Haha I thought the same but then thought dude says he’s riding hard, the slight turn for this video on the concrete are the least of these helmets worries.
I just got myself the Tectal Poc and the plastic fasteners that secure your head seem to rub on the back/top of my ears do you have any issues with this? I spoke to POC and they suggested i make some padding myself for a £180 helmet i am really disappointed great video btw!
The system that tightens around your head loosens really easily and would definitely loosen in a crash, is it suppose to do that?! And is this thing actually good for mountain biking?! There’s no padding, and the helmet seems really thin! I’m mainly going to use this for fast biking around the city and hill Bombing would it hold up to a good crack of the head on the concrete?!?
Awesome review, I'm looking between the sixer and chronicle and I can't find any shops where I live that carry both to test. Looks like I'll be saving myself 50 bucks. Those Smith goggles are sick, how do you like them overall?
Great video, just bought the giro, it does look a good helmet, but the sweat in your face issue is what I feared, like my old giro, might go for a bell for that reason alone with the sweat drain thing, thanks for the help, great channel, be safe out there and stop breaking helmets
Good afternoon. I also choose between Bell Sixer and POC Tectal. What do you think is better ventilation? Now I have Bell 4forty, it's very hot in my head. From the front, the forehead is not ventilated.
vovok0071 the Bell Sixer had good ventilation and I loved the special sweat routing. The POC feels great for ventilation. That said, I shave my head so I never really get hot in any of them.
paul sladinski the height of the y-piece is not adjustable. You can only tighten the chin strap. The lack of y-strap adjustability has not been a problem for me though.
There is another adjustment on the inside at the back of the helmet, you slide the back plastic bit up and down to change the level, it took me a bit to find@@bikerscout4327
these helmets look like they're all cheaply made. It's as if they were designed to fall apart so you'd have to buy a new helmet. The tree branch catching the visor and breaking the liner apart is ridiculous. I ordered a Giro Chronicle and when i got it, the visor was broken. The plastic bolt had sheared off and was rolling around in the bottom of the box. If that helmet can't survive without something breaking off while sitting in its own box during shipping then that's just absolutely ridiculous especially considering this is a safety device. The POC is the only one that looks even remotely robust because of the metal screws and joints. However since the foam on the inside is still EPS, one good hit and it cracks, that $220 helmet is toast. Freaken ridiculous how these things that are required for our safety is designed to be such fragile pieces of shit that one hard hit requires a whole new helmet.
Damn man stop throwing you helmets around and grinding them on the cement. Respect the items that protect yo head. Go POC. Best helmet on the market. Spend that extra money cuz its gonna save your life. The others.....good luck.
You're killing me grinding those helmets around on the concrete!
Sorry. With the exception of the POC, all the helmets are damaged and not useable anymore. I'll pick a different surface next time

I cringe everytime he was moving the helmet at that rough surface 🙈
Thanks for sharing. I crashed over the weekend and need a new helmet and am shopping around. This was helpful .... still, one year later.
I use a Halo headband to slow down the sweat problem dripping on my glasses.
Buy this man a table cloth!
LOL the stormtrooper helmet got me XD
Great start to the channel. Keep the vids rolling. Looking forward to what’s ahead!
You sure like to scratch it on the concrete !
Savage the way your scraping them helmets on the concrete
I literally started looking at the comments just to see if someone commented on this:)
Nice review. I’ve ordered the sixer just for the sweat channel.

A light color like white would not get as hot as black and would be more visible on the roads
I’m thinking of getting the POC Trabec Race helmet..
Do you think it’s worth it?
. . .had to add some star wars stickers to the back because. . .
Watch out for those ewocks on the trails!
nice helmet

Does the poc have adjustable side straps at the Y piece...I've read some reviews saying yes...some no ???

Biker Scout thanks for info

All the helmets except the POC are busted and no longer used.
Giro ftw matte grey so i add my own bling. Poc is a scam.
I prefer the fit of my Giro and Bell over the POC after months of use. I picked up a Bell Super DH that I use most of the time now.
