I love how in all of these videos, the monkeys come to help / comfort her and as soon as she starts to cling to them the instantly realize that she's not only to heavy but also to big and quickly regret picking her up and fighting her off with all their might. If she didn't cling to their legs so they couldn't walk they probably wouldn't care as much but she's just an anchor or a cinderblock pulling them to the bottom of the sea
I think the hanging onto the leg could have something to do with the way she hung onto her owners legs, same with the way she hangs onto the shoulders and arms, maybe the way they carried her, just a thought
none of it is her fault. was stolen as a newborn. kept for a time as a pet and abandoned with no understanding of what's going on or what to do. she was stolen from the one that would teach her those things.

I forget what her name was before they dumped her, but I'm sure a little searching could pull the vids up. These slugs would tease her by taking her blanket away, which would set her off. Then when she was sort of starting to acclimate, she was killed by one of the males from another troop. And that's instinct. When you're wailing like that all day, instinctual these animals see it as an air raid siren calling to any predators nearby. They usually give them a warning or two, and when they don't stop, what happened to Candy is common.

I watched a very disturbing documentary just recently about how a lot of the babies are stolen from the mother. Firstly, there are monkey farms where the females are constantly kept pregnant so twice a year they give birth and the baby is taken away immediately. The second way was evil. The mother was killed just before the birth and the baby was cut out of her stomach and the baby revived and sold. The woman who did it was not a medical professional but knew exactly what to do. Monkey babies are not a substitute for a human baby just like a human baby is not a substitute for a monkey baby. I know that having a monkey baby as a pet is forbidden in some countries but you will always find people who take no notice and do it for money, like the Vo who was Candy’s owner. Once the baby gets bigger and more difficult and demanding, destructive. dangerous, they get rid of them and the baby has no idea what to do to survive. Candy was probably a difficult monkey if she was as clingy as she is here , I don’t know but she got dumped and was dead within a few weeks.
This is the way that it always plays out. The 'VO's' know Exactly what they are getting into but the normal person that just wanted a monkey pet doesn't and they quickly find out just how troublesome it is to own one of these things. As babies they are fine because they NEED humans for food and safety, but once they reach a certain age they take over, they see themselves as the Alpha and become Very aggressive, it happens 100% of the time. At this point people are no longer willing or able to care for or keep them as pets and dump then as soon as they can. They always have a safety blanket that has been beaten into them that its their mother and a safe place to be, which is why you will always see them with a blanket when released. The problems start from here, the monkey that is released goes from being the Alpha to little more then shit on the bottom of the other monkey's paws, they have NO idea how to interact with other monkeys, how to get food or water, how to find a place to sleep.. Everything is lost on them! They will Always go into a defensive and submissive state to attempt to convey that they're not a treat to the others but they still have no clue how to interact or even communicate with the others. Videos like this one are a great example of what happens when a former Simi-Domesticated Alpha is dumped in the wild, They ALWAYS revert to a baby like state and cling to the first monkey that is 'kind' to them, at which point that monkey will fight for dear life to get rid of the parasite that just latched onto it, not a single one of these monkeys wants to take on the responsibility of playing mommy to some random monkey that isn't even part of the tribe, some older females might decide to step in and adopt them, but that very rarely happens and in most cases these abandoned monkeys die of starvation, being hit by a car or die from being attacked by the others. Its very rare for these abandoned monkeys to be taken in by the tribe and lets be honest here, it wouldn't be nearly as good of a video to watch if they did. The whole point of doing this is because the VO's know exactly what's going to happen, they know that the monkey is going to get the shit kicked out of it, they know its going to scream and cry and attempt to latch onto any other monkey it can and it makes for a good video to watch, no one would ever watch these videos if they released the monkey and it just walked in and started to eat and live normally with the rest of them. The point is, people that have no idea what they are doing are stupid as shit and the VO's are pretty damn evil for doing what they do. However, these videos wouldn't be up and watched by so many people if it didn't sell and make them money. I am by no means a monkey or human expert, but it doesn't take watching more then a few of these videos to figure what's going on, this isn't even the worst that can happen to them, there are plenty of videos of the released monkey being attacked by the whole tribe as soon as its released and generally they don't make it past a few hours in the 'wild'
Exactly I seen her make progress when they took the towel away for a little while. She would start interacting and doing typical monkey things. But then they would bring the towel back and it was like starting over.
People tell me that impoverished country is infested with them and they are a nuisance however the real Tree rats are those impoverished scumbags who are guilty of decreasing the primates habit day after day! I just watched a couple of videos of candy when she was Baby Rosa and she was clingy then just like she is now. The owner was trying to put a nappy on one of the other monkeys and Candy would Not let it go, same when drinking milk, she threw her bottle away so she could cling onto it, so she’s been a pain right from the beginning. There’s something wrong with her. I don’t think she would change very much and as for being a mother, oh my, can you imagine what she would do if a male tried to hump her, I hate to think
It’s sos sweet how the adolescent monkeys come to calm her down. I feel like they understand her pain and grief. Research on primates shows they experience separation anxiety, evident by baby monkeys having seizures when moms walk away, and experience love and other emotions.
Yes and they screech, want to nurse 24/7, greedy beyond belief,clingy, stupid, stink something awful, poop and pee , and people want to own them until they find out what they’re like, that’s when they get dumped or killed by the owners.
I really miss Candy. I felt so sorry for her because she was one of the most terrified monkeys that I've ever seen. The VO's/Cameramen were so mean to her and they would let her get attacked just so they could make money off of her tragedy and suffering...BASTARDS!!! We ALL knew that if they didn't get her out of there that she would be killed, but they never did a thing for her. Also, the ONLY thing that EVER gave her any comfort at all was her little safety blanket (towel) and they would take it away from her all of the time. Not only did the bigger monkeys torture her, but the VO's/Cameramen were awful to her!!! Everybody knew that she wasn't going to be able to handle living in the wild, but they left her there anyway and of course she got attacked and DIED!!!
What were they supposed to do for her? Put her back in diapers in another home? This is a 3rd world country where there are thousands of monkeys and limited resources. It's 💔 but talking smack wasn't going to change it. They helped her, fed her, and encouraged other monkeys to take her in.
I know people over there don't care about them but it's pure torture to take them from it's mother at birth and then feed it, bath it , give it attention. Humanize it really. Then one day take it to the forest and leave it all alone. Walk away like it's nothing. That's torture for no reason. Wrong so wrong for humans to do that to these innocent baby's

Cane baby. She's worse off than the usual UA-cam pets. Her posture gives away a past of getting hit with a cane and being tied up with sticks. She sits upright and walks pretty naturally. I may be wrong if she has a broken hand, but I've seen quite a bit of video across a long span of time now and I'm pretty sure she always goes up on hind legs around humans.
People leave these monkeys in their habitat. Yes, they do look like you can and will give them alot of love. They have a place where they should live just like we do as humans. Taking them out of their habitation and dropping them back to it hurts them more as we can see what has happened to poor Candy and others. Think before you do, PLEASE.

Well, yes, it is that she had a great life, and no, it isn't because she knew damn well the monkeys were not her owner and she had no reason to believe they were to cater to her. You nailed the storyline they all adhere to: They see another abandoned monkey. Never have they shown the owner dumping the monkey. One video only showed the owner’s neat-o tee shirt and bare arms holding the soon-to-be abandoned monkey, draped in a towel, at arms’ length. Either 3/4 of the World’s population are idiots, or these people believe it to be true and don’t even try to pull off a more logical, believable hustle.

6:18 there are four monkeys in a humpforting pile around her, one hugging her like a sibling and another who came earlier and gekkered in empathy. She has no idea what's going on. She hasn't been raised with constant attention off-cam with fellow monkeys when she was in captivity, as she takes every moment to select humans instead. She would have had the usual fear of bigger monkeys she'd have never seen before with a sprinkle of abandonment pathology at the first like the rest of them do if she was just a UA-cam pet, but "pet" wasn't her day job. They tried showing her how to find food and they groomed her, they tried to be nice and help her adjust to the new life since most of them knew all too well what it was like to be dumped by humans, but she just refused to act like any of the other monkeys.... yes it's beyond messed up that she was taken from her mother at birth and then dumped again later in life after only knowing human interaction and food and all that but at some point just like all the other abandoned monkeys she needed to learn to live amongst the others like normal.... since she would not and continued to cling and scream and throw tantrums she was killed....
I wil say it again and again. People who steal these baby monkeys, dress them up like a sircus monkey, and then whrn they are no more cute enough and them to just dump them must be jailed for life
She never groomed anyone. She never comforted others. She never learned etiquette or rank or how to forage or climb trees. She grabbed food out of bigger monkeys hands and screamed like a banshee when monkeys the same size as her refused to carry her around. She was there for sixth months, she spent more of her life in the wild than as a pet, and yet she never improved past being what everyone insisted she be treated as; a completely helpless “baby” monkey who needed round the clock love and protection and a special blanket to snuggle. She died because she was too busy feeling sorry for herself to make any effort at not draining the entire troop around the clock. I’m convinced that had she never been a pet and grown up normally, her fate wouldn’t have been much different. That level of neuroticism is more than just being a pet, that’s in her dna.
Baby Candy seems afraid of the people that's filming her. We don't know what happened prior to the time the film started. She's truly frightened by something or someone. People are so despicable at times. RIP Baby Candy !!
She'd been poached much too young and a ratty old towel was her surrogate mama. It was the only comfort she'd ever had. So of course these people snatched it away.
Candy was isolated her entire time while in captivity, when not filming, she was placed in a cage in a room, alone. With a filthy urine soaked brown towel. The reminisce of it is now used to torture and tease her with now. The VO's find this humorous when they take it from her and she has a meltdown! Her only bit of comfort was sucking her toes and clinging to that nasty towel! She had no stimulation nor any interactions with other primates. Why they isolated her is beyond me. That is why she is so clingy and awkward towards other monkies! It was too much for the juvenile monkies, they tried to comfort her, but she pushed t😢hem away with her clingyness!!!! Sad but Candy is in a better place now. She would of got raped by older monkies, impregnated and would of been forced into early motherhood and would of probably either killed her baby, or it would of been kidnapped and murdered by another monkey.
My heartaches with seeing these scared, traumatized babies. And the little ones who are still babies trying to comfort and care for them. God bless them and all who help and care for them.
Candy seems very sweet, this is the first time I’m watching her on video. Being kept as a pet wrecks their lives. Even the sweetest BB type monkey, kept in the best and most affectionate way possible, grows up and becomes much too large to be kept confined.😢. I guess this is as good a place as any to bring up some thing that really bothers me. I’ve noticed that often young male babies still nursing catch the eye of adult males who seem to have sexual assault on their mind; these babies often have males trying to mount them and the mother, in several cases that I’ve seen, doesn’t budge an inch. That really makes me feel angry and sad for the little ones.
I wish you all would be this upset over the Red Light District where they literally sell their own kids into slave prostitution! It’s really bad over there . I just saw an uncle sell his niece without the parents knowing. He gave them 1/2 the money and they were happy. Get mad over this .

Monkey's pain threshold is exactly the same as human beings so they do know and feel everything. If you cameramen kept your distance and stop trying too tear them apart Candy would have had alot more love and cuddles from the teenagers as they were worried about her according too zoo keeper experts who have studied them over many years. Baby girl Candy is dead ! She couldn't and didn't adapt living in the wild, she had a miserable life, every day was a misery for baby Candy,at the end an alpha male called Sankra attacked her, it was under lockdown at that moment, they couldn't rescue her immediately, after few days later she was taken to what's called NGO or whatever, but she couldn't survive the attack, she died in peace few days later at NGO. A big soul in a little body, Candy was one of a kind, very unique, very kind, all she wanted was to be loved and taking care of, something that is not so easy on this earth, she is now in a place where she can only be LOVED. RIP my sweet Candy💝💝💝💝💝

I wonder where the other juveniles are, surely they would all be there to have a look at the "newby"? At one point 3 monkeys are round her but she's still crying to the camera, the whole savana group doesn't sit right with me.
It doesn’t “sit right” with you because you lack even a rudimentary understanding of macaque behavior. Monkeys raised with humans will always seek out and trust humans before other monkeys. No exceptions. It’s part of their innate desire for hierarchy and they know who the dominant animal is. Their cousin the human. Whether they know the person or not is irrelevant, they just want people. As she her constant crying, she was born messed up and was abandoned as a result. Unfortunately she lacked the mental fortitude to cope with her traumatic introduction to the world and her further traumatic life with humans. She wasn’t abused, but she definitely didn’t have the best monkey life. That’s partly because of the humans involved and partly the fact she was born soft in the head. She was doomed from the minute she saw daylight. Being rescued only delayed her inevitable awful end.

I watched a very disturbing documentary just recently about how a lot of the babies are stolen from the mother. Firstly, there are monkey farms where the females are constantly kept pregnant so twice a year they give birth and the baby is taken away immediately. The second way was evil. The mother was killed just before the birth and the baby was cut out of her stomach and the baby revived and sold. The woman who did it was not a medical professional but knew exactly what to do. Monkey babies are not a substitute for a human baby just like a human baby is not a substitute for a monkey baby. I know that having a monkey baby as a pet is forbidden in some countries but you will always find people who take no notice and do it for money, like the Vo who was Candy’s owner. Once the baby gets bigger and more difficult and demanding, destructive. dangerous, they get rid of them and the baby has no idea what to do to survive.
Candy was probably a difficult monkey if she was as clingy as she is here , I don’t know but she got dumped and was dead within a few weeks.
This is the way that it always plays out. The 'VO's' know Exactly what they are getting into but the normal person that just wanted a monkey pet doesn't and they quickly find out just how troublesome it is to own one of these things.
As babies they are fine because they NEED humans for food and safety, but once they reach a certain age they take over, they see themselves as the Alpha and become Very aggressive, it happens 100% of the time. At this point people are no longer willing or able to care for or keep them as pets and dump then as soon as they can.
They always have a safety blanket that has been beaten into them that its their mother and a safe place to be, which is why you will always see them with a blanket when released. The problems start from here, the monkey that is released goes from being the Alpha to little more then shit on the bottom of the other monkey's paws, they have NO idea how to interact with other monkeys, how to get food or water, how to find a place to sleep.. Everything is lost on them! They will Always go into a defensive and submissive state to attempt to convey that they're not a treat to the others but they still have no clue how to interact or even communicate with the others.
Videos like this one are a great example of what happens when a former Simi-Domesticated Alpha is dumped in the wild, They ALWAYS revert to a baby like state and cling to the first monkey that is 'kind' to them, at which point that monkey will fight for dear life to get rid of the parasite that just latched onto it, not a single one of these monkeys wants to take on the responsibility of playing mommy to some random monkey that isn't even part of the tribe, some older females might decide to step in and adopt them, but that very rarely happens and in most cases these abandoned monkeys die of starvation, being hit by a car or die from being attacked by the others.
Its very rare for these abandoned monkeys to be taken in by the tribe and lets be honest here, it wouldn't be nearly as good of a video to watch if they did. The whole point of doing this is because the VO's know exactly what's going to happen, they know that the monkey is going to get the shit kicked out of it, they know its going to scream and cry and attempt to latch onto any other monkey it can and it makes for a good video to watch, no one would ever watch these videos if they released the monkey and it just walked in and started to eat and live normally with the rest of them.
The point is, people that have no idea what they are doing are stupid as shit and the VO's are pretty damn evil for doing what they do. However, these videos wouldn't be up and watched by so many people if it didn't sell and make them money.
I am by no means a monkey or human expert, but it doesn't take watching more then a few of these videos to figure what's going on, this isn't even the worst that can happen to them, there are plenty of videos of the released monkey being attacked by the whole tribe as soon as its released and generally they don't make it past a few hours in the 'wild'
Right on in the wild the same thing would have happened to her, just how it is some peronslities wont be tollerated in the troup or the wild.
To dump them is cruel. However, they should have never left the towel with her. Its made it only harder from the start.
Exactly I seen her make progress when they took the towel away for a little while. She would start interacting and doing typical monkey things. But then they would bring the towel back and it was like starting over.

I just watched a couple of videos of candy when she was Baby Rosa and she was clingy then just like she is now. The owner was trying to put a nappy on one of the other monkeys and Candy would Not let it go, same when drinking milk, she threw her bottle away so she could cling onto it, so she’s been a pain right from the beginning. There’s something wrong with her. I don’t think she would change very much and as for being a mother, oh my, can you imagine what she would do if a male tried to hump her, I hate to think

I really miss Candy. I felt so sorry for her because she was one of the most terrified monkeys that I've ever seen. The VO's/Cameramen were so mean to her and they would let her get attacked just so they could make money off of her tragedy and suffering...BASTARDS!!! We ALL knew that if they didn't get her out of there that she would be killed, but they never did a thing for her. Also, the ONLY thing that EVER gave her any comfort at all was her little safety blanket (towel) and they would take it away from her all of the time. Not only did the bigger monkeys torture her, but the VO's/Cameramen were awful to her!!! Everybody knew that she wasn't going to be able to handle living in the wild, but they left her there anyway and of course she got attacked and DIED!!!

Cane baby. She's worse off than the usual UA-cam pets. Her posture gives away a past of getting hit with a cane and being tied up with sticks. She sits upright and walks pretty naturally. I may be wrong if she has a broken hand, but I've seen quite a bit of video across a long span of time now and I'm pretty sure she always goes up on hind legs around humans.

People leave these monkeys in their habitat. Yes, they do look like you can and will give them alot of love. They have a place where they should live just like we do as humans. She hasn't been raised with constant attention off-cam with fellow monkeys when she was in captivity, as she takes every moment to select humans instead. She would have had the usual fear of bigger monkeys she'd have never seen before with a sprinkle of abandonment pathology at the first like the rest of them do if she was just a UA-cam pet, but "pet" wasn't her day job. They tried showing her how to find food and they groomed her, they tried to be nice and help her adjust to the new life since most of them knew all too well what it was like to be dumped by humans, but she just refused to act like any of the other monkeys.... yes it's beyond messed up that she was taken from her mother at birth and then dumped again later in life after only knowing human interaction and food and all that but at some point just like all the other abandoned monkeys she needed to learn to live amongst the others like normal.... since she would not and continued to cling and scream and throw tantrums she was killed....

I wil say it again and again. People who steal these baby monkeys, dress them up like a sircus monkey, and then whrn they are no more cute enough and them to just dump them must be jailed for life

She never groomed anyone. She never comforted others. She never learned etiquette or rank or how to forage or climb trees. She grabbed food out of bigger monkeys hands and screamed like a banshee when monkeys the same size as her refused to carry her around. She was there for sixth months, she spent more of her life in the wild than as a pet, and yet she never improved past being what everyone insisted she be treated as; a completely helpless “baby” monkey who needed round the clock love and protection and a special blanket to snuggle. She died because she was too busy feeling sorry for herself to make any effort at not draining the entire troop around the clock. I’m convinced that had she never been a pet and grown up normally, her fate wouldn’t have been much different. That level of neuroticism is more than just being a pet, that’s in her dna.
Baby Candy seems afraid of the people that's filming her. We don't know what happened prior to the time the film started. She's truly frightened by something or someone. People are so despicable at times. RIP Baby Candy !!
They took her towel away
She'd been poached much too young and a ratty old towel was her surrogate mama. It was the only comfort she'd ever had. So of course these people snatched it away.
Candy was isolated her entire time while in captivity, when not filming, she was placed in a cage in a room, alone. With a filthy urine soaked brown towel. The reminisce of it is now used to torture and tease her with now. The VO's find this humorous when they take it from her and she has a meltdown! Her only bit of comfort was sucking her toes and clinging to that nasty towel! She had no stimulation nor any interactions with other primates. Why they isolated her is beyond me. That is why she is so clingy and awkward towards other monkies! It was too much for the juvenile monkies, they tried to comfort her, but she pushed t😢hem away with her clingyness!!!! Sad but Candy is in a better place now. She would of got raped by older monkies, impregnated and would of been forced into early motherhood and would of probably either killed her baby, or it would of been kidnapped and murdered by another monkey.
My heartaches with seeing these scared, traumatized babies. And the little ones who are still babies trying to comfort and care for them. God bless them and all who help and care for them.

Candy seems very sweet, this is the first time I’m watching her on video. Being kept as a pet wrecks their lives. Even the sweetest BB type monkey, kept in the best and most affectionate way possible, grows up and becomes much too large to be kept confined.😢.
I guess this is as good a place as any to bring up some thing that really bothers me. I’ve noticed that often young male babies still nursing catch the eye of adult males who seem to have sexual assault on their mind; these babies often have males trying to mount them and the mother, in several cases that I’ve seen, doesn’t budge an inch. That really makes me feel angry and sad for the little ones.
So much irony in that she clings because she feels unsafe, but the clinging inevitably leads to getting her arse whooped 😮

I think you're confusing entitlement & fear, she hasn't expressed that she's entitled to anything, she's clingy out of fear, she screams out of fear, she cries because she's surrounded by numerous monkeys, yes they are her breed, but they're also strangers, out of fear, only humans express entitlement & stupidity, but obviously you already knew that before you expressed your stupidity for not seeing the tree because of the forest, baby monkeys can't express entitlement, all she knows is that her world was jerked completely out from under her, thats what she's expressing

Monkey's pain threshold is exactly the same as human beings so they do know and feel everything. If you cameramen kept your distance and stop trying too tear them apart Candy would have had alot more love and cuddles from the teenagers as they were worried about her according too zoo keeper experts who have studied them over many years. And it's all about what goes on behind the camera on the human interference videos really 🌄🏞🌇

Baby girl Candy is dead ! She couldn't and didn't adapt living in the wild, she had a miserable life, every day was a misery for baby Candy,at the end an alpha male called Sankra attacked her, it was under lockdown at that moment, they couldn't rescue her immediately, after few days later she was taken to what's called NGO or whatever, but she couldn't survive the attack, she died in peace few days later at NGO.
A big soul in a little body, Candy was one of a kind, very unique, very kind, all she wanted was to be loved and taking care of, something that is not so easy on this earth, she is now in a place where she can only be LOVED.
RIP my sweet Candy💝💝💝💝💝

Что за привычка рыдать над каждой обезьяной.Куда ее выкинули.Она практически с людьми живет.Здесь же не дикая природа в которой погибает множество обезьян.Ее постоянно таскают утешители.Просто есть обезьяны как илюди с разным харакрером.Она скулит когда видит операторов.Выпрашивает еду.

The vo is behind this. I wonder where the other juveniles are, surely they would all be there to have a look at the "newby"? At one point 3 monkeys are round her but she's still crying to the camera, the whole savana group doesn't sit right with me.
It doesn’t “sit right” with you because you lack even a rudimentary understanding of macaque behavior. Monkeys raised with humans will always seek out and trust humans before other monkeys. No exceptions. It’s part of their innate desire for hierarchy and they know who the dominant animal is. Their cousin the human. Whether they know the person or not is irrelevant, they just want people.
As she her constant crying, she was born messed up and was abandoned as a result. Unfortunately she lacked the mental fortitude to cope with her traumatic introduction to the world and her further traumatic life with humans. She wasn’t abused, but she definitely didn’t have the best monkey life. That’s partly because of the humans involved and partly the fact she was born soft in the head.
She was doomed from the minute she saw daylight. Being rescued only delayed her inevitable awful end.
Candy is a vine. She is worse than poison ivy.
