Okay, i got a lot of requests to make this, so here it is.. I spent a long time editing and putting this together so i hope it's appreciated!
Remember this is MY way of doing things and if you don't agree or you don't like it then simply don't watch it.
But i hope this helps at least 1 person.

@AncasterParkour They're both side flips. If you face sideways then you're keeping your shoulders back and chest out. If you land backwards then you're dipping your left shoulder (If you sideflip off your right foot) which gives you the 90degree turn during the landing. Both can be easily altered with practice! :)

I honestly was surprised that I was able to land the feet and punch on my feet first try, although I only have to work on spotting my landing and working with my momentum. This is an amazing tutorial, wouldn't have been able to do it without this.

OMG. I've been Tumbling forever and lately changed up my punch fronts. The reason yours are so beautiful is because you don't really punch, it's more of a blocked "spring" because your knees bend slightly. When I figured that out with my punch Fronts it made the landing easier to control. Fucking thank you man.

This was a very nice tutorial it helped me a lot. i always used to end up doing a front 180 when i tried to side flip. It is really good and important in a tutorial to see lots of slow mo and broken down demos like this (: Is there any chance that you could do a back hand spring tutorial? Hey, I really appreciate your video tutorial. Today I just landed my side flip! Your tips really helped me on this one. You said to commit to it, I did. I've always done it one foot side flip, but I just don't get enough height. Thanks to your video I have more confidence in my side flip. Thumbs up for this guys video if it also helped you. @SmoothFlowParkour yeah its either ur stopping ur motion for ur sideflip like when u do the hop but u stop for a second than jump or u bend ur knees too much, and if ur leaning into it, try to keep ur chest up and ur body straight and try not to bend too much and look forward put ur hand up and throw it up and around like in the tutorial, i hope this helps...

Before the punch are you supposed to keep your chest still facing forwards? Today I tried my first side flips, but I think I start turning my body to the side too soon and I end up twisting in a very weird way....

@BuffMen101 In the doubleleg, you don't tuck. It's almost like a half pike. Sideflip, you tuck.

I have a question about backflips and frontflips. I can land a backflip, but I use my hands what is the positionings of your hands and feet when u start off? how do you tuck? And for frontflips I can only land them with no hands about 25% of the time, how are you supposed to tuck and start off? THanks a lot
i think a side flip is more easy then a front flip so what i suggest learn both flips and try and figure out which is more easy and learn them on a trampoline

this tutorial is dope , i have tried this tech but my hand always reflex to punch the ground just like handstand, can some give some advice to take over my reflex , i'm a bboy and really need this stunt before going some big battle , peace and respect ! :)

Make sure your back leg is kicking up behind you and at the same time you're throwing your arms and jumping up off your front leg
When you sideflip look straight forward to where your facing, if you look side youll spin there
What the hell, at some points it looked like I was looking at myself, especially when you were landing the punch technique one, haha nice sideflip too
this is one of the best tricking tutorials, I've improved my sideflip alot, but I still have a problem with the standing one:I often land it similar how you did in that side-roll-side combo on 3:29...just can't land it with my chest up like you ( 0:47 for example) and I can't figure out what I do wrong.Can you help me with this?
Yey, today i land successful my first SideFlip on the grass, first i just do a FrontFlip but, its not a good i little bit turn left, and i almost got SideFlip. Now i can do SideFlip easy. :-)

okay, I've been training on the trampoline for several months. I'm sure at the flips. but I dare not test on the ground. Is there a way to overcome the fear? grateful for a serious answer.
I got the two foot sideflip in the gym and tomorrow i'm going to try it outside. Any tips for outside practice?
I can do wall flips and back tucks no problem, but I feel skeptical about doing these... :P Hopefully I'll learn it faster than I did the front or cheat gainer...

Which is more comfortable for me? I'm right handed so should i go from the left facing the object or right facing the object? I dont know.. but for me, going to the left seems more comfortable...

@SlashParody By using your hands, do you mean you land on your hands? If so then that'd be a handspring.
Do you spot the ground the whole time or do you look over your shoulder then spot the ground.
I don't mean to sound stupid, but I think what you are performing in this video is actually a double leg flip. There is a big difference between side flips and double leg flips. In this video you emphasize more on torque in the torso and waist, that is a a double leg characteristic I am sure?
i have problems with my side flip instead of trowing my arm to the side i trow it to the front and do kind of a frontflip moving sideways and it harder to land
How do you avoid turning when tucking on you knees with the knees closed? I do it that way, too, but I turn and land in a position like after a backflip. :/ It kinda works with my knees tucked to the sides, but then the flip is a little more complicated for me :D But ty anyway, the tutorial already helped me a lot.

Hi, I cannot seem to throw my shoulder to the side before I really take off.
I have the Punch/ arm movement down. I just cannot seem to tuck correctly because I throw one of my shoulder's over.
Any tips?
Matt, whats more important? Getting height before your tuck, or tucking right after you jump. Because my problem seems to be that every time i attempt this move, i end up landing on the side of my body. Is it because I'm not jumping high enough or because I'm jumping too far?

Hey man, my sideflip is really similar to your sideflip where im really open. i struggle to get my chest to my knees and I rotate exactly like you do where i end up facing back to where I took off, the problem is I do Parkour/Freerunning and from a height that forces me into a back roll.. Any idea on how to stop that rotation in the sideflip?
@JaVSnIpEr well you have the answer, the arm you know what youre doing wrong so you just have to use that arm
yes but i have a weird problem cuz in webster i use my right to push and left to rotate, and in sideflips i use my left to push and my right to rotate. So i cant master any of them
some times i over rotate and others i simply dont rotate enough. how can i solve this problem with the landing?

When i try to block and get height, i just end up on my knees or on my side. I try to delay it, but it just doesnt work for me.

Hey im almost getting this flip but like you said on the 2 ft take off and land , instead of going up im going forward so its causing me to land straight on the side of my body, so my question is what really is the "punch"? everyone mentions that.
arent u supposed to face the camera instead of the direction youre coming from when landing?

I'm having problems because when I do my sideflips i look at the same spot and only when i go to the gym my sideflips are legit sideflips. when i do them i look at the ground the whole time.
I want to do a side flip jumping off my friends back can i still use this tutorial??
I know it may seem really stupid, but I am scared of hurting myself whilst doing this.
Is there anyway I could work up to this, or anything soft you could recommend to land on? Anything to help me get over the fear.

When I do statics I land almost in the same spot that I took off in. Is that bad?

very nice! I have question i used to do sideflips with right hand out first, But today i tryed left hand first & they came out better looking then my right hander weird. but im not used to taking off that way :( and i spin to the right, left hand sideflips look like spin to left it's weird man
Is a sideflip with your head pointing directly down with your body over you head or is it kinda of like a tucked tornado kick/540 type of thing???

oi i can do two foot punch sideflips perfectly and have time to spare in mid air(cus i got them really high) but cant get enough height off the seperate foot takeoff. iv always tried to do the one two step for em but never could get the height off of em. any suggestions?

When I try the sideflip I always land behind the line of where a took off, if you know what i mean.
Like I set up my feet and jump and tuck but i end up being not directly to the side by a little behind. what should i do?

i have a problem. i can block, i can reach a decent height, but my problem is the arm that pulls my body up, i dont pull with my arm, i just feel weird when i try to jump that way, and because of that i can't reach the maximun height i should get.
Any advise please?
