The primary difference between DELTA®-FL and DELTA®-MS is that DELTA®-FL contains 100% virgin polyethylene, whereas DELTA®-MS contains 60% recycled. Using any recycled polyethylene for an interior application brings with it the risk of odors. Recycled plastic can retain the odor or whatever was in it originally, like sour milk or bleach. Whether or not there is odor cannot be controlled in the manufacturing process (meaning it might smell or it might not), but does not matter for exterior below grade use, like with DELTA®-MS. If you want to use any product on the interior, walls or floor, we recommend virgin polyethylene to avoid the chance of odor. Interior wall applications should be done very carefully and made air-tight to prevent the ingress of soil gases and moisture.
