@@philhermetic I can see that it has, looks like it has had some good times and bad, suspect it's past few decades pre your ownership have been a bit of a miserable existence. I've no doubt you will restore it fully.
Great progress on the Holbrook, it was good to follow along. When you do the alignment on the Colchester it would be great if you video it. We aligned ours and it seems to be ok but I would expect your method would be a lot better
No Del, yours were excellent, I bought a batch from ebay which were (like me) cheap, and when the arrived I knew why, but all of them have cleaned up and are usable, at least to my required level of tolerance, they wont be making fine watches anytime soon! Phil
They came from ebay, I just looked up the number that was on the old batteries, which were nicads and these Nimh replacements were available for £16 each plus the usual. because they are Nimh I also bought a new nimh charger which is "smart" because apparently you can overcharge them and the charger needs to cut off whenthey are full, led goes from red to green etc, also £16! Try a search on your battery type number and see what comes up! Phil
A beautifully made machine, such a pity it's had such a hard life. You are bringing it back to its glory Phil. Best wishes, Dean.
Thanks for sharing, Charles
It's good to have you back, Phil.
Thanks Graham, it is good to be back, but some spring weather would be very welcome!"!

Brilliant video this week Phil, nice to see things moving along. Absolutely sterling work on the Holbrook.
It is progressing well, but has been abused in the past! I will make it right!!

Lathes looking great Phil. Nice work.
Thanks Tony, seems that past abuse has left me some problems, but thanks to the quality of manufacture they are repairable!
@philhermetic I'm impressed with those replacement batteries. Are they available to fit the older De-Walt drills?
