Deacon was the solid foundation of the show. The calm in the middle of a crazy storm. I love every single one of these characters but Deacon holds a special place in everyone’s heart
Yep. He was the most grounded character on the show. A dependable friend. Contributed some hilarious one-liners along the way.
I was lucky enough to meet him in Manhattan during lunch on Lafayette street in 2011 I recognized his swagger! Lmao He was very nice

Deacon’s always been one of my favorite characters, right next to Artie! He’s got the best lines!

Straight man in terms of comedy like Bud Abbott was to Lou Costello.
In comedy every character can't be over the top. Seinfeld was the straight man to Kramer's wackiness.

One thing i noticed throughout the 9 seasons, is that Deacon had the patience of a saint, Doug acted like a douche so many times, but that proved how much Deacon cared about Doug, he even spent time with Arthur when necessary, when Deacon got another friend named Doug, he said that he cares about them both.
Deacon is great, but the whole cast is...! I also love Spence, he's soo weird! 🤣
Deacon, Arthur, and Carrie are my favorites of the show.

My favorite was when he was singing Laughter in the rain.
Deacon hasn't aged at all. He looks the same in the last episode as he did in the very first.

Whats really weird is I only saw the actor that plays Deacon once on another show after this show ended. Idk if maybe he got sick of acting or maybe he was set financially and said f off to Hollywood. Wish we couldve seen him on other things. He's a great actor.
