- Callaway Mavrik hybrids review is the pro the pro. Mark Crossfield and Coach Lockey hit the new Callaway Mavrik hybrids and talk about what and who might enjoy these golf clubs. The Callaway Mavrik range has been popular and has some great new features can the new hybrids in the Mavrik range be as good as the driver. Testing the pro Mavrik hybrid against the standard Mavrik hybrid see what this years difference is and which golf club might suit your golf game the most.

My comment has nothing to do with these 2 clubs but I recently bought and played with the Cleveland Launcher HB 5 iron and my god is it good. As a scratch player but getting older at 63 i'm having trouble getting my regular 5 iron in the air , consequently my spin rate was below 4k but I gained over a 1k more rpm's with the Cleveland 5 iron to bring it to almost 5k (4950). Thanks for turning me on to these clubs. I now hit it 15-17 feet higher with more spin and my distance hasn't changed. Thanks again

Tested and purchased two Pros this morning. Now have a full complement of Mavriks from 4H to Driver. Great job supercomputer!
Went straight out and bought a pro and love it. Just wasn't getting on with the high toe, swollen toe hybrids. Thanks guys

215 yards with the pro first time with 18 degree loft is a decent strike as for the 228 yard carry is just superb and the sound is gem like
Of the Callaway hybrids I always liked the earlier Apex model because the head was shallower from face to back. Both of these look bigger from face to back than that one.
Have a look at Lee Whittaker, testing the mavrik 4 hybrid!
Mark, new golf game idea, but you’ll need props in the form of either a big dice, or a wheel of fortune type spinny wheel!
Assign each number or selection a scenario such as; Hit it left handed, hit it cack handed, opponent chooses a club, hit someone else’s club, happy gilmore etc etc and away you go!
I’ve played it with dice a few times and it’s a laugh

You might not have the Max but I sure do!!!I really like the way Callaway came out with 3 different options for the Maverick. I have to tell you though the performance of the Max is the most consistent of those options. And I will take consistency all day long! I have a mixture of hybrids but am currently testing and enjoying the Maverick Max I hope you guys will get to review them as well. . All that being said though I have been trying the Callway Big Bertha 2019 Hybrids too that are on close out. After trying them all I like the Big Bertha's much better. Seems like a better shaft and a much better hybrid overall. A much more solid make.
You boys have really upped your game with your vids and content, and I believe Mr C has evolved in to a very likeable YTuber - nice work chaps! 👍
The thing that's often overlooked in strength and speed training is recovery. Don't put yourself through any program in which you're not recovering from. Let yourself get stronger, rather than force yourself to get stronger. You're still young enough and have enough time to accumulate speed over time. Nothing sets you back like injuries.

pro all day....funny how at the release of the Maverick, alot were not liking the name...after performance testing nobody cares anymore...Callaway has really come out on top so far

The pro reminds me of the ‘bio cell’ cobra hybrid . Be interesting to see a comparison, I’ll bet there’s no difference in performance, even after all these years . 😉🏌️♂️⛳️🍻
This was helpful! I have mavrik pro irons from 4-P and have been loving them. Ordered a 3H mavrik pro today and think that will fill my gap between Driver and 4 right now. I’ll probably end up hitting my 4 iron less often but then I’ll get the shorter approaches I’d prefer. Appreciate the grouping info. Thanks!
Taylormade SLDR best hybrids ever. 220 yard 3 hybrid and a 210 yard 4 hybrid. I have a big gap in between my 5 iron and 4 hybrid. I may need a 5 hybrid.
I like the standard. It has the same shape as my steelhead XRs that I swap in and out of the bag depending on course and my swing. The pros remind me of the cobra f8 hybrid shape which I actually also like.
was able to add a standard 4 yesterday on the cheap 120 new to complement the Rouge D and 3w in my bag that werent cheap
Do really like call away hybrids. Got an x2 hot pro in 18 degrees and Xr steelhead in 22 degrees. X2 hot looks like this pro shape and XR looks like standard. I didn’t like the look at first of Xr but performed well. Don’t notice the different shapes as much now.
Definitely prefer the pro looks & shape it’s what I look for when buying a hybrid

Great content again Mark and Coach!! I really love the idea of hybrids but I struggle to hit them. I'm a 7 wood player, I just find Woods easier to play and control
same, I've kept my trusty taylormade steel200, 7 wood, it may be old, but it's always reliable

I bag a Rogue 7 wood instead of a hybrid. It looks very similar to the Mavrik Pro hybrid. A comparison would be interesting.
I still have two X Hot hybrids and their shape is like the pro hybrid in this video. I love that shape and hate the ‘iron’ looking one
I like the looks of the standard better. Probably because it looks like my Rogue X. So easy to hit.

I'm with Mark, the Pro looks the way I want a hybrid to look. But Matt, the Mavrik driver looks terrible - what a step back in looks from the Epic and the Rogue that came before it.
Love the compare. Really... not much difference at all! Good to know considering lofts, strikes, etc...
I do love the look of the pro a bit more. It reminds me of their old XHot hybrid...but with a different face and more "tech".

Good vid guys. I play a 3 and 4 Adams hybrid. The 3 is more like the Mavrik Pro and the 4 is more like the standard. Prefer the Pro looking one also 👍

Love Callaway hybrids. Gamed a RAZR X HL until this year ( not trying to bring up the shaft issue..lol) but I couldn’t game the stiff heavy shaft any longer. Testing and thinking about new Marvik’s if I can get my tax refund soon.....lol

The biggest criteria for when I bought my Cobra F6 hybrid a few years ago was adjustability. Looks were a big factor as well. I love Cobra hybrids

Call away have been on fire since their X2 Hot and X2 Hot pro drivers. Great clubs. You should test the X2Hot against the Mavrik. I reckon there would not be much in it, if anything at all.
Still have a X2 Hot Pro 5 wood and 20 & 23 Pro Hybrids. Should have kept the Driver, might source one sometime.

Standard is very Adams with that hightoe, Pro very similar to the X2 Hot Pro Hybrids.

I think they did that because: Complaint: I can't hit a hybrid; Reason: It's in between a wood and an iron and I don't know what to do. Pros know what to do with them. Many amateurs don't, and revert to playing irons when they should be playing hybrids. So the non-pro version is made to look like an iron so that it says "play me like an iron" to the amateur.

Interestingly, I have an older XR Pro 2 Hybrid from Callaway, and it's the fat toe version. So apparently Callaway used to have it reversed where the fat toe was the pro version, and now they've gone and switched it?

Enjoyable vid, but that's not a golf win Mark and Coach, that's a lottery ticket win. The green was laughing like its winning at dodge ball.
The blocky, "toey" look of the standard always gives me turf interaction issues in that look of club, and I always feel i can get the more rounded bottom of clubs like the Pro version onto the ball clean and free. Just watching I *FEEL* like I can get that Pro version pure all day, but I'd need perfect lies just to have any day with the standard. Does that describe more as a "sweeper" of the hybrids?
If you're hitting the turf with the toe, you have some serious swing issues.
Can you give each other a lesson? That would be a good video. Especially after that dispersion.. XD . Haven't found anything as good as the newer M1 hybrid model. Adjustable and able to dial it in for lie and loft. Essential if your irons are not standard lie

Funny, the apex was marketed as the "better players" club and had the identical head shape to the regular mavrik hybrid. This is completely backwards.
Mark - it's interesting that you mentioned your elbows and speed training. I had heard you bemoaning your elbows before on the course with Dan and wondered if the speed stuff might have been the cause. I started speed training after you and Dan kicked off your challenge and not that long after, my elbows started to give me problems. I stopped the speed training but continue to deal with the elbow pain. I'm getting some treatment now so hope to turn things around soon. Hope the same for you too.

Square toed hybrids are easier to hit and are more accurate.
Just spent way too much of my time reading your twitter page, I find it interesting how many people are siding with the guy whose surname is a brand. I thought everyone on social media was concerned with unbiased opinions but it seems people will happily buy into concepts sold to them by brands. The orka guy is a good salesman whose chosen a clever line of marketing, he may even have a good product (I’ve never tried it) but the shaft is NOT the engine. This shouldn’t even be an argument, if you really desperately want to make up a car analogy you could maybe argue the shaft is the chassis?
On your qcquad what features do you have (club measure, putting measure, fsx 2018)? Would you recommend all to purchase or what are your thoughts? Ready to pull the trigger on a launch monitor (gcquad, trackman 4, flightscope x3) and trying to get good insight on which one to purchase.
