While I'm not an extreme minimalist, I do use minimalism as a design tool for our home and for peace of mind. Decluttering, being more intentional about the items we buy and choosing to own less overall, can transform our lives, reduce stress and anxiety, while saving us time, energy and money.

I still watch the 2012 Declutter series when I clean. I repeat less stuff less stress when am decluttering. It’s been a great mantra to remind me.
I do too! At least once a year I watch it when I want to go through my whole house, it's amazing motivation!

I admire your minimal style Christine. I've never seen a woman decide not to have even one dress or skirt before! I like the way that you do you. Women use clothes for emotional fulfillment, but it's never ending. The less I think about clothes, the more peaceful I feel.🌼

this was a lovely and calm video for doing something we all need to do.....also I find that these tips are very helpful for me.....I do tend to hold onto items because of good feelings associated with them - even tho I don't wear them anymore - so this reminded me that its okay to let them go....thanx for this! ♥

That’s me! I love the idea but I am someone who counted over 60 tank tops last year!! I did declutter down to like ten now. But still!
Love the 2-pile method in the beginning. I always have "hate it, bye" and "that's still good", even if I haven't worn it in 10 years 😬

I, too, will go back to your first few declutter videos. The best part of them is your inner dialogue that you shared with us. You were frustrated then disgusted by all that you “collected”! You broke the internet and started others, including me, to let go of the madness of keeping all this stuff!!!

I was in my early twenties in college and drowning in stuff. My family would make me feel so guilty for letting things go even if they had no use of anything I no longer wanted. I saw your decluttering videos, the “Less Stuff, Less Stress” series, and everything just clicked. I let go of most of my stuff and only kept what I loved, and I’m so thankful. My husband and I are more minimal and intentional with our belongings, and it’s made the biggest difference in terms of moving apartments, cleaning, and even what we purchase. I know this is a dramatic comment, but I am so thankful for your content and advice, and you inspired me to go vegetarian and cruelty free as well. Thank you for being you!

I am pretty organized so I haven’t been too inspired by a decluttering video in a long time but I really like this method of dividing the clothes before we make decisions. I’m going to do my closet now!

My closet would have a big pile of what I don’t wear and a small pile of what I wear. I have heard of this and I should try it since my closet is packed!

For the colder season, I had only black pants and jeans. I finally got some tan pants I'd wanted. I then divided my fall/winter stuff into stuff that wd go better with tan and things that wd def' go best with black. I have 2 very narrow closets, so now I can 'closet shop' in 2 dif spots. It's made things so much easier!

My first declutter round was huge. My 2e was big and the next ones are still bigger then I expect. If I knew when I was younger I defenetly would made sure I had a lot less items. Not nesesairly clothes but just stuff and sentimental items.

I love how you have an all year around closet, I'm over seeing seasonal small closets that would actually be hugely full of similar stuff if all stored in one space there could be 10 similar black T-shirts like 3 for summer 3 for spring 2 for winter 2 for fall and realistically it could be cut by half if not more.

I would sew up my favorite shirt I wore all last year.
Haha so many I thought "no that's cute keep it or give it a try". Thought that bright minty top would look great with white pants or shorts too. Personally, I keep old stuff that have some small holes just to wear around the house, for PJs, or for cleaning. I get attached and can't just toss quickly without thinking lol.
This is one of the best closet decluttering videos that I have ever watched and I have definitely watched more than a thousand - no exaggeration here😅 (they are my favs). It includes the best tips for the decluttering process and helps reminding oneself of why you don’t need to buy more clothes. And it is also very aesthetically pleasing to watch and I also like your calming voice☺️ Thank you so much for it!

I admire you for being able to have less and just be clutter free. I always want to keep items and store them away in case I want to wear them again. I may do this one day though...it will be a big change for me 😊❤ I have about 12 coats and 15 jackets...you have one. See, that would be hard for me 😂❤

I am always interested in your declutter Videos. Even this is far far faaaar away from my own Lifestyle. I Keep stuff in forever with choice. I know i 5 Years this Thing will be back in style or fit me sizewise better... i my climate we go from really cold to freaking hot and everything in between and you never know if you wear Thick sweater for 6 month or light sweater for 8 month 😄 i have around 50 sweaters and "need" them all 😄
We all really need to declutter we are constantly shopping for new things we forget what we already have
