I don't understand how he plays chords and melodies seamlessly while moving his hand all along the neck. He even took his hand off completely at one point and the chords kept going, madman. Incredible playing.
Excellent! I like the way you casually adjusted the tuner peg while playing without missing a lick. And if I was there I wouldn't be talking, I'd be listening.
Pensei q fosse brasileiro! O cara tem o Molejo e a marra de um brasileiro! Agora o talento do cara do violão....eu toco mais 10 anos e não chego nisso! Esse é mestre dos magos do violão
Nice relaxed rendition of a great Peter Green song.Green in his heyday certainly best English blues guitarist. BB King famously said he was only guitarist who gave him the chills. His version and playing of his composition is the original and the best.
Seems a ‘ladies lunch’ place. A cozy dark jazz bar in the evening might find a more appreciative audience. Been a fan of Nando for a decade. Wish I could play anything like him ... he has the innate talent.
What talent, he is one with the guitar that comes to its own beauty because of him. What a gifted man, pity the people around him did not realize the talent sitting next to them.
This is pure musical genius. He's not imitating the original. He's reinventing a masterpiece a few bars at a time and without any apparent effort in a highly distracting environment. And Ive never seen him refer to a sheet of music or iPad etc.... it’s all in his mind
glenn lopez His bass line is all in his right thumb. Many top players like Tommy Emmanuel do that all the time - Chet Atkins did it constantly. Sounds like a whole band playing but it’s one guy
A lot of people think that this is a Carlos Santana song. It's actually a Fleetwood Mac song. The original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer. This was years before they turned into a top 40 band with Stevie Nicks.
@Taotaomona You missed the point. And there is no such thing as common knowledge about what Elvis covered because his songbook is enormous and like any other iconic piece most people assume that it's the original. Not even the fact that Elvis emulated virtually every R&B singers he ever heard is common knowledge. Yeah, many of his most avid fans get that about Elvis. And I apparently learned about Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller before you were born, most of my record collection is on the original vinyl and some direct to disk imports from Japan. The point is simple, there are a plethora of songs that were made popular as covers the song in question is not by any means an exception; this is a well known fact that you can't comprehend. You don't have to be Ken Burns to understand the fundamental concept that magic happens in the studio, whether you're Sinatra, Ella, Vaughn, Donald Fagen, McCoy Tyner, Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Sir George Henry Martin, Johnny Mercer, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, Hank Williams, Robert Allen Zimmerman, Phil Spector, Holland-Dozier-Holland, or Karl Martin Sandberg, etc. Any questions?
@Taotaomona Yes, of course I know that Big Mama recorded _Hound Dog_ first; I brought it up to you. In fact you thought I was Black and you tried to make this a racial thing. Wrong, Trailer Man. Keep your bigotry in check. You're a condescending nitwit who doesn't understand that musicology is low hanging fruit on the intellectual tree. Even dipshits like you can look up factoids.
@Taotaomona You're feeble, but go ahead, butt-breath, bring it. I'm a pathologist, and while I majored in biochemistry as an undergrad at Cal, I also minored in music, where I studied with Prof. Richard Crocker. I use to play guitar professionally. I toured with Tom Jones, Engelbert, Diana Ross, and the 5th Dimension. I also recorded on Dukes of Hazard (among other shows), where I shared the guitar chair with people like Dennis Budimir, Thom Rotella, Tommy Tedesco, and Mitch Holder, (my mentor was Tommy Tedesco), all before I even considered going to med school. I can tell you that the Gregorian Chant is the basis of all Western Music. I can tell you that Art Blakey traveled to Africa to learn about the roots of jazz only to discover that jazz is an American music. I can tell you that Miles never actually told Herbie not to play the butter notes. I can tell you that the most sampled piece of music, the Amen Brother drum break, was on the "b" side of Color This Man Father. I can tell you that Diana Ross is hated by virtually every musician she's ever employed. I can tell you that one of the best pop bassists of all time was Carol Kaye, who to this day can still make a hit. I can tell you that percussionist Luis Conte is a very funny person to room with while on tour. And who the fuck are you? An underachieving trailer monkey with the cognitive function of a marshmallow. You're out of your league.
What a joyful version of this song. Thank you for this. I cannot believe there are people in the cafe who are talking and making so much noise while this is happening. I would just want to sit and listen. Glad you just kept on playing and recording - though so we all get to hear it.
Personally,I’d rather experience his music live on any patio in the world, than hear studio version where it’s overdubbed, sanitized and frankly, wouldn’t be his music, but that of the producer. The man is a wonder on guitar, why ruin his legacy in a studio?
As a musician, I always watch people play on here and wish I could jam with them. You though, I would just sit and listen because there's nothing I would add to this. It's simply perfect in execution, feel and vibe. Those people enjoy it but they have no idea how truly lucky they are to be there soaking it all in.... Well done sir, you are a real inspiration to me to always just enjoy the music and not to worry about if it's good or correct, just play and vibe and create positive memories (:
I love it , I wish the people in the back ground loved it . Very smooth I was raised on heavy metal but I've mellowed out ..... I would love hour or two of this . Nylon strings have a beautiful voice .
How can people walk by this incredible music and not even stop to listen?
Harvey Hensley they do not realize the complicity behind these songs only those who truly believe in the music can understand its complicity
It depends on what you have to do.

Where are you playing? i'd do anything come watch you live!
It in the Canary Islands but don’t think he there as it was sometime back
It seems funny that the few people there are probably not paying all that much attention yet hundreds of thousands enjoy watching him on UA-cam.
He’s amazing. Just wondering whether Tommy Emmanuel has watched him play.
so casual, the most laid back guitar player out there
