Such amazing views! When I visited recently, clouds were covering Seealpsee, so I climbed up to Schafler above the clouds. Hands down my favorite hike in Switzerland (so far)
Hey 😀 way to go! So happy you liked it!!! Do you live in Switzerland 🇨🇭 also try höher Kasten still in Alp Stein try a hike from one cable car to another it’s all on top of the mountain range it is stunning, there is another lake there, sort of similar to seealpsee, very beautiful 😍 I have not posted the video yet, but I will soon. Share other of your favourite hikes would love to know.
@@ATWKate I live in the US, but I visit Europe often and Switzerland is one of my favorite places. I love the scenery on your channel and all of the interesting facts you include! There were a handful of hikes in Appenzell that I loved, but my favorite of Switzerland is in Zermatt! I'm going back in February, maybe I'll have to start my own channel
Great video. Do you know if the Cable car is included in the day / Swiss pass? Also.... how long is the hike don? and how far is the train back to Appenzell? Many thanks!
Happy you liked it. Swiss pass should include the cable car, hike about 4 hours, train 2, or three stops wasseraum to Appenzell but it’s 30 minutes walk or so if you miss the last one from wasseraum
@FF yes roughly 30, 40 so not very close you don’t want to miss the last bus or tram they go until 8 or so, get an SBB app that will make things easier
Kate, your videos are so beautiful, especially this one. Just a suggestion, when you are recording, maybe turn up your volume. I can hardly hear what you are saying. Nice work on another great video.
Hello Cathy 😊 first of all thank you so much for a constructive feedback, I promise I will do my best. I am happy you like my content thank you for letting me know 😉
Mostly yes, the final stretch down is not though, it is really steep, you need to hold a metal cord to go down, it’s ok 👌 a bit hard on the knees, but doesn’t require any special equipment just sturdy boots.
@@ATWKate thank you for your kind answer first of all, I have a one and last question to if you wouldnt mind. If I will use cable car up and down, can I see like traditional and famous restaurant and Seealpsee lake? also I'm searching one lake too which is called Falanse close to Seealpsee. sorry my tonnnnees of messages...

How much time the hike takes?
And how to return back from the lake?
That all depends do you hike up and down or take the cable car, follow yellow signs to Seealpsee.
hey was going from the berghof house to seealpsee easy?
Mostly yes, the final stretch down is not though, it is really steep, you need to hold a metal cord to go down, it’s ok 👌 a bit hard on the knees, but doesn’t require any special equipment just sturdy boots.
may I use cable car for 2 side, i mean up and down
Yes of course they might even insist on it, if it is dangerous to go down they will insist on you buying the return ticket 🎫
