Come to think of it, perhaps Shy Guys are some form of ghost spirit in disguise, or are unidentifiable characters caught in limbo between reality and a dream? This could support the story of the traveler whose diary on Excess Express causes game over if you read it (because if you catch someone in a dream you enter the twilight zone indefinitely and never wake up--maybe a precursor to Underwhere?). Ghost T. might have entered the Minus World by accident, or something went wrong during the transition process from Subcon. Any thoughts?

This game on Switch compared to the N64 console is a cakewalk. Especially with the bank that gives you free coins whenever you need them. Need coins? Just go to the bank and get 950 coins every time. The N64 console version there were never enough coins. Last time I checked my accomplishment chart in Mario's home, I've collected over 8,000 coins thanks to the free coins from the bank. So playing this through on the Switch was a joy compared to the N64 console version.

Great question! It's normally good to do a lot of fights if you're playing the game normally, but in a speedrun you want to avoid all of the fights that you're not supposed to do because if you get too many star points, then you level up in the wrong part of the game! The nice thing about a level up in this game is that it fully heals you, which is really convenient in a spot like the fight fight in the Koopa Bros Fortress, and you can level up there if you avoid all of the fights you don't need before that 👍
