Suits and raft are required for that trip. You wear the suit the entire trip, you will not have time to put it on. I think you can last about 2 minutes in that water without a suit. Glad the wind was low. Great outcome
It's interesting watching the men wave from the life raft, because in scuba diving when you wave your arms like that, it's a sign of distress. Certainly they were just trying to get the attention of the aircraft and they were needing help. Kudos to them for being well prepared.
@@cageordiedistressed as in “immediate danger get me out of the water right now I’m drowning, bleeding out, major injury, fire, etc” Could be wrong but IIRC racing boat drivers who go overboard wave their arms to signal distress - come get me right now, but tap the top of their head to say essentially “I’m okay”.

"Ditching off of Greenland"? Why limit yourself to only one unnecessary preposition when you could use two -"off of of Greenland." -or even three -"off of of Greenland"? Set yourself free: "Ditching off of of of of of of of Greenland"! Much better.
So lucky that the sea state was perfect
I'm impressed that not only did they have the suits and raft but they also must have discussed how to get out of the plane as efficiently as possible!

Living in Grand Prairie, I would have goose bumps if anyone could bless me and pick me up to come meet y'all.
Wow. Incredible job by the pilot. Thank you for the update Dan. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friend 🇺🇸🛩️
Interesting. I would have liked to seen the splash down.
OMG!!! They almost hit an iceberg!!! That was close!🤣
WOW!
It seems to be floating pretty good. I hope his fuel tanks weren't empty(and I know that fuel is lighter than water).
Love your videos
Wow!!!
Hello from Minnesota! Wow! Great job by all involved!!
Great video
Is the camera standard on the Challenger jet?
It`s an Airforce challenger equipped for SAR and environmental patrol missions
I assume Danish Air Force? Where exactly is the electro optical camera mounted on their 604?
@@MB120478 Yes Danish Airforce 723th Transport Wing.
Looks like the camera is on the bottom of the Aircraft, aft of the main gear
Excellent 👍 Thank you to all involved 🇺🇸🇺🇸

You think they weren't "in distress"?

FAA calls the challenger crew: About your video, were you 500 feet away from that raft?
It`s a Royal Danish Airforce Challenger inside Nuuk FIR, so i bet they give a **** what the American FAA has to say about it 😂
👍✅ cudos to all involved👏
Another big Continental down.
The piston Malibu has a Lycoming tio540,so your wrong, again..
@@anthonycyr9657 Oh crap, wrong again.

Meh, there is something funny about the supposed video from a challenger. I want to see the accident report on this.

Clearly AI
I’ve operated remote, exterior cameras, it is clearly a remote exterior camera from the challenger jet
Clearly NOT AI !!!
Phenomenal camera work to get things that well stabilized … perhaps that means it is a stabilized camera? Thanks for posting Dan.
😂 wut?
