Probably the best I have heard from the greatest Qawwals alive. Especially with all that young talent on show, with voices reminding one of Bade saab even. Fareed Ayaz is the ultimate showman and philosopher rolled into one and when he moves forward to the mike, its as if the whole world stops in anticipation. It would not be unfair to say Amir Khusrau would have been smiling repeatedly in appreciation from wherever he is, hearing the million nuances brought out by this amazing group

Just finished watching this and I'm short on words after this. Around the 14 minute mark, where Khusrau talks about how it'll be hard for them to survive this long night if they don't catch a glimpse of their beloved - the way it's been sung, the delicate melody at that point - honestly cannot get any better. Also watch Farid Ayaz ji sitting in the middle looks eerily like their father when he and Abu ji had just begun. The cycle always continues doesn't it?

I don't know technical details of Raags but I like to listen these type of music very much. Team is awesome. I am from India but I believe that music has no boundaries. Music will be listened if it is good no matter where from it is originated.

SubhanaAllah, a very beautiful melodious performance by fareed ayaz and party. The interchange between the raags was beautifully orchestrated.
I have listened to some of your kalaams and this would be a perfect sing for you, as you mansuri qawwals are also very talented.
2024 and I’m listening to this Kalam again when my father listened to it for the first time recently and asked me about it. Told him this was the first persian kalam after which I fell in love with persian poetry and qawwali.
But while finding a good version of this kalam for my father today, I came across this version by Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad and honestly it’s one of the best versions of Zihaal e Miskeen.

This is really a gem. Every kalaam of Hazrat Amir Khusrau رحمة الله علیه has a great value which surely can't be measured in kind. To feel it and to try to absorb it through love into the heart is what we can do. And it is very beautifully poured into the hearts of lovers by Ustad Farid Ayaz sahib and Ustad Abu Muhammad sahib. NFAK Saheb aksar druut laya mey gaatey thhey aur unka lehza thora punjabi rehta tha, lekin Pandit Fareed Ayaaz aur Abu Mohammed aksar madhyam yaa mandra laya mey gaatey hai, is wajah sey kalaam samajney mey asaani hoti hai. Pandit Fareed Ayazji ko is bhat kaa ehsaas hai, aur way baaz difficult kalaamo ko translate/explain karkey sumjaatey hai, jis karan sun-ney waaley kalaam aur sangeet dono kaa anand ley paatey hai.

Do you know which old song is that tune copied from? I have looked everywhere for years but all I can find are more recent naats with this tune but nothing older than this video.

The rawness of this qawwali and the prayers of sadness and longing felt like a complete half hour journey and it has left a beautiful feeling that my mind is unable to put into words. What a beautiful way to present a beautiful piece poetry.

عشق میں جلتی ہوئی شمع اور حیران و پریشان ذرے کی طرح میں ہمیشہ آہ و زاری کرتا ہوں۔آنکھوں میں نیند نہیں، جسم کو چین نہیں۔ وہ خود آتا ہے، اور نہ خط لکھتا ہے۔
