    That’s a good tip to soak bone in cold water and leave it overnight. Thanks

    Very simple and structured recipe. I'm kicking myself a bit as I just did a 12 hour simmer in the oven 🙂
    One question I have on your method: do you make broth twice here? It appears you make initial broth with bones and aromatics and then a second broth in cooking the meat and tendon, while only the second one is visibly seasoned with fish sauce. Do you combine these broths or am I missing something in your steps?

    • @TheCookingIsland
      @TheCookingIsland  2 роки тому +3

      Hi, thanks for asking. I cooked broth in 2 batches because my instant pot is quite small. The 2nd broth is still good because it also gets extract from beef brisket and tendon. You can combine 2 batches broth in the end for 7-8 bowls, just season it with fish sauce to your liking :)

      @@TheCookingIsland I had the same question! I have a massive Instapot. And my preferred meat in Pho is the thin flank steak that they serve at the restaurant. If I skip the Tendon and Brisket part I wont end up with the same results will I?

    How many quarts is your instant pot? Thanks!

    • @TheCookingIsland

      Hi, I used 6.3 qt Instant Pot, but must cook 2 times for the broth ☺️

      Hi, thanks for asking! I’m using 6qt Instant Pot in the recipe 😀

  • @axelbibi27

    Is the 6 quart or 8 quart Instant Pot?

  • @SMychal25
    @SMychal25 Рік тому +1

    I’m confused. Why did you make 2 separate broths? You put the spice ball to cook with the meat and then what? You threw that broth out or mixed it with the other?

    This is way more than just 4 steps. I'll stick with my own 4 step recipe for Pho; go to restaurant, order Pho, eat Pho, pay for Pho.
