@@peterb8904 Yes, on the expenses of making it because purple dye was found in the blood of sea clam or something like that by the Phoenicians they traded it with places it Mesopotamia but they kept milking off the purple dye (blood) which made it a limited supply so then getting it became expensive. If it wasn't for that it technically wouldn't have been expensive in the first place. It also had to do with Egyptians finding amethyst using it as a protection for royalty. Mirellia may be one of the best examples of royalty in anime. She's politically savvy and has a good grasp of the bigger picture, but is still pretty personable. She loves her family and has some geek-ish tendencies (filoials and the Heroes). I really like the respect she shares with Naofumi and I can totally get why she wants to see wants him and Melty to get together (even if I have some mixed feelings about it). Obvious political advantages aside, the dude's proven what kind of person he is and Mirellia knows there are plenty of seriously worse options for her daughter.
No she is just asshole cunt and I'm glad her daughter took her revenge and lopped off that rotten head of hers.

She is a professional manipulator. Naofumi doesn't trust her. She knew about the plot because the shadows spied on Myne, and she didn't do anything. She waited, so she could get rid of her daughter and husband for legal reasons, even though many people have been killed. You know when the police waits for a criminal to do worse than they deserve, such as to commit a murder, so they can give him a worse punishment?
The queen could have prevented this, she could also ask the Shadows to protect her daughter. Shadows are stronger than knights or Myne.

In a way as 7 Vassal weapons are sort of like the four cardinal weapons but weaker in regards. They still can absorb parts and transform but don't screw with xp since raphtalia gets one.

Trash as the Staff hero fought with the humans. He was a wise hero and well known. His parents were killed by Demi-Humans, and so blamed the previous Shield Hero for the death of his family, that's why he treated Naofumi poorly and continued to mention the shield hero harming his family.
in the novel, there's this spin-off chapter where the queen keep pestering Naofumi to take Melty for a "night" but of course Naofumi rejected that idea, then Trash joins in and says "is there anything you find not appealing from my cute daughter?!".
and Naofumi retort back "what kind of father telling a men to take his underrage daughter?! You truly is a trash!"
it doesn't goes exactly like that as I don't remember it clearly (been a long time), but you get what I mean.

Pretty sure you made a mistake with the King. From what I know, all Four Cardinal Heroes are summoned from another world,
thus the King couldn't have been the Spear Hero. Wasn't he the Cane/Staff Hero? Apparently there are some types of Heroes in that world
where average people can become Heroes with hard work.

I think the war broke out again because the king summoned the four heroes without the demi humans knowing. I guess they wanted on of their own to be one of the cardinal heroes
They also work great together since he tries to be constructive when working with her (even if certain heroes make working constructively a lost cause), and she in turn I think really respects that since she most of the time gives him the respect of dropping pretenses and being straight with him (often time speaking to him in a way she simply can't with others given her position). Which in itself is her trying to undo the damage done to him by her daughter since he has been rendered very short on patience for being manipulated.

To me one of the greatest moments is when she was willing to offer own life up to save Malty. Even with her crimes on clear display she was still a mother and was willing to sacrifice herself for her children. that's the sign of a great character.

The Summoning of the Shield Hero in Melromarc, Siltvelt found out the mistreatment of the Shield Hero. Leading to high tension between two countries. Remember when Naofumi's party tries to flee to Siltvelt there were high military precense because of two reasons. First In preparation for the war. Second To stop the Demi-Humans contacting Naofumi.
The tension subsided when Naofumi established his own territory in Melromarc. Siltvelt Royalty will send many demi-human girls for political purposes.
In regards to Mirelia's 'shipping it' upon offering him a reward after his name was cleared, otherwise the perfect ending to the arc, the one improvement I could have seen is this:
Naofumi has been the one most befitting of the title of hero and receiving next to none of the admiration or recognition that the other heroes have, he's had to claw his way up and fight for a world he hates just so he can have the chance to go back home, he swallowed his pride and did everything he was supposed to.
I would have liked to have seen Naofumi been rewarded with something small, nothing like money or items that would cheapen his self-made status, something purely symbolic, an easily recognizable and cliche'd reward that all good heroes typically get...
A kiss from a princess, I would have loved to have seen Melty say "Thank you, Shield Hero" and give him just a peck on the cheek.

That Siltvelt knew of Trash's anti-Shield Hero actions (as she had asked for the King to get Naofumi on their side, not AGAINST them) forced Mirellia to strip her husband and oldest daughter of royal status (though in the manga/light novel she stopped short of letting him kill them, in the anime a premonition by Naofumi giving into his wrath kept him from killing them--as he almost died against the Pope with Blutopher, and didn't want to get into that nastiness again).

Wrong, where the hell do you get your spoilers? I'm betting you have not even read the novels. Melromarc has already been in conflict with Siltvelt long before the king becomes the king of Melromarc. Siltvelt was the one who started the war. They embarked on a world domination quest against the world similar to Nazi Germany. The human nations banded and formed an alliance with Melromarc on the helm.
The king is from another country called Faubley, the strongest nation of the world. In fact he is a prince and is third in line to the throne of Faubley. One day he found his family all killed by demi-human except for him and his little sister. They found out that his family was killed by demi-humans from Siltvelt. He called for revenge but due to politics Faubley did not push Siltvelt for justice.
From there he discarded his name and lineage and went to Melromarc and enlisted as a normal soldier. He collected victories and accolades and rose through the ranks quickly due to his natural tactician genius. Mirellia then fell in love with him and married him. He was called the Wise King of Melromarc due to how he basically singlehandedly humiliated Siltvelt's armies. He was feared and revered that if the enemy knew that he is in command they just retreat without engaging in combat.
Also he defeated a former seven star hero in single combat for the right to wield the Cane weapon and for the title of "Hero of the Cane". Seven star hero are very powerful hero similar to the cardinal heroes. They are 2nd in power only to cardinal heroes.

The war between Melromarc and Siltvelt broke out again because of the discrimination against Naofumi and not only Siltvelt but Shieldfreeden too, prepare for a war since the two countries worship the Shield hero.
The other reason making the countries like Faubley (the strongest nation in the world) and Zeltoble along with Siltvelt and Shieldfreeden to prepare a war against Melromarc because they ignored the decision of the world conference.
While the conference has decided that Melromarc will be the fourth country to summon a hero in the order of summoning. But the country summoned all four legendary heroes at once. Making them furious and also, the discrimination against the Shield hero in Melromarc make everything gone worst
Actually there was never a war, but they were in the brink of it, because Trash summoned all heroes into Melromarc. Queen was actually went there to discuss the summonings and her country selected to be the last country to recieve a hero. I can see happening, that Naofumi WILL choose Raphtalia, 'cause She was the first person in this new world, that trusted his every judgment and blindly follows him, wherever he's going. Raphtalia would follow him into hell or even bring HIS soul back from the depths of hell if she knows her sacrifice is needed to do so, so much she loves him.
Therefore, Naofumi will choose her over everyone else!

This story has some really good looking character designs all around, Queen shows up and im done lol crazy hotness.
