Just rewatched s3 and it’s heartbreaking to see ruby get phased out like that on the last 3 episodes just to make room for maive (boo.. but I get it). There’s so much more to ruby than we saw in the first 2 seasons which makes it exciting to follow. Opening up to Otis being the first guy and showing natural emotion really spoke to me. And maybe she went too fast, but when it happens it happens. From the bowling, holding hands, inviting him to her house scenes, it really was emotional especially given the outcome. Her reaction on the bus in France shows she still caresss for him.
What she said in the trenches gives a small chance of starting something again even as friends.
I hope that s4 doesn’t just phase her out or leaves her as she is because she deserves more. I hope that Otis and ruby are offical and maive is just a best friend. Team rotis (unlikely… but the heart wants what the heart wants).

@@sashaevans9171 Exactly. I get Ruby was hurt, but she ended up hurting herself even more by making such a rash decision. Had she given it some more time, it could've worked out, but she drove him towards Maeve.
I think she rushed the saying I love you part. Otis explained to her that he does really really like her and that he believes he will love her in due time. He was basically telling her that he thinks he loves her yet is unsure on his feelings towards her and that he didn't want her to be angry at him. He wanted to continue their relationship so that he could continue to build his feelings towards Ruby. He did love her yet as I said he was more than likely unsure on his feelings. Think in S4 he will realize that he does love Ruby and will tell her such.

I'm a fan of both yet more so for Rotis. Maeve is sort of leading him on. He makes his feelings quite clear with Maeve she ignores it basically, Maeve says she has feelings for him when he was in a relationship with Ola (she was jealous), and soon as when they were potentially to get together she then moves out of the country to the US. Otis needs someone that'll be there for him and who he'll be there for as well. Maeve would be there but not in the way Ruby probably would.
I personally didn’t get the whole Otis and Maeve thing it was pointless from the start.

Honestly I get it why Otis said what he said -- he simply wasn't ready. I understand Ruby being upset that Otis didn't feel the same way at the moment. But if you looked from Otis perspective, Ruby was always being mean to him. I do think Otis would have easily fell in love with her in due time, the same I felt when we all saw the real Ruby at home. Otis never got to see the real her, which is why he couldn't love her yet. But Ruby has always seen the real Otis, which is why they fell for him first. It upsetting because, I felt Otis really liked her, and it was a matter of time before he loved her too. Please Netflix gods, give me more Rotis!
So end of the day, my takeaway for people reading this comment. Don't expect the person you love to say "I love you" just because you said it. Putting it out there kind of gives a que to the other person that you want to take this relationship seriously. You should probably give it some time before they say it back to you - two people can fall in love with each at different pace.

@John Town from someone who was in love and know how it's like it's really hard to do something, Ruby and Otis started really differently, they were sex buddies but Maeve and Otis were best friends they trust each other to come to your best friend and tell them that you are in love with them it's really hard specially when you are someone like Maeve who doesn't have a lot of confident, it took Otis too a long time do something, sometimes you need to go through stuff to get to the goal and Maeve needs to think about herself before thinking about Otis like we all should it's great example and she made the right choice. You can see in their moments and chemistry their dynamic. It feels right to both of them and they are still kids they are still to figure things out to can tell that they feel a lot more confident and happy now that they went through all of those things, Maeve with her mom and Sean, her relationship with Issac and Jackson made her realize that she's still in love with Otis, her friendship with Aimee, she can trust Aimee and Otis more and now she has a home and she can get great education. Otis was a dickhead and he knows it he was an asshole to Maeve, Eric, his mom, Ola and Jacob but he's learning and he's trying his best, he learned from his relationship with Ruby and his patients as well
Anyway hahaha I'm sorry it's really long but what I'm trying to say is that sometimes things take time and it's ok you need to go through moments in your life to get to the goal and it's not the end a lot of other stuff will happens too

don't get me wrong i still LOVE maeve and in season one and two, otis and maeve absolutely but this season these two were very unexpected and a surprising pairing which i just completely fell in love with❤
I think most ppl are just tired of the maeve and otis ship and ruby otis ship is a breath of fresh air. I think it is much better that maeve and otis dont end up together but can still be close friends. I think that would be a much better story telling.
