Lol. You're funny. I really enjoy your commentary in between everything. Something I appreciate with your tutorials is that u put the chords on screen. As a beginner that is super helpful. Haven't seen that on other tutorials. Thank u!
Brian, I'm very grateful to you for the lesson. That's good, and simple, and clear. May God bless you for your work. I'll be watching your next lessons!)
Here is an explanation of the chords: The names are technical but anyone who doesn't know them can google images of each as there are several available chord arrangements. This progression is also what he's playing as he sings this: "My heart will sing..."(Capo 4)G5-Em7-D/F#-Cadd9. The progression changes but these are the technical names if anyone needs to know. Hope this helps at least one guitarist. we're all in this together. Seek and you will find.
hey brother in Christ!, greetings from the Philippines! --great breaking down of the chords, tuning it down half-step and how it is being played! salute to you sir!... even if it's kinda practice thing but still am lifting my hand watching this video, of course because of the lyrics... i remember the first time i got your video, 'this i believe' (the creed) also from hillsong, we watched it on our music team's practice day, and we found it very helpful! i thank you for it sir. Oh, also, reading thru the comment boxes below, i smiled, chuckled about it, but one thing also i got in common with one of the post is if you can have a video playing the whole song? with your capo thing... --also with the chords appearing on the side of the video, please? ...it'll be very much appreciated =) thank you...
If anyone struggles with timing. Work with a metronome. Learn the tempo of the song and listen to the metronome 1-2-3-4 or 1and2and3and4and. ETC. Learn to FEEL the 1st and 3rd beats of the tempo. You'll make your own strumming pattern and only people who care too much about that will call you out. ;)
Tyipcally I'll use it because G, C, D, and Em (or chords in another more guitar-friendly key) are a lot easier to play than B, G#m, F#, and E. Sometimes it has to do with the voicing of the chords. Key of G chord voicings sound better to my ear than key of B chord voicings.
"You play it like it sounds". I say that all the time.. Praise The Lord
Amen Bro Brian The Rock is Jesus only One Rock we stand on

Was this your first take? Hope so. Sorry to be so rough. Luv yah. Love the song though, using this vid to practice with.
Sorry just being a bit picky yesterday.
thanks bud
Is there any way to here the whole song played together in this key? Doing this song on a couple of weeks and I'm not too familiar with it
Good job man. But The strum pattern you were playing just wasn't the same every time. It was confusing.

Why do you play your c like you do? Is it okay if I play it the original 3 finger way is that okay?
Jad Gillies is his name
B would be a Half Step down from C :)
What is key of c
Why do you capo ? Why not just play a B chord if you you want the song to be in the key of B ?
Tyipcally I'll use it because G, C, D, and Em (or chords in another more guitar-friendly key) are a lot easier to play than B, G#m, F#, and E. Sometimes it has to do with the voicing of the chords. Key of G chord voicings sound better to my ear than key of B chord voicings.
