- In this episode I'll take a look at the ultra-cheap M-Audio M-Track Solo. This entry-level interface comes in at the $50 mark, making it a direct competitor to the Behringer U-Phoria UMC22. How does it perform? Let's take a look!

I love how you make a song to demonstrate the various instrument and input functions of the interface instead of just talking about it. Very good.
This has gotta be the best review on audio equipment out there. Thank you for this. You are so underrated! You deserve a million subs!
Man .. I just fell in love how well you just demonstrated tgis product... Almost in every poosible way we could use our audio interface
You wrote an excellent tune. I love the harmonies and the groove.
very detailed review and i love how you demonstrate everything- from installing the software to actually using different instruments and mics! thank u so much for this! very high quality and very informative, it’ll definitely help me out a lot since i just bought the interface and have never used one before!
Fantastic tutorial , great job and a cool song. Thank you so much for this video.
Absolutely loved the video. It certainly deserves more views! Very useful indeed!
Best and Detailed review of this one does not existed until yours man !! You are surely underrated.
Ordered this for my wife. Glad to see it will do the trick Great jam you got there! Thanks for this review
I'm getting one of these for christmas, I really need it for streaming and music, thank you for making this video 👌🏻👌🏻
Yo tengo una Track Duo; y después de haber recorrido muchos videos, este es sin duda el mejor que he visto sobre la M-Audio Track; felicidades por el trabajo, la canción graciosa y excelente.
Good... the best m-audio m-track sólo explain and unboxing!!
I was looking for some help with setting up my M-Audio. What I didn’t expect was to find my new favourite UA-cam channel. I’m floored by your humility and warmth in your approach to teaching us. This is a 30 minute video and the time flew by. It’s like having a friend explain it to you. Thanks for your help and kindness.
Thank you very much for this extensive review! I'm a beginner in all these and bought this model instead of an amp to play my brand new guitar! It's just for hobby/have some fun so it will be perfect!
And I really loved the song! 😁🎸
LOVE THE INTRO. Very useful review for a bassist like me
Helped me out a lot, thanks. I was having latency issues and now I know why.
very nice - straightforward and easily understood, with no gimmicks. you've got some great gear there, lucky man! you're a bit of a sleeper genius...
now ..this is my kind of hands on review. You walk the walk man...awesome demo..
Your song has almost studio quality and I mean the interface even gives the whole thing a vintage touch :) Sounds really convincing!
Great job, man! Congratulations!!!
That was one sure test . Exactly answered all my questions. Did not know you could input signals without an amp. Have always used an amp in the past.
Thanks. I wrote a song in 1970 and recording it and tossing it onto UA-cam is on my bucket list.
Awesome job with this review man! Thank you!
Wow this is a great review and help me understand so many things. Thank you so much for this great video
Excellent review and song, as always!
That knob for Input 1 is like the knob of my shower, you are either freezing or boiling alive.
What a great simile. "Like the knob on my shower, either freezing or boiling alive." I'm gonna steal it! 🙂
love this review! Just a quick real world application.
That was extremely well done, love the song!
this is the best review ever thx
This is exactly the kind of video I was seeking! Every body just goes on talking features but no one does this lol
Excelente video, muchas gracias!
Well done YHRS. The song was a cool tool too. Oh, the harmonies - ACE! The interface...well cheap as chips and twice as oily.
Very helpful review sir! Great job!
Best review. Thank you for your time.
dude that song was fine. thanks for the unboxing
Love the vocals!!
Hahahaaa... I love this!
I watched for M-Audio setup but I forgot M-Audio. Your melody is really good
I like your review techniques.
Thanks you, this video helped like crazy.
M-Track Solo + Klark Teknik CM1 + SM58
Probably the most cost effective set up I've ever had.
Also, another thing the M-Track Solo has over the Behringer interface is that the phantom power switch is at the front. :v
Thanks for this great video! I bougth a M-TRACK Duo after watch your video.
Best review ever
Amazing review
Thnx for this awesome informative tutorial video it’s great for someone who knows nothing about this but willing to learn & u’ve definitely made it more liking & fun for me to know more. So, thnkQ again🙋🏻♂️🙏🙌🫡‼️
Thank you for this video
Amazing dude! great artist btw!
Hey hi thanks for the very in depth video of this product , i have the um-22 as well and on Chromebook and ipad iOS it just stopped working . Well I just ordered the m-audio from Sweetwater should be here tomorrow plus I got a Lenovo ryzen5 from my son in-law and installed cakewalk/ bandlab to give it a shot again thank you as I’m sure I’m going to use your video as a reference tomorrow setting everything thing up for windows 11 as I watched other videos were people are saying 11 is more audio production more friendly than 10, thumbs up and subbed 😊
Man, made a whole song just testing a new product lol I liked that song. Thank you.
I was playing my guitar with a lot of lag, tks man, hugs from Brazil
wow amazing work. experts doesn't blame machines.
Great real world review thank you, on the touchy knobs the Ultragain Pro-8 Digital ADA8000 has the same kinda thing going on at the end of the pot. you will find this is the case with cheaper gear, try it on some of your older gear you probably never noticed it, but because the headphone output level was low on that "M-Track Solo" you cranked the input up. Anyway it looked a good bit of gear for the price :)
Very helpful thank you.
Thank you!! very nice review.
The best demonstration how the product works with different gears. I think this product is good for beginners like me. Any words?
This guy is great, thumbs up 😊
Great review 👌
This is real unboxing 👍❤
just what I needed :)
Great intro!
Thanks a lot for this!!!
Only video I've found in the last 2 hours which takes me from having a guitar and DAW to playing on it. No one online has a tutorial like this
Thanks for the video
Great review.
This is a very cool review. You used dynamic, condenser and ribbon mics. Bass, acoustic, electric, midi… Thank you!
Muchas gracias
damn dude, at first i thought, ok lets watch another of those "reviews" out there and see if it gives me sth.... turns out it is the best review out there.. and even more. you created such a good song with this budget interface and kinda show that you dont need the most possibe expensive high end equipment out there to create great music. i love this video, this song and will recommend this video to anyone who wants to know sth about this interface. keep this up i really love your way of "reviewing" 💜
Thanks man, I greatly appreciate the compliment. I hope that whichever interface you end up choosing that it brings you tons of joy in creating some great music!
@@YHRShi...can I use the mic input for backing track from my iPad?...tnx
Great review!! I also have this one
Great review just one point I have. The fact that behringer uses asio4all maybe considered a good think. Also behringer can always make a driver available if needed. Support by asio4all is probably a lot more dynamic than m-audio ;)
You did these things in a very funny way!
Thank you!
Very nice.
Nice job with the track. Very polished. Surprised by the quality of the audio coming out of the M-Track. Sounded decent. Might just be the thing to stick in my backpack when I go out. Having said all that, I've just switched to MacOS and an M1 MacBook Pro after being a Windows user for like forever. First thing I've tried was my trusty Fast Track Pro interface with Reaper, Garage Band and Audacity - no dice with any of them. Interface shows up as a USB audio device but no bueno with any audio software thus far. Kinda bummed by that, which is why I've ended up here hoping that the M-Track might be the solution. At least it looks like it may be supported by macOS Monterey.
You did not waste 30 minutes of my life 😅 Thank you for this video. Love from 🇵🇭 🎸
thanks sir....thanks alot
Well presented :)
that intro song dope🔥🔥🥲
Good Review!
I bought an M-Audio M-Track Solo after my Rocksmith truetone lead turned out not be recognised by any plugin or draw .I watched this video in the time in-between ordering and receiving ..1 day.. and you inspired me those Beatle style backing vocals ..if I hadn't already purchased it I would now...I cant wait to try it
worked well for rocksmith? im trying to get one for that
@@tunefulcathodic the true tone lead worked a treat... I've not used the maudio... Turns out I didn't really like rocksmith!
wow! nice
9 months ago I was going to go with this interface until the minifies 1 realeased and I just knew that was the route to go instead of buying the m audio
thank you for the best review. i'm using m-track solo and still got the latency (like 2 seconds!) especially with electric guitar.
Wow, that is a lot of latency. My first guess would be to double-check the ASIO buffer settings and see how low of a setting you can get away with (like 64 or 128 samples).
@@YHRS just tell me should I buy m audio or Beringer um2? I am a flute player! Just I will make flute cover on it!
@@tonmaychakraborty6642 Between the M-Track and the UM2, I'd go with the M-Track. But if you mean the UMC22, then I'd say it's a toss-up. They're pretty similar to each other, and they'd both work great as a first interface.
Hello, this was an amazing review, I want to ask if there was any latency while playing the electric guitar? ( latency between the guitar and the line output/guitar amp). Also, the track duo version has quarter-inch outputs so you can directly connect it to your guitar amp's input.
Incredible content. I love your videos!
I watched some videos and noticed that you have some Beatles and Guns 'n Roses influences. I am right? Thanks you for the amazing content. See ya!
Awesome review. Looping how ur doing I looking to it .
Nice
Hi, I'm getting this next week (I'm getting the Duo), and I just wanted to ask if the licensing for the included software can be used multiple times? I'm currently on a Windows PC that I've been meaning to upgrade for a long time, and I've decided to switch and buy a new Mac later this year. Will I be able to transfer the license to that new machine?
Or should I just save the licenses until I get a new computer?
After watching most of this I want to get the band back together!
But the RCA plugs on the back seem a bit limiting as you say
The M-Audio drivers didn't work for me when I played back a track it was in a different octave sometimes it was fine and sometimes it was terrible I deleted em and used my windows drivers now it sounds fine
Hi I’m wondering what the best gain level is for the microphone and headphones
Um looking at getting a used one from amazon but can I still D.L. the drivers on previous used ine? Or should I not worry to much about that this would be my first audio interface.
For some reason it won't let me change buffer size, and input output don't work at the same time as they're mismatched
I need help! The interface is not picking up my microphone I don't know what I did wrong
how do you set the Gain knob when connected to the Keyboard?? is the keyboard volume raised or the gain on Mtrack raised??
I just need a thing to connect my home theatre system to get good sound for movies can i use it? To connect my home theatre with rca cable?
iI have white noise while using an electric acoustic guitar, but it disappears on direct monitoring and only exists on direct recording
Hey is theere a present of guitsr acoustic tonr there?
I bought an M-Track Duo. I hear all kinds of electronic noise at the output. Later I found out that it was not shaded inside. In addition, the outgoing dynamics are weak... Now I'm looking for another card...
Can someone tell me if i can use the mic input for backing track from my ipad? Tnx
I need help I am now getting the error hardware not connected and when i install the driver its gives this error with the words digital signature in it
Cant I just listen it from my PC? Do I need a headset? Or ho can I connect it? I see it moving, but cant hear it 😞
How do I set this up to hear the guitar through my desktop speakers "only." I have usb to rca cables and my speakers are plugged via 1.5 mm to my computer. My condenser mic is working and all drivers are up to date. My speakers have usb and 1.5 mm jacks. I hooked them up to usb but still no sound through speakers. I set my speakers to the PC's m track audio speakers selection but no sound is heard through speakers. And, yes, everything is plugged and in the ON position (chuckles). I just want to plug my guitar in and listen to it on my powered speakers without using headphones. Can anyone help? Tks
