DIRK JOHNSON - SWEET DREAMS - 30 yr Anniversary Version from Play It Again Nashville

Barely 20 yrs old here and just hired by Mike Johnson to play in Bill Anderson's band. My first television show as a part of this band was recorded in 1984 and aired on TNN on a show that unfortunately ran only one season. The original masters were destroyed in a fire that is a tremendous loss I will never understand. Along with those were also lost all of the YOU CAN BE A STAR shows, THE CHARLIE DANIELS ROUNDUP and many other shows I was blessed to be a part of and hoped that my kids would see on television in reruns for years to come. (at least the Nashville Now shows I filled in for Jerry Whitehurst for a few years are still out there). But what a shame to lose these and thus the loss of quality. I'm thankful that most all of the shows I was a part of were preserved on VHS, as grainy as that may be. At least I always tried to keep the best quality copies I could.Recently I found this copy which seems to be a little better quality than the one I had posted here years ago. Thanks Bill and thanks Mike for hiring a kid my age back then and giving me a career I could've never dreamed of!

I've always love your playing on the piano. I first noticed you when you played with the Original Hinsons way back in the early 1980s. I am a huge fan of the Hinsons, even to the younger generation of the Hinsons. God bless you Dirk, God gave you the talent for playing the way you do.
