  • The lucky number 13th installment of our exclusive web series featuring some of our all-time favorites! Rock n' Roll royalty Los Lobos and our old pal Chuck Prophet have been thrilling us for decades, and continue the trend in this very special episode. (Trust me.........you don't want to miss the once-in-a-lifetime guest appearance in the Los Lobos archival section.) Our good friend Tre Burt holds down the hosting duties.
Over the last twenty years, for one weekend every October, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass has brought together some of the most iconic and revered names in roots music for a free celebration in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. This year we took the show on the road to bring you even closer to artists with recordings and interviews from their hometowns. Please join us as we “Let The Music Play On & On”.
    Episodes are EVERY OTHER TUESDAY
    8pm ET / 5 pm PT

Just saw Chuck Prophet at the Skipper Sundome in Tampa. Just him, no band. Best concert I've seen in years.

So awesome! Thanks for bringing the music to us. We miss seeing you in Golden Gate Park, and parking at George Washington High School!

Well, that was a very powerful performance of "What's Going On". That's why we pay these guys the big bucks.
I'm almost glad I wasn't there, because my defective brain would have probably been completely destroyed by the minutiae like seeing Boz Scaggs without a Zoot Suit. I never met him but to me he was always synonymous with the looking like a Million Bucks (literally). Never heard the Chuck Prophet tune either, the hoboroadie is seriously lacking in culture.
Good stuff, these guys have really been practicing.
