The best thing I’ve ever done regarding daily mail was to put a trash can outside (in my garage) so as I’m bring in the mail, I immediately toss all the junk mail and ads. It never even gets through the front door.

I should add that once the trash can is full, I empty it into the recycling bin. 👌
Auto pay for bills and paperless options are a game changer! These two options have eliminated 95% of paper clutter for us. Most of the rest is typically junk mail.

I never understand why people choose to ay bills manually that can be done automatically. Automated is so much easier and stops mail from getting in =)

Great video. My Hubby cks the mail, hands it to me & then I go through, sort it out & pay the bills. Every wk or 2 we talk about anything dealing with bills or what's coming up that we need to address. I file everything into a file bin. It's super easy & works well for both of us.

We are paperless for everything so we get no bills in the mail. We also have a recycling bin next to the front door so any junk we do get goes right into the bin.

I really don't like paper, I keep paper at a minimum and get rid of what's outdated. Your suggestions are always on point Sophie.❤️

You are inspiring and I am always in awe at how much you can achieve every day 😊 (Loving your Day By Day series too). My son was born around two weeks after your Owen, so it’s fun to see how they grow so similarly. So happy for you!
Following up on a few other comments here: going paperless and having organised digital storage works well for many of our bills, and in terms of junk mail we have a “No Junk Mail Please” sticker on our mailbox, so avoid all junk mail altogether. I live in Melbourne, so maybe that’s just an Australian thing?
I use the Sunday Basket and it saves me so much time and keeps me organized.

Great video. I pretty much do these things except the one about writing down the dates for expirations. Thanks for that tip. I carry coupons in my purse & then let them expire bc they get lost. 🤪 I'm going to start being more intentional with that. Thanks for another great video, Sophie.

I usually keep the junk mail on the take action pile. It serves as a reminder to call the company to ask them not to send me things. That way I might get the junk mail once, but at least not a second time. After calling it goes into recycling right away.
I absolutely loved this video. So simple, yet so helpful. I am also OBSESSED with your calendar. The minimalist look combined with the extra large writing zones of your calendar...These are SO hard to find...would you happen to have a link / or brand for the calendar by any chance (please) ?
