      I'm a retired EE from the old school... of the 70's-80's business and engineering computer era... bought a Tx and Rx set long ago..it's been in my "parts-is-parts' collection over 6 years at least ... never had a solution that required it until now...
      I'm doing a pushbutton (momentary contact) switch (with an RC denounce) that Tx sends to the Rx to toggle a J/K that drives a single OTS Arduino marketed relay board...
      your thoughts on this project?

Just to let everyone know from my testing it seems to have a pretty good range of at least 5ft or roughly 1.5m without the antenna, provided you are able to supply the recommend minimums to each circuit.

      well on encoder and decoder have 8 pins to set the encoding of rx tx so if you have making few pins of encoder high then the same thing needa to done for decoder too ,
      so if any tx has some status (any) of those 8 pins and few rx has same thing too then they all can receive the data sent by tx

      For HT12D & HT12E ICs if your refer datasheet for these decoder & encoder IC you will be able to see that 51k & 1.1M is prescribed for these. So i was having values of 68k & 1M so i went with those. Because they are nearly similar values.

    You said "without an MCU", yet I see an MCU :/
    Try this with just push button and LED. You push button on one end, LED lights up at other.

    • @electronicGURU
      @electronicGURU  4 роки тому

      The one you think is an MCU is just a encoder and decoder IC and if you think its an Mcu then i'll tell you that you can build an decoder & encode IC just from transistors, complex but not programmable as Mcu and yes we can do that as you recommended but it won't have any proper application.

      @@electronicGURU I just need a simple detector that transmits when triggered. No more complicated than a alarm system sensor (IR/magnet switch/pressure pad). Such a simple circuit can also be used for communication in Morse code. What I need only requires an on/off signal, no coded information.
      We have bears in our forests and I'd like to set up a early warning system around my camp site with trip wire. If I could make the receiver fit with a wrist band on my arm it would be nice.

    • @electronicGURU
      @electronicGURU  4 роки тому

      Oh you can use the same setup i used with a laser and ir receiver and whenever laser gets tripped it will have transistors which will break the circuit and the receiver gets triggered. Something like that

    • @Willy_Tepes
      @Willy_Tepes 4 роки тому +1

      @@electronicGURU Oh, it is really that simple? I'm relatively new to electronics, but that sounds like something I could make easily. If I put a 555 timer on each transmitter and tuned them differently I could know which detector that was tripped by the intervals of transmission. I just need a buzzer on the receiver.
      It is a good idea for a video as no one else seems to have uploaded anything like that.

    • @electronicGURU
      @electronicGURU  4 роки тому

      Thanks for sharing i would suggest to add a microcontroller instead, it won't cost much use any cheap one and program whatever functionality you like it will save you alot of trouble of using 555 and identifying intervals because sometimes its hard to get exact intervals on these 555.
