-cam.

Hi, this is awesome. I love your organization skills and spreadsheets. If I ever get the opportunity to go on a world cruise, I will copy your technique. I would really like to know how you paid for the cruise. I apologize if this is being too nosy. Like did you make a down payment and then monthly payments? Is there a discount from RC if you pay it off at a certain time?
You pay an initial deposit and then we did make payments over a two-year period and yes there was a discount if you paid before certain date.

Those things actually went in our checked luggage on the airplane. We did buy some additional sunscreen at Walmart once we got to Miami

Do you really need that many clothes don't the cruise ship have a laundry room
We need clothes for all types of weather.
