I’ve always adored walking around London all day, just like here in SF. Thanks for sharing your journey through the museum exhibitions. The tempo of your recordings are perfect because it doesn’t feel rushed.
Thanks for bringing us along on the museum tours, Mazzy. You’re a hell of a videographer. The Vinyl Factory exhibit was a fun surprise, the Factory Records aesthetic brought to life. Watching the Yoko exhibit walkthrough makes me wonder if John, after the maximalist insanity of Beatlemania, would have found the spare minimalism of Yoko’s work refreshing and comforting that fateful day at the Indica Art Gallery?
I was “ on duty “ volunteering today , and looked out for you , but had a great time meeting and helping folk from all over the World that come and explore this museum , and it’s atmosphere. ❤
The Nobel Peace Centre Yoko Exhibition in Oslo was sooo tiny compared to this. Wow, thank you for letting us come with Mazzy. And the next one. Just splendid, what a simcha! And a little bit of Norwegian input with the Todd Terje remix of Love is the Drug. Enjoy your next days.
Donovan released Sunny Goodge Street in October of 1965 - 2 months before the release of Rubber Soul. It's a remarkable pop record to have been released at that point in time. Jazz influenced drug songs were still far off the radar...and on top of that, it is just plain beautiful! The world still hasn't caught up to the genius of Donovan. Pip pip, Mazzy.
Thank you for sharing Mazzy. Each to their own. Admittedly I’m not a fan of Yoko Ono’s art, and the “Vinyl Factory” seemed low on ideas and content…maybe there is a lot more? This saved me two trips in London when I’m luckily there in two weeks. I’m glad you liked them. Happy trails…and enjoy those donuts! 🎉😊
Mazzy, that looked like a very cool and interesting day in London finished off with what looked like a fairly nice pint of Guinness. However to taste a really nice Guinness, you should pop over here to Ireland . Cheers!
Thanks for the wonderful tours. The Music of the Mind exhibit was very intriguing. Yoko’s art is very effective in that it makes you think and challenges you. Cool minimalist style. Also, loved you strolling Sunny Goodge Street. “A violent hash smoker shook a chocolate machine…” Much appreciation for sharing your art immersion day.
Glad you are enjoying your stay here! I must move my ass to see the Yoko exhibit. If you have time I recommend Francis Alys “Richochets” at the Barbican. Happy celebration!! 😍
Supposedly the ladder install is how John met Yoko at an art gallery in the 60's. You'd climb the ladder and peer thru a pair of binoculars that were focused on the tiny word L-O-V-E or some damn thing.
I like the interactive displays especially the nail piece. It was cool in that after you moved on you could still hear others as they added to the piece. Thanks for sharing part of the experience. I hope you’re having a great time.
Bagism! Tate Modern is perfect venue for Yoko. Having seen many exhibits there it looks amazing. Kind of chilling to see the step ladder and so many of the well known pieces by such a remarkable and misunderstood artist. Thanks Mazzy!
Your video is “Out of This World!” Much of today’s art leaves me speechless! I must be living a sheltered life! Avid Ellis seems very distinguished! Cool video!
Another great art gallery video. You have a knack for that. Perhaps that can be a new thing for you now you are retired - videos of art galleries of the world.
Hi Mazzy , glad you had a chance to enjoy Tate ‘s Yoko show ,and was that you in the dark / black cloaked peace bag , as I’ve often wondered what it’s like to fool around and do a bit of a three minute dance inside , but not had the guts to ask anyone to film it 😂
P.S. I thought you filmed the Yoko rooms very well too , and hope there were some “ Sky peaces “ left in those German helmets , that you could help yourself to ?
I couldn't tell where the audio portion of the Yoko Ono exhibit stopped and the background noises started. Did you bring your fingernail polish to identify your nail? Thanks, Chris
Would you describe it as conceptual art? If I made and presented that I would be laughed out of the country, so maybe the name adds some credence and gravitas
@@robinjones6999 if you know the history and the art movement she grew with in the early 1960s, then you know. Or might want to find out. 😇. Hint : Fluxus
Thank you for being my gallery buddy for the day. You were great company - happy birthday Mazzy 😊 D
Bless baby crying...

Love when you go to the art galleries!
Me too 😁
London is such a great city. The crown 👑 takes great care to provide for the English.
Mid afternoon in the city the boozers are already busy! Fun times in my old manor. Enjoy Mazzy!
Thankyou😊

Hammer time.

Excellent!
Glad you enjoyed but this to me would be torture , rather find a good fish and chips or Curry joint and do a right English Lager or 6 ;)

Awesome 🎉
WOW this was great
There is an interesting review by a Cynthia Zarin titled Another Life: On Yoko Ono This appeared on 8/23/2024 in The Paris Review
You live quite the life Mazzy Superstar. Envious.
🇬🇧😇
Enjoyable vlog 👍🇬🇧
Are you going to see the great David Bowie mural there ? Fan of Bowie and you 🙂 Iceland say hi…. again 🙂
Thank you! Yoko is apparently better on art than on singing.
Judging by that exhibition, not by much.
1:58 Someone chocking on the fact they paid money for this exhibit.
So let me get this straight… that last, beautiful, utterly inspiring shot of the Guinness wasn’t Yoko. Right? Am I right? 😎
great video
3:02 - I like the white chess and 5:27 - Blue (Sea Room).
P.S. I thought you filmed the Yoko rooms very well too , and hope there were some “ Sky peaces “ left in those German helmets , that you could help yourself to ?
Did you miss Devon Turnbull's system at the Reverb exhibition? Didn't see it on the video
Saw it. Lots of people there so couldn’t get good video. ✌🏼
Have a good time Mazzy.

The Pub: The great british institution for conversation and a pint even if with me it's more likely to be orange juice with ice cubes! :)
Very enjoyable.
Glad you enjoyed it✌🏼
Her singing sounds like a baby crying. Wait, what? Oh that was a real baby? My bad. 😂
Thst was a real baby 😎😁
Dont put down doughnut time it rocks!!
Kinks Central!!!
Yoko a conceptual artist? Wonder if the exhibit will be shown at MOMA. Beatles so long ago. Thanks.
The SF MOMA had a singular show 20 years ago but this one is coming to the states. Forgot which museum
@@mazzysmusic Above only sky is pretty accurate. MOMA NY would get me there.
I just missed you at the Tate. I would've bought you a drink.
David Ellis is THE best
We chatted about you ✌🏼
A Step Ladder??????? Classic Yoko.
Go read the story about Lennon and that ladder. YES
It’s a metaphor for the leg up Lennon gave her career😂
Would you describe it as conceptual art? If I made and presented that I would be laughed out of the country, so maybe the name adds some credence and gravitas

Just say no Norman and stick to the vinyl.
😵💫😆🌪️
Somebody explain the ladder 🤷♂️

@@mazzysmusic Thanks Mazzy
Terrible. the art of Yoko Ono is cultural poverty.
😆🥱
@@mazzysmusic I appreciate your travel-vlog, though.
