Well done, Rob. Looked challenging. I planned to paddle out tomorrow, but too windy. Sunday looks doable. I'm hoping for a squid or two, and maybe red gurnard, before they leave for the season. Keeping an eye on the southerly swell!
@fishingsalcombe thanks, Rob. It's looking good for me tomorrow (small tide and wind). Squid can be frustrating to catch, of course! I'm getting the 12 - 20lb Ugly Stik. Is yours the GX2 one? I think I have a spinning rod from the same range.
Not catching your target species, but still.....getting stuck in the wreck twice, with fish, and retreving it from the wreck with the fish both times. You are either a very good fisherman or super lucky hahaha. I will keep it that you are very very good at what you are doing, but....i would buy a lotteryticket now😊. Definitely had a bit of luck on my side Stipo! The drogue is like a mini parachute that you can deploy of the bow to add drag and slow down wind drift. It won’t stop tidal drift but it can take maybe half a knot off your wind drift. 👍🎣

Yes, mine is the GX2, they also make a kayak version which I think is just a bit shorter?
