- Join chef and TV presenter Ainsley Harriott in a behind-the-scenes video on the set of his ITV show, Ainsley’s National Trust Cook Off.
This new cookery show challenges Ainsley Harriott and his chef friends to create recipes using fresh ingredients found in some of the National Trust’s kitchen gardens. Featuring 10 episodes, this light-hearted competitive cook-off has been filmed at Blickling in Norfolk, Wimpole in Cambridgeshire and Tyntesfield in Somerset.
Did you know you can cook with green strawberries? If not, you’re not alone. In this video, Ainsley shares his new experience learning how to turn this seasonal fruit into a delicious dish. He also talks about what it’s like working with a variety of chefs and how he fell in love with cooking. For those who are interested in learning more about Tyntesfield’s working Kitchen Garden, Gardener Anna Parker tells you about its history and what its role is today.
Just a stone’s throw away from Bristol, Tyntesfield is an ornate Victorian Gothic Revival house surrounded by extensive gardens and parkland. Its interior is richly decorated and furnished with a collection of over 72,000 objects. The garden is varied, ranging from open lawns and formal terraces to a historic Orangery and working Kitchen Garden.
