Interesting ideas! i have thought about the second one, and i tried implementing it in the 2.2 gdps, but it probably wasn't noticeable those gameplay ideas are pretty interesting and are worth playing around, thanks for sharing them with us!

Random trigger is fine, but probably shouldn't be used in extreme demons since it really sucks to get bad rng in any really hard level that you've dumped a bunch of time into. Even still, I'm always a fan of new novel ways to push the formula in this game.
@@rootbeerfloathaspop3301 on a high tier of play, since everyone has their unique strengths, it's quite hard to balance every section to be the same difficulty. My worry for really hard levels is that the creator will accidentally make it so one of the paths has a timing that becomes a choke point but other paths don't have that. What one person thinks is balanced is often quite different for someone else. I have a friend who's beaten the ships in runs of Bloodlust and Superhatemeworld but gets stuck on hard demons since for some reason he's just disproportionately good at straight fly, and I'd feel bad for a person like him to lose a run because a section that is often gameplay that supports him best is replaced by gameplay he's much weaker at. TL;DR: it's very hard to balance on a really high tier of difficulty since everyone has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Also, is it really "verification" if not all paths have been beaten? 🤔 Serious question btw.
Hey I know this has nothing to do with the video but I was wondering do you think using 144 hz compared to 60 is cheating? I recently switched from 60 to 144 and easily beat a easy demon I was stuck on (I'm quite new to the game.) but I didn't feel very accomplished because I thought maybe it was cheating. (Also sorry for the bad english)

I think it’s an awesome feature, and if nothing else it goes really well along with platformer levels

Probably not cheating, everyone seems to be using 300 Hz or more nowadays
