Hi Marina! I haven't watched your videos in a while because I've been busy working on my master thesis. I graduated some days ago and I finally have time to watch all the videos I missed. I really enjoyed this video on arpeggios and loved the editing as well, it was very easy to follow! Thank you for all the content you put out here and enjoy your summer
This is great. And absolutely doable. It the time of the year when I am going on a one week long pianoless vacation. But I know what I´ll be doing when I get back home 🙂
Sounds amazing.. Thank you.. I Would love to understand why sounds great, which chords are. these, and lthe ogic in the progresion there is behind so I know waht i am doing and can remember, aply it in another keys...etc..... Playing the keys like a parrot just by imitation does not help me to remember things.
You're very welcome! And you're right - it's much better to have an understanding of what you're doing than to parrot someone else. I teach all of this stuff in my membership site. You can check it out here: bit.ly/3Z7GyEQ
You change the pedal when the left hand plays a new note. I have a pedaling tutorial on my channel that will teach you a lot about pedaling. You can use the search feature to find it.
Amazing. This works on any scale, right? All one has to do is to play chords from the harmonic field of the chosen scale, right? But, is there a specific order on using them? A rule? Tip? Or just feeling? How one can determine which chord succeeds a chord? And when one knows/determine if it is possible to insert a chord from another scale, as we can notice in many pieces? Is there also a rule?
Hi Stanley! Great questions! In this particular video, I teach you a 4-chord arpeggio progression in the key of A minor. I left out long explanations so that I could just teach the arpeggio. You can play them in the order I give here. I'll have a master class coming soon that will delve into interesting chord progressions you can use to make your own arpeggio combinations.
@@ThePianoKeys thank you. I can't wait for the class. They say music is a story being told, with its ups and downs, tensions and relieves... the choice of the scale is about the feeling one wishes to transmit to the audience... I can feel music, but its hard to express feelings into a song... you do that greacefully with your compositions (relaxing piano songs) and even in simple arpeggios lessons. It's a blessing. You're a blessing to all of us... to the music.
oh i love this and guess what imma gonna be doing after this awesome video is over! BUT WAIT....don't look for mu name on the Marquis in front of Carnage Hall!

Please Miss, when the pedal is used how long do we hold on to it, when to release it? 😮
