A tour de force! I enjoyed it very much. I may not have recognized many of these wonderful paintings as de Kooning's work. Now I have even more to enjoy. Thank you.🖼🧩🤔😒🙄😏👏
It is also a very interesting investigation of form changing every moment, using line and no line, texture and transparency, sharpness and softness to show layers and dimensions of ways of experiencing- and all the time each painting has its own rhythm and tonality as a vibrational song of the now - it is truly amazing and this simple way of showing his works makes it possible to stop and take in an image for a longer time feeling the vibrational power - Thank you for the showing of these great works
I appreciate very much that you show such a big collections of his paintings. Its absolutely interesting for anyone interested in his art. And I agree that it would also have been interesting to have the title of the work and the year...
And it is also very eyeopening to see the way He works around figuration, imagination and total abstraction. His use of colour always seen very interesting and changes from very dynamic and wild to more lyric and poetic tones. He is a wonderfull painter -
yOUR CHANEL IS VERY INTERESTING AND HELPFULL FOR WHO LIKE ART I SUGGEST THAT I THINK IT IS INTERESTIN TO INDICATE ON EVERY IMAGE THE DATE THAT IT WAS MADE AND THE TITLE OF WORK (IF IT HAS) BEST REGARDS FROM ARGENTINA

Keyed me up to an intense vibrato. I've watched and listened to it four times today. The music enraptured me. But I can't find the credit in this tiny screen.
It’s strange to see his works that are not well known some of them were before Basquiat, or were they after?, And other ones were like Gorky, and so he was also being derivative but that doesn’t matter artist always borrow and learn from other artists… And he’s not what you call an abstract painter he paints something from real life any abstracts it it’s not just random Mark making like some people think… People put out videos how to paint abstract art… It’s not just putting fields of color randomly and then putting marks here in there just to make a pretty decoration… That’s not what it is… Everything is planned, everything is thought about and placed in a composition, not random pouring it out of a bucket and spitting it around… Not just choosing random colors and hoping it looks good and making marks here and there… It’s not just about the brushstrokes and thick paint… Some people use a spatula to put paint onto a canvas that’s not better art that’s not meaningful… That’s a waste of paint…… Even though de Kooning had some thicker painting, it wasn’t about the thickness of the paint it was about the colors and what happens when you blend the oil colors together it creates different streaks of color… And all those people putting up videos on “how to paint abstract art quote… Seriously, that’s ridiculous… Especially the ones who aren’t even talented
Very perceptive. Actually it's by me, Lucy Godwin!!!!! Seriously. www.lucygodwinart.com . I painted it after taking a course through MoMA in Abstract Expressionism some years ago. So obviously whoever made this video is not a trained art critic, but thanks for the exposure. And thanks very much for the Basquiat comment as Basquiat is one of my gods.
LearnFromMaster: Me gusta mucho ese tipo de música que pones para ir acompañando estas obras, es muy adecuada y la precisa, pero me surge una duda: ¿Por qué no vas poniendo los títulos de las obras mostradas?
What a sad comment but hey that’s your opinion.. and sadly I think you missed what he was capable of doing… His vision, his style of artwork was so different at the time but in a great way… What he did was real abstract art not just random mark making what people do today, FaceTime it’s OK to pour paint onto a canvas or make random marks and choose random colors just to make it look interesting… Which is not hard… Nor abstract… It’s just bullshit but I guess somebody who thinks Basquiat was wasting paint doesn’t know anything about anything… Especially art or painting
When I look at other art channels, the very great superiority of LearnFromMasters shines out and my gratitude for this channel grows and grows.

The work at 10:40 is actually a portrait of Willem by Elaine de Kooning
You are observant and correct.
Wonderful videos. Would appreciate the addition of the titles of paintings. Thank you.
The comments reflect all this art expresses. Never seen his work before and not an abstract fan. Right now i am.

His choice of color draws me in

Especially the year. I love it but it jumps back and forth across decades and it would be good to have a better idea.
And it is also very eyeopening to see the way He works around figuration, imagination and total abstraction. His use of colour always seen very interesting and changes from very dynamic and wild to more lyric and poetic tones. He is a wonderfull painter -
Awesome paintings.
Love his work
oh oh finaly i understand art.
I love it. I want to paint like that. Some I know I can’t do. So I make it abstract. Awesome paintings . I love colors and themes.
I know I can paint how ever I want. I just wish people would not past the time if they don’t like Art .
Beaucoup de charme et de force mais très inégal dans ses productions.
Why are his paintings so amazing, mesmerizing.
Excellent . Thank you
This was fantasic! Thankyou!
I even like just the black. It is striking. My Twin never did him on his channel. At least he lets me explore on my own.
He does what I try to do!
"he was doing..."

I will never understand how this guy became famous with this work / stuff.
The painting at 2:08 was probably an early work. The painting at 8:05 shows what he was capable of after developing his talents : )

If I painting half of them. People would laugh at them. So what makes them so special
LFM could explore Brazilian painters and their paintings. Cido Oliveira, Jaime Trindade etc.
I love this Artist. I do Abstract Paintings.

Extraordinaire de beauté. J’aimerais avoir la référence pour la musique qui accompagne le vidéo
Keyed me up to an intense vibrato. I've watched and listened to it four times today.
The music enraptured me. But I can't find the credit in this tiny screen.
I’m trying to identify the music also. Kind of a combination of Philip Glass and Eric Satie. A nice feel!
what a great great great painter !!
What exactly is it, what we have to learn, and from what masters? Most watchers are not artists, you know
Tf this is a collection of his work
A pity these are not presented chronologically--a better way to understand his development.
I was wondering about that. Thank you for clearing that up.
Are you sure these are all works by de Kooning? I don't think so. Why are you posting something like this? Answer, please.
Awesome.
Love the music… What is it?
There are some paintings in this video that are not de Kooning

10:08 - The one that was stolen from the University of AZ.
Some of his art is like stroppy child painting, and some of it very good Picasso like
Well that's subjective and depends on how open minded you are when looking at his work.
It depends on how open minded you are.
Some people don’t see it.
sad music for sad and dramatical paintings

This is a joke, like wtf just a slideshow of pictures not all of them even by de kooning over some stock piano noise? and you linked places to donate?
What a waste of good art supplies.

You should be ashamed of this
