- With two more videos following behind, we made a trip out this way to pick up something and on the way back, we stopped in Perris, CA in time to check on a steamed up Ventura County Railway #2. In this video, we will showcase the three trains being used which are SP 1474 sporting an M5 sounding horn along with the ATSF baggage combine/HEP car and three Montreal cars on the mainline, Pacific Electric 717 running on the loop line and Ventura County Railway #2 2-6-2 spending several hours outside getting checked up after being stored for sometime. The engine would eventually be able to make a run up to Pinacate from shed 4 near the end of the day while bugs were being worked out. It seems they only got worse the next day and had to cancel runs with VC 2 the next day.
Thanks for Watching

SP 1474 got his horn replaced!
Great video! Would you happen to know why they took off the A200 on 1474?
Sadly I am unsure why the horn was swapped but thanks.
I never see 1474 on display. Is it hidden in barn 7? Didn’t see it when I last had the privilege of being in there.
Most likely, yes.

What Horn Does SP 1474 Have?
I assume now a M5 of some sort. Had a A1000 for a while prior. Not entirely sure though. -Jon

JonRailsVideos I also thought that Southern California Railway Museum hat shutdown, just like some of the others in Southern California.
Because of the order of our governor
It should be. This was shot a month ago on Nov 21st as stated in video title.
