    You truly are an amazing guy,
    wanted to tell you that if all teachers were like you the world would be a much greater place.

      Aw thank youu, I think I would be a good language teacher too, but I don't know if I would be able to survive 30 years covering the exact same material. We definitely need a change

    I love the way you worded some of the sentences,
    "If you could meet the elf one last time" "you are the world's greatest detective after all" "but there was a secret mission he didnt talk you about"
    It sounds like a mystery romance lol

    Are you being serious, I love Thranduil. Yes he is a cold person, but there's a reason for that. I swear he is a good soul.

      @@Artreii yes basiclly, people have think leolas the child since he was the only one that was shown as thranduil son, but watch the hobbit as the dwarfs are locked in prison in mirkwood, I spotted a girl that has white, the only white hair elves would only be legolas family, Still She might come out, without us seeing her, Like an easter egg

    That's what I've tried to translate myself, once. Ya know the good phrase "God be with you" or 'God bless you'.
    Similar to 4:09 I guess. So what would that be? I know Illuvatar is something of a "God", as in the highest, but I've seen the name Eru come by several times too.
    So which will it be, mellon nin?

    • @Artreii

      On Parf Edhellen I found the word "balan", which you can substitute in the place of "i Melain" and you've got yourself a sentence similar to what you may want (divine power and stuff), applicable definitely in more situations. Hope it helps ^^

    • @Vikingr4Jesus5919
      @Vikingr4Jesus5919 3 роки тому

      @@Artreii Ah yes I see.
      Eru stands for 'the one God''. I reckon that one works even better.
      Thanks for the effort though!

    • @Gilruin
      @Gilruin 3 роки тому +1

      You can't use balan 'power' it's just where i Melain came from in the first place (balan, pl. belain like adan, pl. edain and nasal mutation b > m. Furthermore I think that prepositions use the oblique form of pronouns, so na len (cf. ammen rather than am me). So 'God be with you' would be _no Eru/Iladar na len/chin_ depending on whether you are close with the other person (chin) or you want to be formal (len). Iladar is a Sindarin translation of Quenya Ilúv(e)-atar 'all-father'.

    • @Vikingr4Jesus5919
      @Vikingr4Jesus5919 3 роки тому

      @@Gilruin So, basically,
      no Eru na len
      or
      no Iladar na len/then?
      What's the difference between len/then?

    • @Gilruin
      @Gilruin 3 роки тому +1

      @@Vikingr4Jesus5919 both versions can use len (from le) or chin (from ci, _then_ was an error on my part, it would have been 'he/she/it"). Sindarin much like French (vouz vs tu) or German (Sie vs Du) distinguishes between formal (le) and informal (ci) you and you need to decide which one is the appropriate one to adress the other: You'd use the formal one for strangers, people who are much older than you or authorities to be polite and it would be rude to do otherwise. The informal you is used to adress friends to indicate that you are close with them and using the formal one is likewise rude, in this case you would push them away from your metaphorically speaking. And then there is the arkward situation when you know someone better but don't want to be friends with that person and both pronouns are wrong...
      As a rule of thumb in a situation where you wouldn't be comfortable saying 'dude, what's up' an informal pronoun isn't safe either, however as an exception it is usually used with family members and when addressing God directly. The hospital setting in the video defiantly calls for formal len.
