    So interesting. I have always been a nervous driver and gave up driving 20 years ago! Trying to overcome the fear again now is very challenging. I found there were a lot of memories relating to water for me: behind the first door my memory on my first holiday abroad as a child, in the sea having fun jumping waves with my late father and also my brother. Behind the last door I was standing at the top of a really high diving board. Reminds me that I have always been afraid of being out of my depth in water; never learned to swim well and have never dived off a board because I also have a fear of heights! Wow... very interesting indeed - thank you for all your videos.

    Was a large dark room. Various dark shades with the lightest shade looked like a column or support. Almost like of all the doors, I chose the room that hadn’t anything. Just a small amount of light that opening it might have let in.

    I'm going to use this hypnosis because I really need to go to driver school but I don't want to go and waste money. I want to go when I'm sure I'm going to be fearless. Thank you 🤗

    Hi - those twenty minutes flew by. My dishwasher is going in the background and to begin with I was really conscious of it and then I could hardly hear it at all. I got very tearful at one point when I was recalling a happy "present" memory and had to start breathing differently. The last room was a black door with a brass lock and big brass key. It took me into a situation where I was being told "i don't know if you're ever going to get this" and me walking away from my driving instructor with a head full of shame. Also, flashbacks of my driving test. I know it's the fear of being there again that's making me feel like I need to panic every time I get behind the wheel of a car.

      There will be a reason but you won't know until you explore it more. As I say, this is nothing like I do on sessions and we don't talk about doors or anything like that. It's just a way of getting people thinking but there are far faster and better ways of clearing the problem without having to do anything like this.

    So powerful! The first door for me was a childhood memory of getting a gift when it wasn’t my birthday, the second was my scan when I found out my daughter was a girl, then the 3rd was me on holiday in a photo when I was around 8-9 on a canal boat and I felt so poorly I really wanted to go home. I would love to know what that could mean! I have been working on my past experiences for a while to understand, and when I first had a panic attack driving it was on a duel carriage way and I was on the way to do a reading at a wedding and I was so nervous. It got worse over the last 10 years.

      Only you know what it means but what you've said is similar to many cases I've worked with. There's no way anyone else can interpret it and any solution given to you will fail. It has to come from you.

    Had a very interesting vision, the first door was back in my childhood home, the second was the birth of my first child, the third I was falling off a rope I was holding, guess it’s the “letting go” of my safety which is what I feel when driving, I just don’t feel safe.

    I have a feeling that you're great at what you do but I think I am extremely hard to hypnotize, plus I have aphantasia (no mind's eye) so I see nothing but blackness when I'm taken through these guided visualizations. I don't feel different, just feel like I'm laying there with my eyes closed, and no memories pop into my head. I have to exert some effort to even think of a random past memory. Not sure this method is for everyone.

    • @1stdrive

      That just means you're not a visual person. Neither am I and this doesn't work for me, I just get frustrated by being told I'm relaxed when I'm not and that I'm seeing things when I'm not.
      You don't have to lie down or close your eyes and it's not about looking for memories. Real hypnosis is nothing like you'll get from videos like this.
      People that say they're hard to hypnotise have the most to hide and I've experienced this as both a client and a therapist. The thing that's stopping you being hypnotised Is your problem; it's protecting you! It's like having a room full of junk piled to the ceiling and then you finally get the door open and it all flies out!
      I worked with someone this year who didn't think it would work on them but need help. I could tell from our consultation that they were very logical and doubted anything would work on them.
      Not much happened in the first session then in the second...the floodgates opened! They had a huge emotional release with no idea where it came from because it just wasn't like them at all. In the third session they went into a trance after my first question and sat there smiling. Over half an hour went by and they said they never wanted to leave this place they were in because it was so beautiful. I had no idea what was going on and I don't have to, that's how it works. My job isn't to hypnotise people, it's to guide them to hypnotise themselves.
      I've had the same happen to me as a client. I had several sessions with huge emotional releases with no idea what they were.
      UA-cam videos can only do so much and they're nothing like real sessions. You can find out more here www.1stdrive.com/do-youtube-hypnosis-videos-work/

    I managed to visualise everything clearly, but in the last room I couldn't make sense of what I was seeing at all. There was lots of swirling mist and not much else, so not sure whether I was avoiding what was behind the door.

    I have dealt with driving anxiety since the summer of 2016. Before this time I never had an issue, I even drove for a living, via dump truck, tractor trailer, and a bus. Since that time it’s been a battle almost everyday. With the video I’m not sure if I fell asleep but when it was over I did not remember anything about the room. I remember most other things but I have nothing from that part of it. Does that mean anything? I still had anxious feelings driving to work today, btw. Thanks

      It means you need to do it again. There's a lot of rubbish about how people take things in when they're unconscious or asleep. It's been proven to be false over and over again and it's not how therapy works. If it were true then you could just play an MP3 of how to learn a foreign language and by the time you wake up you'd be able to speak the language. That was big thing back in the 80s and it was all nonsense.

    • @tnjnewag

      Ok thank you, I’ll do it again and report back any questions that may come up.

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  Рік тому

      You have to answer the questions though. All a therapist does is help you find them, I can't tell you what they mean.

    The first door, I could see a ballerina in all black outfit with the walls white dancing in one place. The second door, I was with my grandmother as I was a child holding her hands and kissing her face and her soft cheeks. The third door I saw Nick Jonas?? (Dont even listen to his music or anything like that) And a little black spider.

    I found it difficult to visualise and imagine myself in the certain scenarios and found myself avoiding thinking about anything that was behind the door at the end 🤦‍♀️ what does this mean?

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  3 роки тому +1

      It means you're not a visual person, I'm not either! Most people visualise but we have five senses: sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. It's about finding the right one for you which is why it's impossible to fix everyone with a video like this. There are hundreds of techniques like this and then times that by the 5 senses, I'd have to make hundreds of videos to cover everyone!
      Imagine being on a beach. If you can't see it, can you hear the waves? Can you feel the sand? Can you smell the seaweed? Can you taste the salty air? Spotting which of the senses to use is all part of being a hypnotherapist and something you just can't do through a one-way video with no interaction.

      @@1stdrive I think I dip in and out of all of them but can't focus if that makes sense, probably less visual tho like you say maybe more smelling, tasting, hearing. Thanks interesting to learn 👍

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  3 роки тому +1

      It can be hard to focus. The way I learnt to do it is to imagine a big feather duster over your head and whenever a distracting thought starts coming in to your head just bat it away!

      I definitely understand Melinda. It's going on a year for me. We are going to overcome this anxiety and fear. We got this!!!

    • @1stdrive
      @1stdrive  2 роки тому

      The only way you'll overcome it is to get professional help. Being positive and saying you've got it only makes it worse as your mind will ramp up the anxiety to show you haven't got it and need to stop! Only by removing the real reason you have the anxiety, which is nothing to do with driving, will it go.

    • @brownja1973

      @@1stdrive So you suggested professional help for dealing with the a anxiety. When I stated we got this, it was meant to take the initiative to over the fear.
