I used to play ele shaman at the start, man it was so fun, it is a really enjoyable spec. It does fall off later on but the fun doesn't stop. Did it from start to finish no regrets. Like he said just play what you like, it doesn't matter unless you want to compete with the top 1%.
ele is garbage why play ele when theres spellhance which is the same spells and more, aoe is garbage and boss dps is the weakest with frost. play what u like but dont expect to be taken seriously for hard modes and heroic raids. sunwell is already destroying weak specs hard, ulduar hm is even worse
@@MrFree-vj8qj Except that ele is not a bad dps. It's simply less good than mage, hunter, rogue and lock. Classic Andies malding over people not playing the top 3 specs is always amusing. Ele is perfectly capable of clearing every content in wrath.
Do note, that the spell damage from the totem of wrath is added to the demo lock's SP before the 10% raid buff from demo, meaning that 10% of the ToW is added to the entire raid through the buff (demo buff overrides the ToW).
@@MrFree-vj8qj What's a serious guild though? The few who run for world first? Yeah, those will min-max to the teeth. The one with extremely good players who play together for ages and regularly compete for server firsts will absoluteley have no problem bringing the good players in the weeker specs. Only the mid to bellow-mid tier guilds will really enforce those min-max spec comps because they think that's the only reason why they are not among the good guilds whereas the real reason is that they just are not that good players themselves.
I have the best gaming memories playing my warrior, most of it was in 3.3.5 decking full ARP gear as a prot warrior in PvP was freaking incredible. I will never forget that time and i will probably not recapture that feeling ever again, as i times change and i have changed. But boy is it great to reminisce.
Lol probably not. I remember playing rouge and just running when a warrior came. Rouge’s would open up on them and tear them down to like 20% but once the cc chain was over the warrior would just punish them lol. Unless warrior was crap gear. I played mostly mage and hated rouge’s cause I wouldn’t even be able to do anything. I’m just dead in a second. So I got enjoyment watching them get crushed by warrior’s. Like sure your leather was good for us squishy cloth classes. But that plates going to crush you.

The best take home from this is wotlk really is the moment you can play what you want, let's be honest 99.9% of us want be going for anything mind blowing ly difficult to the point we need the "meta" for raid groups. Play what you like bring a balanced raid group you will clear most content. And for those that then start with the what about HM achieves and difficult bosses, what about them? Perfect groups are generally only needed early on or for poor performing players, if you need an absolutely optimised group to clear something you should probably look at your raiders performance before the meta lists. Pugs clear content that tells you all you need to know about how required min maxing is. Great video and really highlighted this is the fun expansion where we can play what we like and still feel unique
I remember my little brother solo healing a 25 man as a rest (WITH ONE EFFING HAND!) druid in wotlk. That is 100% What I'll be choosing. If I remember right, lifebloom could be applied to multiple targets and restores mana after it expires. Thats how he did it.
Great vid. Preety much summs the classes up . Id just argue that difference in the end will be a few k's . not hundreds. The better the player higher the gap. It will start at 3 - 3,5 k early on in nax (assa rogue compared to fury warr) and end in 8-10k in late icc (fire mage to ele shamy ) . Other than that , beautifully put , great vid.
I started back in the day as a warlock, so I’m excited to see how it plays since all I would do was spam shadow bolt and wonder why I was getting kicked from raids 😂

Wotlk is just the sweetspot.. you got class identity - so much flavour, not everyone can do everything and is dependent on one another, which opens up for more niche play. Niches are fun, it spice things up and it helps the game not being generic. A total balance game is rarely fun, but you don’t want it broken either.. wotlk just hits so many nails.. ashame most of the staff had an exodus right about the Activision acquisition.
This is why Vanilla > Burning Crusade > Wrath of the Lich King is the triple combo, the classic WoW triptych that can't be beaten. It was made with passion by the right people, at the right time, and smashed it. It's been downhill every expansion since.
"not everyone can do everything" but it also had enough so that you could still contribute. let's say for AoE as an example my enhancement shaman had a magma totem + could do a hasty chain lightning. not optimal but still helpful. or in emergency could get a free chain heal.
I'll probably be going ele shaman and then rerolling resto spec in ICC. Also, i'm glad you mentioned the warlock execute phase. So many youtubers overlook that and assume affliction is going to be just as good as it is on private servers. Fights have proven time and time again to be much shorter on Classic than on private. It'll still have high damage but not as high as they expect.
ele is garbage, no reason to play it over spellhance, even your ulti thunderstorm is completely useless, cant believe ppl still go for it, destro is a meme not because of dmg but it brings nothing at all. affli pumps in only 40sec lol, you'd think it needs long fights but no, long fights just take it from top 5 to n1. and it heals for 20% of its dps while demo takes 20% less dmg.

Damage may be one of the LOWER ones, but it's never going to be "garbage" simply due to how WotLK is balanced. As for Thunderstorm being useless, i'm sure you'll be one of the people I blow off the naxx platform with it on your raid night. Try not to complain about getting punked on by Ele in PvP too.
Just jumping in here to say you're the best WoW Classic UA-camr I've come across by a mile and a half. Thanks for all the great content and tips. One request as a newer player who's never maxed a char until TBC Classic, missed the boat back in the day... I'm probably in a minority of people playing classic, but some more basic stuff that's less focused on high-end end-game content (raids etc) would be really great. E.g. Some videos that go into the style of play for different specs pre-raid in WotLK, more profession stuff that's not focused on the max stats gains, but on elements of professions that would be interesting to people who haven't levelled them before and aren't just seeking the minmax benefit of one or two items or maximum goldmaking. Reckon it's a minority, but a largeish minority of players who would really dig this sort of non-minmax focused content.
ps: I appreciate that it must be hard to see the game from the perspective of someone who's never played before TBC Classic, but seriously reckon this type of approach could be really popular. Too often youtubers (and to be fair I wouldn't include you in this as you do cover this side of things in your videos) focus the content around raiding and minmaxing. But it seems weird to me, as that community has played for years, and often on private servers. Seems like the content creators are preaching to the choir a bit. Whereas, for example, I had no idea watching tons of videos what it was actually like to play a certain class, so had to do it old school and try it myself, leveling to 40 or so before realising it wasn't for me. More fundamental content for noobs as people are coming back for wrath could be great.
I've searched for a guide for DK's (much like your video guides on what's changing with other classes) but can't find anything that goes in-depth. I think it'd be sick to see you make a comprehensive DK Guide
As someone who has raided semi hardcore throughout a bunch of the big private Wotlk servers, there’s a couple specs that are gonna be needed more than most. Because of VoA most run a class only 17 person run, so off classes like boom, enhance, feral all that are still someone what needed. Affliction warlocks are the most sought out due to amazing raid utility and the “drain soul” ability. A lot of semi hardcore guilds also range stack as much as possible. Hunters come second. Everyone will want to play ret/fury but almost all guilds are bringing one each, and that’s most likely somewhat they know. But it is the best expansion for every spec to get a shot, which if you know what you’re doing you’ll be able to find a spot. Disc priests are god tier healers along side a beast holy pally.

I main warlock since i started playing, I remember when Wrath launched and I was absolutely in love with Demo but players back then were so wrapped up in how good Destro was at the end of TBC that they just slept on Demo and would whisper me at the start of an instance saying 'you should think about switching'.. before being absolutely demolished on charts. I cannot wait to get back into Wrath with so much more class knowledge than we had back then.
I've played every single spec in wotlk, you are pretty accurate... I think that affliLock/feral are the hardest spec to master , same for resto druid for healers. Arcane mage/boomy and ret are the easiest
Really I thought arcane mage was much more difficult than fire or frost fire. The mana management was a pain. Where fire and frost/fire it wasn’t really an issue. I just remember restro Druids being impossible to kill in battlegrounds. They would have the flag and there would be 4 people on him and he would just eat it all no problem.
@@w0zy94 i assume you're talking about shadow priest (i always say SP), in pve, it's exreamly easy to play, you have a lot of mobility compared to other ranged dps, and you can skip a lot of boss tactics , in pvp, it's still easier that lock/mage but it can be tricky, you need pvp reflex ofc and you need to know your spells really well
@@forfun6273 resto druid in pvp is easy but fun to play, you have a lot of mobility,CD's... But if you want to play it well you need to know a little bit of feral , because unlike other classes, you can(should) switch to cat or bear sometimes . But in pve, it not exactly hard to play, it's just harder than the other healers, because you mostly relly on hots, so you should know tacts and you have to have a good timing , other than that its really fun to play
I’ve been doing my best to research Frost DJ’s over the past year to get ready for WotLK. I believe the best dps early on is 2h frost then swapping over to DW in trial of the crusader.
Unholy was insane. Feel like blood was later on in the expansion. And used frost to tank in the beginning. But I have a hard time remembering. I think blood dk in the beginning was the only spec that was sub par. But yeah DK was beast all expansion. It was their expansion.

everytime i try out new classes or choose a class to main it always ends up being hunter. being able to attack from a safe distance while on the move with a bow is great.

Decided to come back in 2023 to see how it lived up to reality. I'm resto druid main. Disc and I dominate meters and our Resto/x2 hpala don't even come close. In both Ulduar and Naxx. I'm also getting Valanyr. x2 25 lockouts and only got 3 shards (w/o Yogg)
I made a flash of light hpal in wrath and legit they are obnoxiously broken. People would prejudge me bc my mana pool was super low. But that didn't matter bc I had a .9 cast time with 55% crit chance that could crit your entire health pool.
If i understand right, the only raid-wide buff that feral druids give is the 5% crit, which can also be given by a fury warrior. So am I griefing by playing a feral cat when I could just be a fury warrior instead? Give the same buff and do more damage.
So amazingly hyped for DK! It’s all I and one of my friends can talk about! I’ll be DK, unholy/blood and he’s gonna be a midget fidget spinner. He’s excited for his Byrntol axe. Funny enough i just started using it again (literally in the last week) i stopped using it when i started gaming on my mac when i was away from home because it had zero support for it but i travel far less now again so getting back to the tartarus, would recommend 100%.

I'm glad you said people sleep on the power of the Holy Priest, because this is very much my experience too. People seveeeerely underestimate Holy Priests for some reason. I saw it happen a lot when Wrath was live, and based on the way people have been talking, it's looking like it's going to happen again. I felt like an absolute god for the entirety of Wrath as Holy and the sheer amount of carrying I did across the expansion was insane. If you'd asked me at the time, I legit might have said I think they're the best all-round healer in the game. The thought never even crossed my mind that Holy Priests could be perceived as weak, so looking at guides and people's opinions after all these years where suddenly everyone's coming out acting like Holy Priests are weak or underwhelming or something and will be the first healer to get benched... it legit feels like history has been rewritten or something, it's such a bizarre feeling. WotLK Holy Priest in the right hands is crazy, man. You have the biggest toolkit by far with a tool for every situation, and some new Wrath talents give amazing synergy between spells in your toolkit - and everything you do just feels so satisfying. Sure, on paper you may not be able to hot as well as a resto druid, tank heal as well as a paladin or throw out a smart heal on a stacked group as well as a shaman, but the ability to do everything is extremely powerful in the right hands. They're also one of the more mobile healers and can move a lot without losing much once things get chaotic, which is something a lot of people don't seem to consider.
They're not bad, they're just worse than Paladins and Disc. Let's not even talk about how overpowered shielding as a concept is, they also bring less utility and Pain Sup is probably the best external in the entire game. They're also less mobile than disc. Idk how it will be in classic but some tank hits weren't even survivable without disc shields and externals.
@@ninolinoyt Ehh, I wouldn't even call Disc better overall, it just fills a different niche. That's not to downplay the power of shields in a lot of situations, but a lot of people talk as if Disc is just flat out better across the board in all situations, when that isn't really the case. When people look back on Wrath, I think they tend to remember the fights like Heroic Lich King where Disc was basically mandatory and was too good not to have. What they tend to forget is all those ticking damage fights where if you're a Disc priest, you're essentially just shielding each raid member one at a time and slightly delaying their damage intake for a couple seconds before it continues, which feels pretty underwhelming. Disc is one of those specs that supplements other healers well, but has trouble standing on its own two feet. If everything's completely under control and is going smoothly - and you can trust your other healers in that moment - that's great, but when things get crazy, everyone's low and you need to catch up, or if you're ever in a situation where you have to carry, Holy has the tools to pull off insane things in a way that Disc kind of doesn't.
Its so wild to see how far disc has come from one of the easiest specs in the entire game to play to one of the most interesting and complicated healers in retail
@@Drakshl yes and no. Bloating a class just for the hell of it does not always make a person better. However a good paladin will shine but you have to manage all those cds and now when to use them properly.
Destruction lock is very powerful t7 and t8. And it has some of the highest priority damage later on in t10 (professor putricide oozes) they are VERY STRONG IN PROFESSOR!
@Dobius LA that’s because no one who’s decent try’s it. They assume the game has been “mastered”’and don’t try new things. The spec pumps. Have one of your best locks try it in nax

@@Shannendetro destro is still very viable in wrath. people are idiots if they think its not but looking at logs in top 90 percentile (best of the best) affliction and demo are higher but numbers arent that far off enough to matter imo. Ive thought about still rolling destro into wrath.
Something I wanted to ask is in the the beginning of the video your killed whatever those purple voidwalkers are called in the Nexus but do you have to que that or what because in my Dad's blizzlike private server I play you can't kill them at all thank you🙂
If I remember correctly, Blizzard removed Armor Pen at the end of WotLK. So if they use the final patch as a threshold (in the name of balance), then just play mutilate rogue, arcane mage.
In WotLK, Frost was the DK's TANK spec, Blood was DPS. DKs were OP in any spec, but that was Blizzard's initial plan. Blood only became the official tank spec, and Frost a DPS one, from Cataclysm onwards.
@@Scottejaye Well, that part of speccing was actually something I enjoyed quite a bit, but as I remember it, you most often than not picked from two of the specs (hardly ever from all three) and always went much deeper into one of them, because the final ability was very much always awesome (at least compared to the rest of the earlier tier talents on any spec). So, yeah, I see what you're saying, but you did, by placing your talent points, end up picking one (very main) spec, and that's what I was talking about.

In the original wotlk I was a frost mage..it was fun..I have now in retail I'm a void elf destro warlock.its fun..I want to try arcane but I remember I was always oom on longer fights which is frustrating..hunters are fun..I was a bm hunter loved collecting different pets..I have also been a bal druid.. shape shifting is soo much fun love it..I wanted to attempt to play an elemental shaman or a shadow priest..(I prefer ranged DPS)..we will see.idk..right now what I will choose
I appreciate the move to start at the start rather than faffing about with an intro that no one really needs assuming they read the title. It was slightly jarring for the first few seconds as it breaks the standard, but a welcome change nonetheless
I agree with you at the end! Tier lists have made TBC only care about Destruction Warlocks and BM Hunters, not many try the challenge of feral druids and other underperforming classes. But that's all part of the fun for me 😊
feral as dps and tank is how its played in tbc and is a top class for sunwell. weak specs get destroyed in sunwell and it doesnt change in wrath's heroics or hard modes.
You should make a video about vanilla raid soloing. WOTLK is the point where some specs become capable of killing some old raid bosses, and it's decent gold.

The best take home from this is wotlk really is the moment you can play what you want, let's be honest 99.9% of us want be going for anything mind blowing ly difficult to the point we need the "meta" for raid groups. Play what you like bring a balanced raid group you will clear most content. And for those that then start with the what about HM achieves and difficult bosses, what about them? Perfect groups are generally only needed early on or for poor performing players, if you need an absolutely optimised group to clear something you should probably look at your raiders performance before the meta lists. Pugs clear content that tells you all you need to know about how required min maxing is. Great video and really highlighted this is the fun expansion where we can play what we like and still feel unique
I remember my little brother solo healing a 25 man as a rest (WITH ONE EFFING HAND!) druid in wotlk. That is 100% What I'll be choosing. If I remember right, lifebloom could be applied to multiple targets and restores mana after it expires. Thats how he did it.

Great vid. Preety much summs the classes up . Id just argue that difference in the end will be a few k's . not hundreds. The better the player higher the gap. It will start at 3 - 3,5 k early on in nax (assa rogue compared to fury warr) and end in 8-10k in late icc (fire mage to ele shamy ) . Other than that , beautifully put , great vid.

Wotlk is just the sweetspot.. you got class identity - so much flavour, not everyone can do everything and is dependent on one another, which opens up for more niche play. Niches are fun, it spice things up and it helps the game not being generic. A total balance game is rarely fun, but you don’t want it broken either.. wotlk just hits so many nails.. ashame most of the staff had an exodus right about the Activision acquisition.
This is why Vanilla > Burning Crusade > Wrath of the Lich King is the triple combo, the classic WoW triptych that can't be beaten. It was made with passion by the right people, at the right time, and smashed it. It's been downhill every expansion since.
"not everyone can do everything" but it also had enough so that you could still contribute. let's say for AoE as an example my enhancement shaman had a magma totem + could do a hasty chain lightning. not optimal but still helpful. or in emergency could get a free chain heal.

I'll probably be going ele shaman and then rerolling resto spec in ICC. Also, i'm glad you mentioned the warlock execute phase. So many youtubers overlook that and assume affliction is going to be just as good as it is on private servers. Fights have proven time and time again to be much shorter on Classic than on private. It'll still have high damage but not as high as they expect.
Yeah, totally agree, and while its negative for affliction and demo with shorter fights, it would benefit destruction.
ele is garbage, no reason to play it over spellhance, even your ulti thunderstorm is completely useless, cant believe ppl still go for it, destro is a meme not because of dmg but it brings nothing at all. affli pumps in only 40sec lol, you'd think it needs long fights but no, long fights just take it from top 5 to n1. and it heals for 20% of its dps while demo takes 20% less dmg.

Damage may be one of the LOWER ones, but it's never going to be "garbage" simply due to how WotLK is balanced. As for Thunderstorm being useless, i'm sure you'll be one of the people I blow off the naxx platform with it on your raid night. Try not to complain about getting punked on by Ele in PvP too.

Just jumping in here to say you're the best WoW Classic UA-camr I've come across by a mile and a half. Thanks for all the great content and tips. One request as a newer player who's never maxed a char until TBC Classic, missed the boat back in the day... I'm probably in a minority of people playing classic, but some more basic stuff that's less focused on high-end end-game content (raids etc) would be really great. E.g. Some videos that go into the style of play for different specs pre-raid in WotLK, more profession stuff that's not focused on the max stats gains, but on elements of professions that would be interesting to people who haven't levelled them before and aren't just seeking the minmax benefit of one or two items or maximum goldmaking. Reckon it's a minority, but a largeish minority of players who would really dig this sort of non-minmax focused content.
ps: I appreciate that it must be hard to see the game from the perspective of someone who's never played before TBC Classic, but seriously reckon this type of approach could be really popular. Too often youtubers (and to be fair I wouldn't include you in this as you do cover this side of things in your videos) focus the content around raiding and minmaxing. But it seems weird to me, as that community has played for years, and often on private servers. Seems like the content creators are preaching to the choir a bit. Whereas, for example, I had no idea watching tons of videos what it was actually like to play a certain class, so had to do it old school and try it myself, leveling to 40 or so before realising it wasn't for me. More fundamental content for noobs as people are coming back for wrath could be great.

Diving straight into the content. I love it.
As someone who has raided semi hardcore throughout a bunch of the big private Wotlk servers, there’s a couple specs that are gonna be needed more than most. Because of VoA most run a class only 17 person run, so off classes like boom, enhance, feral all that are still someone what needed. Affliction warlocks are the most sought out due to amazing raid utility and the “drain soul” ability. A lot of semi hardcore guilds also range stack as much as possible. Hunters come second. Everyone will want to play ret/fury but almost all guilds are bringing one each, and that’s most likely somewhat they know. But it is the best expansion for every spec to get a shot, which if you know what you’re doing you’ll be able to find a spot. Disc priests are god tier healers along side a beast holy pally.
Feral/resto druid, fun for good dps and solo healing 10 mans

so much information but its never overwhelming, great video! I main warlock since i started playing, I remember when Wrath launched and I was absolutely in love with Demo but players back then were so wrapped up in how good Destro was at the end of TBC that they just slept on Demo and would whisper me at the start of an instance saying 'you should think about switching'.. before being absolutely demolished on charts. I cannot wait to get back into Wrath with so much more class knowledge than we had back then.

I've played every single spec in wotlk, you are pretty accurate... I think that affliLock/feral are the hardest spec to master , same for resto druid for healers. Arcane mage/boomy and ret are the easiest
and what about SHP? easy/hard?
Really I thought arcane mage was much more difficult than fire or frost fire. The mana management was a pain. Where fire and frost/fire it wasn’t really an issue. I just remember restro Druids being impossible to kill in battlegrounds. They would have the flag and there would be 4 people on him and he would just eat it all no problem.
Resto druid was my first class/spec and it was dope yo the mobility and rejuves like yea dude
@@w0zy94 i assume you're talking about shadow priest (i always say SP), in pve, it's exreamly easy to play, you have a lot of mobility compared to other ranged dps, and you can skip a lot of boss tactics , in pvp, it's still easier that lock/mage but it can be tricky, you need pvp reflex ofc and you need to know your spells really well
@@forfun6273 resto druid in pvp is easy but fun to play, you have a lot of mobility,CD's... But if you want to play it well you need to know a little bit of feral , because unlike other classes, you can(should) switch to cat or bear sometimes . But in pve, it not exactly hard to play, it's just harder than the other healers, because you mostly relly on hots, so you should know tacts and you have to have a good timing , other than that its really fun to play

I’ve been doing my best to research Frost DJ’s over the past year to get ready for WotLK. I believe the best dps early on is 2h frost then swapping over to DW in trial of the crusader.

Unholy was insane. Feel like blood was later on in the expansion. And used frost to tank in the beginning. But I have a hard time remembering. I think blood dk in the beginning was the only spec that was sub par. But yeah DK was beast all expansion. It was their expansion.

Decided to come back in 2023 to see how it lived up to reality.
I'm resto druid main. Disc and I dominate meters and our Resto/x2 hpala don't even come close. In both Ulduar and Naxx. I'm also getting Valanyr. x2 25 lockouts and only got 3 shards (w/o Yogg)
I made a flash of light hpal in wrath and legit they are obnoxiously broken. People would prejudge me bc my mana pool was super low. But that didn't matter bc I had a .9 cast time with 55% crit chance that could crit your entire health pool.
If i understand right, the only raid-wide buff that feral druids give is the 5% crit, which can also be given by a fury warrior.
So am I griefing by playing a feral cat when I could just be a fury warrior instead? Give the same buff and do more damage.
Plus FF, mangle, tranq, innervate for your arcane mage, tranq for a CD rotation. Druid is the way mate 🙏

Funny enough i just started using it again (literally in the last week) i stopped using it when i started gaming on my mac when i was away from home because it had zero support for it but i travel far less now again so getting back to the tartarus, would recommend 100%.

I'm glad you said people sleep on the power of the Holy Priest, because this is very much my experience too. People seveeeerely underestimate Holy Priests for some reason. I saw it happen a lot when Wrath was live, and based on the way people have been talking, it's looking like it's going to happen again.
I felt like an absolute god for the entirety of Wrath as Holy and the sheer amount of carrying I did across the expansion was insane. If you'd asked me at the time, I legit might have said I think they're the best all-round healer in the game. The thought never even crossed my mind that Holy Priests could be perceived as weak, so looking at guides and people's opinions after all these years where suddenly everyone's coming out acting like Holy Priests are weak or underwhelming or something and will be the first healer to get benched... it legit feels like history has been rewritten or something, it's such a bizarre feeling.
WotLK Holy Priest in the right hands is crazy, man. You have the biggest toolkit by far with a tool for every situation, and some new Wrath talents give amazing synergy between spells in your toolkit - and everything you do just feels so satisfying. Sure, on paper you may not be able to hot as well as a resto druid, tank heal as well as a paladin or throw out a smart heal on a stacked group as well as a shaman, but the ability to do everything is extremely powerful in the right hands. They're also one of the more mobile healers and can move a lot without losing much once things get chaotic, which is something a lot of people don't seem to consider.
They're not bad, they're just worse than Paladins and Disc. Let's not even talk about how overpowered shielding as a concept is, they also bring less utility and Pain Sup is probably the best external in the entire game. They're also less mobile than disc. Idk how it will be in classic but some tank hits weren't even survivable without disc shields and externals.
@@ninolinoyt Ehh, I wouldn't even call Disc better overall, it just fills a different niche. That's not to downplay the power of shields in a lot of situations, but a lot of people talk as if Disc is just flat out better across the board in all situations, when that isn't really the case.
When people look back on Wrath, I think they tend to remember the fights like Heroic Lich King where Disc was basically mandatory and was too good not to have. What they tend to forget is all those ticking damage fights where if you're a Disc priest, you're essentially just shielding each raid member one at a time and slightly delaying their damage intake for a couple seconds before it continues, which feels pretty underwhelming.
Disc is one of those specs that supplements other healers well, but has trouble standing on its own two feet. If everything's completely under control and is going smoothly - and you can trust your other healers in that moment - that's great, but when things get crazy, everyone's low and you need to catch up, or if you're ever in a situation where you have to carry, Holy has the tools to pull off insane things in a way that Disc kind of doesn't.
Shaman was so much fun back in the days. Playing it again.
Its so wild to see how far disc has come from one of the easiest specs in the entire game to play to one of the most interesting and complicated healers in retail
That is almost all the specs. Make things more complicated with more buttons just to make the game more difficult to play at its max.

Destruction lock is very powerful t7 and t8. And it has some of the highest priority damage later on in t10 (professor putricide oozes) they are VERY STRONG IN PROFESSOR!

@@Shannendetro destro is still very viable in wrath. people are idiots if they think its not but looking at logs in top 90 percentile (best of the best) affliction and demo are higher but numbers arent that far off enough to matter imo. Ive thought about still rolling destro into wrath.
Something I wanted to ask is in the the beginning of the video your killed whatever those purple voidwalkers are called in the Nexus but do you have to que that or what because in my Dad's blizzlike private server I play you can't kill them at all thank you🙂
If I remember correctly, Blizzard removed Armor Pen at the end of WotLK. So if they use the final patch as a threshold (in the name of balance), then just play mutilate rogue, arcane mage.

I've never been outdamaged by an unholy dk, since launch and private servers.
Frost dk can also solo teams in 2v2, cause I did, often.
I’ve seen unholy DKs do ridiculous damage and in less gear out dmg frost

In WotLK, Frost was the DK's TANK spec, Blood was DPS.
DKs were OP in any spec, but that was Blizzard's initial plan. Blood only became the official tank spec, and Frost a DPS one, from Cataclysm onwards.
In WotlK you hybrid between blood and frost mate, you go pretty deep in both
Blood was a top tier dps spec. Frost and Unholy were both a lil worse. Frost was the best tank spec.
Are we talking about the same expansion here 😂 even with full ARP in ICC you’ll still see next to no blood DPS. It’s phenomenal in PvP though.
@@Scottejaye Well, that part of speccing was actually something I enjoyed quite a bit, but as I remember it, you most often than not picked from two of the specs (hardly ever from all three) and always went much deeper into one of them, because the final ability was very much always awesome (at least compared to the rest of the earlier tier talents on any spec).
So, yeah, I see what you're saying, but you did, by placing your talent points, end up picking one (very main) spec, and that's what I was talking about.

In the original wotlk I was a frost mage..it was fun..I have now in retail I'm a void elf destro warlock.its fun..I want to try arcane but I remember I was always oom on longer fights which is frustrating..hunters are fun..I was a bm hunter loved collecting different pets..I have also been a bal druid.. shape shifting is soo much fun love it..I wanted to attempt to play an elemental shaman or a shadow priest..(I prefer ranged DPS)..we will see.idk..right now what I will choose

I agree with you at the end! Tier lists have made TBC only care about Destruction Warlocks and BM Hunters, not many try the challenge of feral druids and other underperforming classes. But that's all part of the fun for me 😊
feral as dps and tank is how its played in tbc and is a top class for sunwell. weak specs get destroyed in sunwell and it doesnt change in wrath's heroics or hard modes.
