    Thanks Rusty. My obvious mistake in my early learning efforts, has been trying too hard. That is, trying too hard to play someone else’s music. What you demonstrate in all your videos, is, stuff them, just play what sounds good to myself, anything, anything random. Who cares? No one. Just PLAY. Cheers Rusty.

    This is great! I’m an intermediate player who is interested in improving my solo techniques a bit, but more interested in making my rhythm playing more interesting by adding riffs, double stops, etc. More of this, please! Really like your videos.

    Hey Rusty, would you say a modern electric guitarist needs to use a pic? I’ve been a classical guitarist for 20 years, and I’m just now branching out and playing for a band. Lead comes super easily to me, but Rythm is something I struggle with. My bandmates say it’s odd that I don’t use a pic, but I’ve got so much experience using my fingers straight on the strings I struggle with pics.

    • @rustysguitar1
      @rustysguitar1  3 місяці тому +2

      Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. There are many players that sound fantastic with just fingers. Also many players that hybrid pick. Like I do. Some rhythms are definitely harder with just your fingers. It really just matters what you’re trying to achieve from the guitar. Thanks again, Ricardo. See you soon.🎸 ✌️
