Having watched some other videos on his story he did end up getting chased out of Mondstadt by his brother and lived out the rest of his years in Liyue. She also had a lot of conflicting feelings about him too. To her he left randomly without any explanation and she found herself still angry for what happened to her after he gave her the gem that she got punished by her master for, but still must have loved him.

My thought too. Liyue Timelapse in a span of thousands years I don’t think there’s anyone else that lives in Liyue longer than Zhongli. Guizhong with her puzzle box is also sus here. I want to know more I’m so invested in the story. Since the books in my language is so poorly translated due to complications of the language itself which can mislead the whole narrative of the story if you want it to be beautifully written. I f up a quest because of the wording once and I malded so bad when I switched to English and all of the sudden it made sense.
I think the shopkeeper could be from the dandelion sea because Sage (kid outside Mondstadt) says that the dandelion sea is home to "talking foxes" or maybe, people with fox-like features? IF the dandelion sea is actually the sea of flowers from travail like you said, flowers that are native to Khanri'ah, that would mean the dandelion sea is in Khanri'ah, and therefore the shopkeeper can simultaneously be from the dandelion sea and Khanri'ah, like you theorized.
